As an older White man I will comment. This neighbor and his son need to be charged, arrested and convicted for their threats. This woman did not deserve this from her neighbors. A hate crime is a hate crime.

@@dbillingsley2012 The million dollar question you ask is a bit confusing to me as I nor my parents not even my Grandparents were alive nor in America in those days of slavery. My Grandparents came from Scotland as did my Father. My Mother's parents also came from overseas well after slavery. I was born in the same projects where my late friend Earl Simmons (a/k/a DMX) lived on School street. As years went on I grew up in South West Yonkers. It was a tough life and the only way you survived was being 20 steps ahead. I was a community activist for over 18 years, I too was a target by white people in blue and many times they put me in chains and into a cage all because I was for equality and true Justice within my community for all of my people. I have never treated anyone by the color of their skin and never will. You asked me why do I hate and my people hate you and your people. I cannot speak for other peoples opinions or actions however, I can speak of my own. I never hated anyone of any color, I may not agree with every person I have crossed paths with but never held hate. I've had more hate against me by white people than anyone else. They made sure I was chained just like the people I stood up for. Now, I was blessed that God sent to me a younger Black Woman 17 years ago who together we have the honor of raising 2 wonderful Sons. As a Human Race and not by color we must make a difference. We must unite as 1 race against those who do hold hated in their hearts against anyone. Those that keep screaming racism are the true racist against us all, and we must not allow it to continue. Dr. King wrote" Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial " outside agitator" idea. Changes can only come from all of us working together not as a race of colors but as a Human Race. I hope I was able to show you the Truth, people need to stop judging books by there colors and must spread words of hope, peace, and love as 1 race.

The son was literally held back by his father because he was trying to charge her while making terrorist threats against her life. What more do the police need in order to assist with a restraining order of protection? Her death? Good lord, shame on that police department.

I’m a Disabled Marine Corps Infantry Veteran, And I was seriously injured at a VA Hospital and was under intense medical therapy with Neurology,/ Pain Management and Internal Medicine and my so-called neighbors would get drunk and beat on my walls and call the Police saying that I was playing my music to loud and I listen to mostly Jazz, New Age,Delta Blues,Classical Music and R&B (Rarely with a Heavy Bass Line !!! ) They tore up my Patio Garden of Tomatoes, A Big Kumquat Tree , They called the Richland County Sheriff’s Department 3 times on me !!! The 4th time the Deputy got into their asses !!! And he told me he felt it was racially motivated and he was going to haul their asses to jail for making False Complaints and taking up their time and resources !!!

I agree about her contacting the NAACP and informing the FBI etc. But if she is put in a situation to defend herself with deadly force, the risk is that she may get charged with homicide. It's risky business dealing with violent attackers who have easy access because they can ambush you (or beat you to the draw) before you are able to defend yourself.

I am so proud of this woman! The neighbors being quiet is a bad thing. Cowards talk and let you know who they are' them being quiet means after that report. This is a dangerous situation because the police report, being written the way it is, creates an excuse point for them to have another incident. Any additional contact may be more dangerous and aggressive, if the son is involved especially. She needs a restraining order, and I don't think that is enough with these two men. For a dude, any man, to walk up on and threaten to murder, any woman, those are men that must be given clear guidelines and approached by other men, in regards to how unacceptable this is.
