This historic city of Extremadura, known as the “town of 1001 escutcheons”, is always worth visiting. You can feel like a time traveller as you walk along any of its narrow cobbled streets. Surrounded by mansions, Renaissance palaces and churches crowned by storks’ nests, you’ll understand why Cáceres is a World Heritage City. One of the prettiest historic town centres of Spain.
Cáceres has been location for a multitude of movies and series. Game of Thrones fans may be familiar with some of its locations.

Trujillo está muy bien también, es uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España (aunque bonitos hay cientos :)). En la plaza Mayor está el palacete que se hizo la hija que Pizarro tuvo con una princesa inca, el palacio de los Pizarro. Ella se vino a vivir a España cuando murió su padre en Perú.
Conozco Trujillo, de hecho estuve planteándome acercarme el mismo día que grabé este recorrido pero por falta de tiempo no pude hacerlo. Espero que en otra ocasión pueda realizar un recorrido por ese hermoso pueblo porque lo merece. Gracias por el aporte histórico!

What a beautiful town. I feel like I can really relax here. Cities now have so much going on in terms of sights, sounds, attractions etc. But here I can see the beautiful architecture, listen to the birds, and see people enjoying their time and taking in the city.

Lo único que te falta de las zonas turísticas de mi ciudad sería ir al Parque Principe , Cánovas y virgen de la montaña .

Cáceres es preciosa, no voy desde hace años así que me ha encantado recordar el encanto de su casco histórico. Cuando fui no estaba (o al menos no lo recuerdo) la colección de Helga de Alvear así que muchas gracias por entrar. El espacio es magnífico así que lo visitaré sin duda cuando vuelva 😊👍
Hola! Me alegra que te haya gustado. Si, yo llevaba varios años también sin ir así que en cuanto abrieron las comunidades aproveche para acercarme. Para mi tiene uno de los mejores cascos antiguos de España.
Esa parte del museo fue inaugurada hace unos meses y es gratuita, lo único es que hay que reservar con antelación para entrar en el edificio, el patio es de libre acceso.

"EL ESPEJO DE GISELA" es una novela corta (150 páginas) basada en la leyenda sobre la conquista definitiva de Cáceres en el siglo XIII por el rey leonés Alfonso IX.

I've only watched Game of Thrones until Season 1 so I have to watch it until Season 8!
I'm really not a big Game of Thrones fan. I knew that several places in Spain had been used as a location to film some episodes, but I did not know that Caceres was a location as well until I was there.
Several medieval movies and series have been filmed in Caceres because it has a very well preserved old town.
I really like visiting these cities because I have the feeling of traveling to the past. That is why I also love many Japanese cities like Kyoto.
I think that street that you point out has never been modern, not even when it was built😆

Muy bonita Cáceres, me ha gustado mucho el video, cada rincón de la ciudad. Lo único que no me gustó fue algunas obras de arte moderno que hay diseminadas por la ciudad, para mi sobran. Pero por todo lo demás es una ciudad que me encantaría visitar.
Gracias, Habi Tours! A mi Cáceres también me gusta mucho, yo creo que que tiene uno de los mejores cascos antiguos de España. Estoy de acuerdo contigo, esas esculturas no pegan nada con el entorno, sobre todo la de la chatarra de coches. Afortunadamente creo que simplemente pertenecen a una exposición temporal y solo estarán poco tiempo. Te la recomiendo, además hay pueblos cercanos como. Trujillo o Plasencia que también están muy bien y que espero poder hacer recorridos en el futuro. Pasa un buen domingo y gracias por tu comentario. Es siempre un placer leerlo

Si un día te apetece ir al campo, la sierra de Gredos en Ávila tiene lugares preciosos con piscinas naturales como la de Piedralaves, y otros lugares como El Barco de Avila o Casillas.
Aunque toda España está llena de megalitos prehistóricos, son conocidos los dólmenes y menhires de Extremadura, está todo lleno y merece la pena darse un paseo para ir a verlos.
También están los berracos vetones (pueblo celta prerromano), los más conocidos son los toros de Guisando, pero hay muchos más por toda la zona que ocupaban los vetones. Si te gustan ese tipo de estatuas de las trubus peninsulares vale la pena buscarlos y echarles un vistazo. Además no conozco youtubers que los hayan ido a visitar, ni los dolmenes tampoco. Algunos están por la zona de los Berruecos, en Extremadura, que es preciosa. También vale la pena visitar el valle del Jerte en primavera porque está todo lleno de cerezos y cuando florecen son un espectáculo para ver desde la parte alta del valle.
Muchas gracias por tus recomendaciones, algunos de los lugares que mencionas ya los conozco y como dices son espectaculares. Afortunadamente en España tenemos muchos lugares maravillosos.
Respecto a los verracos que comentas, en mi recorrido por Ciudad Rodrigo puedes apreciar uno de ellos que tienen frente al castillo, aunque desconozco si es original o una réplica.

@@WalkingSpain es auténtico. No hay réplicas hasta donde yo sé. Lo que sí se ha hecho en no pocos casos es cambiarlos de sitio, como en el caso del verraco de Ciudad Rodrigo, lo han cambiado varias veces de sitio e incluso lo tiraron al río, donde estuvo un siglo y luego lo rescataron para ponerlo donde está.

@@WalkingSpain Chinchón, en Madrid, Consuegra, en Toledo, Siguenza y Pastrana en Guadalajara, Almagro o Villanueva de los Infantes en Ciudad Real.
Son lugares que no suelen visitar los youtubers y merecen mucho la pena.
Hay más, pero que resaltan sobre todo por su cultura y no se pueden ver sólo con imágenes, como Tomelloso en Ciudad Real, con sus típicos bombos y sus casas sobre bodegas excavadas en la piedra, ya que todas las casas hacían vino (aunque en realidad hay muchos pueblos en Castilla cuyas casas tienen cuevas debajo de las casas para fermentar el mosto y hacer vino, Tomelloso se lleva la palma).

El problema en España no es la falta de lugares hermosos que visitar sino todo lo contrario, encontrar tiempo para verlos todos 😄
