5 out of 5 stars on delivery. This man has the prefect amount of spunk. Not too much not too little. I praise the way he drew me back in with the, " Also, also..." this is great for a general over view. typically i found that local news people have a more accurate and detailed view of their area because they know the weather patterns better. Regardless, stay safe everyone and keep warm!
Local stations usually have high-resolution weather model software for their specific area, too, which adds quality and confidence.

I'm in the Cleveland, Ohio area so definitely looking forward to this storm (if only because my husband and I are both lucky enough to work from home; that is, as long as the power stays on, heh).

I liked how the reporter, as the maps/days moved, he kept saying "And then it gets worse!". Kinda wish I could be there to see this storm, but I'll stay here in sunny Phoenix.

Why is it that Accuweather are the only ones calling this blizzard where I live? literally every other weather source says low 50s and rain, no wind, no blizzard. This is very confusing.

Hubby is getting out the generator, stacking the firewood and I’m getting out our emergency lighting and cooking equipment. We’re ready. The worst part? I won’t get to see my kids for Christmas Eve as they live an hour north of me (we’re all in Michigan) and most certainly church services will be canceled. Stay safe everyone!

@@GG-vq6ro Yeah, I know. Everyone says to prepare, but with no fireplace, wood stove, or generator (can't use those in a condo), it's difficult to prepare for an extended power outage in sub-zero temperatures.
@@ForeverMPH Been through it in a condo, all you can do is cover yourself in blankets. A $25 butane stove to boil water / cook and some power banks to charge your phone is a good idea
@@ForeverMPH exactly. I'm in an apartment with electrical heating. We're not even allowed to use kerosene heaters in here. Landlord already told me that 😔

Try to find an alternative non electrical heating source incase the power goes out, also remember to get Co2 alarm and Crack a window if u have a petrol heater.

Pre Chrstimas. Someone was in a rush to get this video out! Seriously though, I’m not looking forward to those temperatures. I’m more worried about the cold than the snow. The arctic needs to keep its polar everything to itself!!! I hope all of the animals out there, especially any lost pets, will be okay. 😭
I have a plug in shelter I will put on covered porch. I also has storage bin filled with straw on my deck. It's something just in case.

I live in eastern lower Michigan. What is weird is next weeks Temps are supposed to be low 40s?? Strange weather
@Pat Dennis I'm western lower. We're going to get hammered with snow. Got just over 3ft over night with the storm that rolled through during Thanksgiving week. So I'm pretty excited for this snow. However the 40+ Temps nxt week are concerning. Hoping it doesn't stay that way. Jordan River going to bust the banks and flood if that happens. Magnetic field around the planet pretty weak right now.
Glad I moved to Florida 77 here now. I moved from Rochester NY and don't miss the snow
Bernie is great, always very animated. On TV, he moves his hands a lot, lol. I watch the AccuWeather TV every night, when everyone is asleep. Bernie is the best.
Prepare now folks...Here in Puget Sound at Sea level...(Friday Harbor)...We got 6 inches overnight.
Please check around your house if nothing else for any pets left outside, it could save their life.

I live in mid Ohio I did not prep for this storm thankfully. We didn't really get hit with this storm either. I keep waiting for major snow fall each year people panic over 3 inches of snow. I just don't understand.

When I bought my house 30 years ago I left the wood burner in. Added propane heat for hotwater and a heater and now have a minisplit to cool in the summer and heat in moderate weather always a backup and a full pantry. We went for 10 days without power in a flood and were watching satellite TV and relaxing with a small honda generator that kept our freezer chilled.
I just LOVE a good snowstorm, and this is the best Christmas present I could've imagined!
The web cam on Mt Washington is a must see.
They keep calling this a "blizzard" yet midwestern states included in this are only expected a dusting to a few inches at best. These dorks have no idea what it's going to do.

Hi from in Indiana I work in public safety and I am 2hrs South of Fort Wayne you all need to update your blizzard map because as of right now we are in a winter storm watch there's discussion about upgrading it to a blizzard warning Friday due to wins 50 to 65 mph

I encourage everybody that's watching this video to get gasoline for generators, make sure those generators work, make sure you have enough food, and a way to keep warm. I have a feeling this is going to have more impact and what we think. Do this right now, and I mean tonight.

@@daisyunderwood1002 I was born in 1974 so I don't remember that I do remember the big snow storm in 1997 is was thunderstorms during the night and a very big snow storm in the morning and we had thunder snow during that morning and the power was out for maybe a day or two but this blizzard is going to be bad keep safe be careful and don't forget get the winds are going to be bad as well

9 different weather channels with 9 different options on snow amounts here in Michigan, normally if they say 2 to 3” we get a foot or 6 to 12 we get a trace, can’t predict our snow amounts because of Great Lakes on three sides of state. Doesn’t matter 1” or 2 feet just another winter day lol

Living in Wisconsin, this is nothing new. We always get heavy wind gusts in winter plus temperatures in the negatives and a good amount of snow.

Central Maryland hasn't been able to get a decent snowstorm, let alone a white Christmas, in more years than I can remember.
Spokane had 20 inch's a month ago and school still went on also dose that have to do with the snow outside
