This is a very interesting look into what Prototype could have been. I think the final product is superior, but the bone armor, and more human-like shapeshifting was an interesting direction. If they do a Prototype remake, they should have a sort of "beta legacy" skins option to use what's seen in this video.
I wish they stuck with the beta. Powers, clothing movement, parkour animations (car jumping, etc), hunters (brawlers?), all of it was done so nicely. It's a shame we'll never get it. Both the beta and prototype 3. R.I.P Radical Entertainment.
The powers are pretty mucg the same and the movement is less laggy/messy in the final product so wdym?? Look at the jump here, theres a delay on the jump animation lol.. However the White Armor and the Beast Looking Hunters were better in.here than the final product. they look more detailed, oh and the clothes were cooler too

The armor animation looked better than the actual one. He looked like he was about to suit up while in the actual game, he looks like he doesn't know that there's armor coming out of him
Eh, the parkour looks a tad more smoother in some areas, but other than that, we didn't lose anything interesting. this is one of the few video game betas where I'm like "I don't care to experience it, the final version is better"

The consuming animations are awesome unlike the game we got they just then into the blacklight virus and they just get absorbed instantly but these animations are a lot more gory and i like how the body hits the ground then gets consumed it's awesome to me! Ps I'm not hating on the og game it's awesome but it would be cool if they kept those!
New york was a great map for this but some other cities i could see thus working for are San francisco, and seattle which would be cool

It was good that they decided to change the consume animation, I mean like does your enemies going to wait and watch you finish consuming your victim? Nah they will just gun you down so yeah it's good that they changed it so you can fight or evade while enemies are around you
I see some visual changes to some vehicles. Taxis had a black roof in the beta and there were also Prius models driving around. Maybe more police cars too?
I want to get the beta one coz it looks more better with the car models and such also those thing you have to fight at those hives I want that kind of mutation hybrid in the prototype I have on ps4 coz they look more wolf or dog like but bigger and like the one we have on the first one
Honestly alex mercer in the alpha reminds me more of a evolved then a prototype given he had dual blades and the spike attack it was neat how the early version of muscle mass looked though
Soldiers look better and they give more immersion; it is a shame that they hadn't include the Humvee with 50 call in the finished product, it might have been more authentic. I also loved the tank and apache model in this one they look more real.
Nah no cut content all i see is beta progression, i mean look at final compared to this it's much better what we got. this beta may have had different models etc. and beta brawlers but it seems like a progression towards final game no cut content, i mean the armor is still in final more refined, the claws look better not 3 tips on one hand. Characters or map doesn't look that empty or pale
In my opinion, many things in the beta look better than the full version like the hunters, and the minimap, something I didn't like was the avilities menu, it looks empty in the beta, I would have liked Alex's mutations to have been preserved a little more of how scary they looked in the beta, I'm not saying they are not good in the full edition, I just think they went more for the edgy than for the creepy

There rnt really hints but if u think logically ull know that alex is the virus itself and that when alex released the virus for the very first time and got shot down the virus consumed and became him so the virus is alex but alex isnt the virus the real alex is dead but anyway when heller consumed alex he ripped off his arms before and didnt consume them so since alex is the virus his arms just need to get in contact with something that is alive may it b animal or human he could consume it and regenerate completely from it
imo the parkour in the final game isn't different from what's shown here. This is an early build probably lacking a lot of the features in the final game making the parkour work smoothly exactly as it does early in the game when the city is still in a calm state and the game isn't loading in zombies and garbage littering the streets or military related things either. Also I think the amount of action happening in the game leads to it seeming jankier while playing it as opposed to watching it
I'm super glad they changed Alex's clothing. The original design was too basic and not memorable at all, I like the one we got. It's way more recognizable although it's alot more edgy. I wouldn't have mind to see the other designs they had in mind as skins.
I wish there was a way to mod the original exoskeleton armour and cinematic into the game. Actually there might be, but I imagine enough of it would be both changing and reusing content easily deemed, "illegal". I still *REALLY* want it though. I want it as bad as I used to want Web of Shadows before playing it for abit. I still play it every now and then. I do not legally own the game however. Wink wink. Prototype is still being sold though, so I'd feel bad if I somehow acquired it and played it without legally owning it. I mean, I *USED* to have a disc for it, before said disc broke, and I technically didn't own that disc either, as it was an uncle's, but I had no intentions of ever giving it back so I think it doesn't count.
