Jeff I’ve been using iPhone since 2008 , watched a lot of tutorial videos, never saw anyone ,no one , go through general to shut down my phone or iPad. You de nan Jeff 🙏🏼🙏🏼 It’s literally faster than using the side buttons.

Believe it or not, there are actually people out there who need this video. The 68 likes prove that. The more iOS literate people just don’t need it because we’ve seen all this in the previous and newer models.

The part about how you have to enter the password and trust the computer on itunes really makes me feel safe knowing someone can't just steal my phone and wipe it easily.
Got this phone. Heard it was amazing
i found my old iphone and dont remember the password/passocde, i tried the recovery thing in itunes app with my computer but now its stuck in the recovery mode and it says error occurred (11) when i try to resore the factory settings, do you know what i can do to get my phone back????

I think when u press sleep/awake button 5 times, the emergency call pops up and.
Counts down. I learnt it in a weird way.
Also if you press the same button 3 times, the invert colors option turns on.
Why in new iPhones it’s volume up then down then side. Why not just side

I can't even get it to go back in to recovery mode the power button an home button at same time did it but home button isn't clickable ever so often an what your doing doesn't do anything but activate the SOS
my iphone automatically put itself into recovery mode and i the only way to get out is to update on itunes, but it keeps boot looping every 30 minutes and the update restarts. Anyone know what to do?

This doesn't work.
MacBook Air - phone is connected but locked - need to wipe it as PIN not know; not associated to any iCloud account as DEP.
It basically doesn't go into DFU mode and it shows again how useless Apple is with permanently changing the way how this works.
Device connected to MacBook and I tried:
Holding Power only - no luck
holding vol- and power - not working
holding vol+ and power - not working
holding vol- and power for 10 sec and then releasing the power button - no luck
the same as above with vol+ - you guessed it, not working.
I can put any other iCrap into DFU, tried 6s, 7, 7 plus, 8 - all no problem but the 'new'

Use 3u tools… to get out of recovery mode and to get out of dfu mode quickly press volume up then down and hold the power button.. you should see the apple logo in about 10 seconds

Not necessarily a ‘downgrade’ it’s just a cheaper iPhone with recent internals for people who want an iPhone that is relatively future-proof without paying all of their money on the premium lineup.
