    Hi Friends!
Join me for this 15 minute foot and ankle strength exercise routine. These are the exercises I have personally used to help recover from a serious foot injury and return to full foot health. To do this video you'll need:
✨ a foam roller or something to hang on to (wall or chair)
✨ A small ball or small pillow
✨ A set of yoga toes or pedicure toe separators - you can get my favorite set here: amzn.to/2i0MgFR
ALWAYS check with your doctor or physical therapist before starting this or any other exercise routine. Listen to your body and be smart! Healing is your #1 priority. Stop if you feel any pain!
In this video you'll complete a series of exercises for your toes, ankles, and feet. All of the moves will help you gain strength, mobility, and health. Hopefully they can aid in you performing better in all the activities you love or heal from an injury to return to full health!
Foot and ankle injuries are extremely common among athletes and other physically active individuals. Rehabilitation programs like the one in this video that emphasize the use of therapeutic exercise to restore joint range of motion, muscle strength, neuromuscular coordination, and gait mechanics have been shown to have clinical success for patients suffering various foot and ankle pathologies. Rehabilitation programs are beneficial for ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, turf toe, heel pain, ball of foot pain, toe pain, ankle sprain, stress fractures, mortons neroma, or other foot and ankle conditions.
The human foot is made of 26 bones and approximately 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It is also the part of the body that bears the most weight, so it is not uncommon to suffer from foot pain or diagnosed foot problems at some point in your life. It helps to make foot and ankle specific stretching and strengthening a regular part of your daily regimen. Take good care of your ankles, arches, and toes. It can be done in a few minutes a day and just might make the difference in keeping your feet pain and injury free. Exercise specific to foot care can go a long way towards improving all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Start from the ground up -- work your feet for a maximum body benefit! I want to help you live without pain and feel your very best! I hope these exercises serve you in having happy, healthy, feet.

Caroline, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This video (and some of your other videos) has been life changing for me. I am an athletic person who has been suffering from calf and knee issues for a long time. Even went through 6 months of physical therapy--which helped, but there was one part of the puzzle that was missing which you helped me discover. My FEET! Basically, I haven't been using all of my foot/toes! Duh!! THANK YOU SO MUCH. You've helped me bring my feet and toes back online. My pain and tightness that I have been living with for so long has disappeared. My ability to do the activities I love so much are changing and improving. And in my day to day life, suddenly I have more energy than ever because my body isn't in a constant state of inflammation. I am so grateful. I just want to add that it's not just the exercises, it's the things you say that make the difference. Like, when you point out that your toes are gripping the mat. That was a LIGHTBULB moment for me. You have taught me so much! (I am almost 60 and still learning how to use this body, LOL!!) THANK YOU.

I love this! I couldn't stay on one leg the whole time, accidentally threw my ball across the room, and had to grab for a nearby bed often. But I was laughing the whole time. This is what I've needed for so long. I look forward to doing it everyday. One day I'll do it perfectly. I'll keep using it because I know this will also improve my balance during yoga flows. Thank you!

Wow, this is GREAT! Some are the same as my physical therapist gave me, but it is more fun to do them with you! The push off is new, and terrific - just what I need, also the toe wiggles. I had a bilateral ankle break and surgery - bolts and plates, etc.My foot felt like a lump of concrete when I got out of the cast and then boot. Now I can do everything in this video except one thing - stand on the ball of the hurt foot. Maybe next week . . . THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Thanks for this video. I am going to try doing it daily and see what happens. I have had unexplained foot/ankle pain for 2.5 years in my left foot. I have had all the tests-X-rays, EMG, MRI. Have been in a boot, brace, have used orthotics for 5 years due to needing arch support. I have tried chiropractic and acupuncture. I do have yoga toes and they do help some. I came across your “hurt foot” series over a year ago, and I’m glad to have some exercise to do when the pain is bad.

It is a little bit HARD to know what is pain (meaning stop what you are doing right now) and what is discomfort (things waking up that haven't been used in a while). I appreciate hearing your experience with this!

However, I'm just concerned about the fact that you haven't pointed out to focus on rising with weight between first and second toe, especially as it is recurrent that you yourself rise with lots of weight on your small toes (probably because of your joint mobility).

I just love your videos! My friend and I do several of your workouts and enjoy you so much! I have something weird going on with my toes and have no idea why. But they kind of creak at different times. Doesn't really hurt but is a weird unnatural feeling so tried this routine and loved it. I am sure it will help. By the way, any hints on something for bunions? I have one large bump outside one of my big toes. It doesn't hurt, but sure is ugly. LOL

How did you know when to start doing these? Was your foot still in pain when you first started these exercises? Struggling to find a balance between injury rest and strengthening..

Yea I fell from my electric skateboard like 3 months ago and still have reasonable pain in my foot.. some joint tears maybe.. horrible. Trying everything now to get the strenght back and get the pain to go away. Hope this helps. After three months I am still unable to even fast pace walk without pain.

Bro, do ur check up with orthopedic Dr. U never know how serious ur injury can be. We miss judge it sometimes with normal pain and think it will get away. It’s better to treat injuries on time or else it gets worsen. Hope u get well

It would help to say how many times to do each exercise, so your followers can do it when they're not near a computer!
