    Jiex, I am so thankful I came across your tutorial. I've been sewing for over 40 years, but had never bustled a wedding dress. This was a daunting task, but what you demonstrated was exactly what I needed to see. Blessing sweet lady!

    Thank You looks very good. Question, I was wondering about another way that I have seen it done to do the loops for the bustle , but i do not know how to do them. Its were the loops are hidden inside and can be pulled out using a pearl that was placed for easy find. Can you help?

    • @CreativeArt2Heart
      @CreativeArt2Heart  Před 3 lety

      Yes, that's called under bustle. You can use ribbons. I cut the ribbon to 8" long. Mark the dress the same way but attach the ribbon from inside the dress including the lining. Cover the thread/stitch with beads so, it doesn't show. I hope this helps.

      Hi Donna! It's the same process except add a clear button inside to re-enforce the loop. It prevents from ripping the tulle. I would show you but I don't have a gown with a tulle skirt at this time. Have fun!

    The bride is very short, shorter than five feet tall. The train is long and has no lace on it. Do I still put the thread loop on the outside? Will it show in pictures when the train is down? Should I make 3 buttons the same height, or put the middle one up higher?

    • @CreativeArt2Heart
      @CreativeArt2Heart  Před 2 lety

      Hi Carmen! You can use cover buttons that. matches the fabric and color of the dress. Just play around with the train until it looks good for the bride. You can also do an under-bustle. I use ribbons to tie them together but make sure to add a bead or any pretty looking jewel to cover your thread that's holding the ribbons.

    Please do not use satin covered buttons. They will pop apart when put under stress. Most have a plastic shank, and these will break as well. Use 2-hole clear buttons, 5/8 in size. Wedding gown seamstress for 40yrs.
