    Modern trailer thieves use battery-powered diamond blade angle grinders. Show me you can beat that and I'm sold.

    Boss comes out. Sees the damage on asphalt from sledge cause the boys didn’t use a sheet of plywood. Hammer time. Thanks and I have ordered me one.

      Yeah and I’m sure most trailers have chocks or a jack stand to keep the secure and steady...

    Marketing videos always make the manufacturers products look best. I'm sure Reese has a similar video for their locks.

    Your using the wrong reciprocating saw blade. Use the diamond grit blade they will cut through hardened steel.

    They just chain-wrap the trailer neck and drive off.
    A tracker will get your unit back after it's stolen, maybe.

    If someone is stealing a trailer they aren't messing with any lock they are just taking the safety chains wrapping them around the hitch and driving off in about 30secs. Lock trailer and all

      🤔 Only a trailer thief would know that trick.

      Funny thing, something similar to that happened local to me. Guy had a massive lock on his trailer, so thieves took pliers and unscrewed the antenna to the guy's truck. Thieves then took the antenna and whipped the little magnetic ball tip into the window, and knocked out the glass. Having gained access to the interior of the truck, they then cut out the guy's seat belt. Thieves then backed up tight to the trailer, and tied the trailer to their own truck, and hauled off with it, lock and everything. Guy later wakes up, trailer is gone, along with his lock and seat belt. All that was left was a chewed up antenna because of the pliers.

    Unbolt the coupling from the tongue and put you own coupling on the tongue.
    That looks like a damn fine lock, you sold me.
    I'm getting one.

    Looks like a bolt cutter will cut right through between the holes on the metal strap.

    That is still a conservative review if he had some of the newest heavy metal Diablo blade that piece of flat bar would of not have a chance...

      Any diamond grit blade or angle grinder will also work.

    All you need to do is grab the chains and tie them to your hitch and drive the trailer away. You can do that in 30 seconds and make no noise.
    All you need to do is take out the 2 bolts holding the receiver to the trailer and bolt on your own receiver. They are cheap. $25 and you can do it in 60 seconds w/o making any noise.

  • @richardhenry5961
    @richardhenry5961 Před rokem

    Got to remember must thieves only bring what is cheap to use. Most don't think outside the box. I feel safe with "BOLT" hitch lock. You want a product like "BOLT" as a deterrent. Look; I also wrap my heavy tow chains around the BOLT hitch lock. Not even a bolt cutter can get through that. You make it more trouble then its worth, that's what I do...

    I bought your lock, but it comes with a 1-7/8" and a 2-5/8" ball. Why not include a 2" ball? Isn't that one more common? Do you carry the 2" ball insert that I could buy?

    • @BOLTLOCKS
      @BOLTLOCKS  Před 7 měsíci

      We do not have a 2" ball available. In our fitment tests prior to launching the product, the 1-7/8" ball was able to be retained in the 2" couplers we used for testing. While it was loose, it was held in enough that we were able to properly assemble the entire coupler lock, and were not able to remove it from the coupler. With that in mind, we didn't want to include another ball that would either end up in the junk drawer somewhere, or just thrown out.
      One trick some customers have used is to add a 2" fender washer on top of the ball before using the bolt to tighten it down. This will help if the assembly is feeling to loose during installation, without affecting it's strength.

    Who the hell is going to cut a lock off making a ton of noise? No one, come on. Locks are deterrents. Criminals are not going to go for difficult steals.

    Your video isn't convincing a thief would bring a portable grinder and take that lock off in 30 seconds not a reciprocating saw and you probably use the wrong blade plus there was vibration and spinning on the lock itself your video is no good if you want me to stop by with my portable grinder and break your lock I'll do it you just got to pay me

      So all of those fobs include an emergency key inside of them. That key is what is compatible with the locks.

    Just unbolt the coupler and put your own on since it’s not welded..

    • @automotivehulk5817
      @automotivehulk5817 Před 2 lety

      What can you do if it is welded because the coupler snapped off on the top so my hitch is still stuck to the trailer

  • @richardcaldeira3684
    @richardcaldeira3684 Před 2 lety

    The whole hitch is only held on by two bolts, just undo them and pop another hitch on….job done and trailer gone!

    A $3.00 cheap chinese made lock pick can get that off in a few seconds. It makes no sense putting a shitty lock core on a well made lock.

    Hit the front of your lock with the hammer.. like you did with literally both competitors lol.. you kept hitting the lock end.. of course it won’t break there. This lock looks like another piece of shit lock lol.. don’t buy this shit people. This one costs 5x as much as the cheap ones and almost the same price as the actual best ones that work. Just buy the right one not this junk
