- Explore the underwater world of Raja Ampat in the Coral Triangle across four feature length 4K films, filmed over 30 years by underwater videographer Edi Frommenwiler. The Coral Triangle is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, hosting reefs and atolls that support abundant life, from the beautiful and charismatic, to the weird and wonderful. The series will be divided into the following episodes, with the fourth exploring Edi's experiences of diving in the region, and the threats he has witnessed this troubled paradise succumb to:
1 - The Coral Triangle
2 - Night on the Reef
3 - The Sandy Bottom
4 - A Troubled Paradise (or Beyond the Reef - name TBC)

It’s amazing how you’ve grown on this channel from a kid to an adult over the course of 10+ years! From a kid voice just having fun talking about animals to a well experienced professional narrator’s voice speaking on advanced topics! That’s incredibly inspiring Leo. Thank you so much! In truth, I still feel like that kid when I’m making these films, which is just a wonderful feeling. But I do sometimes look back and feel so happy to have stuck with it and kept on going. That means the world to me - I’ve gone all out for this project in the hopes of doing justice to Edi’s footage. I’ve taught myself professional colour balance for this, and I’m even creating a couple of original music pieces with my friends at University to contribute to the films’ soundtrack. So excited. 😁😁

I used to have major thalassophobia but after snorkeling in Thailand and Bali, my fear turned into curiousity and awe. Watching the fishes and the manta rays was so peaceful. I’m blessed to be in Southeast Asia, and would love to visit Raja Ampat someday as well. Looking forward to this series!
People are really fast to dismiss the ocean without understanding just how wonderful it's capable of being should you give it the respect to survive it. I'm glad this channel has been covering as much as it did and more because it helps people that share a love of it find each other and not feel so outcasted in their interests.

I’ve recently gone through a tough breakup after moving to sunny South America with my boyfriend, meaning I’m losing a lot of my new life and about to be moving back to our miserable, gloomy little island of a home country, a prospect which terrifies me and in recent times left me feeling down enough that the unthinkable became a possibility.
But then, I found you and your channel, and for the first time in so long I’ve felt that warm comfortable feeling in my chest again, every video is a trip to somewhere more peaceful and quiet where I don’t have to think contemplate, fight or question anything. Just peace.

I've been well, spending a lot of time out filming and photographing lately, got nearly 70gb of photos and videos this weekend 😅
@@redal-uk It’s a challenge, but it’s so much fun, but DEFINITELY time-consuming especially with uni on my plate too. I do have a habit of prioritising film-making over lectures though… 😅 That sounds incredible, it really looks beautiful up where you are. I’ll have to visit it someday! And blimey, that’s so much. I’d love to include any of that new footage in the film, if you’re keen to share it. 😊 Since our shared folder is set up in my Drive, there should be enough space, I think I have 110 GB free - feel free to fill it up!

I can say that Ras Muhammad National Park in Egypt is one of the best places to dive into the blue :V Reefs here are so rich in many aspects! Seeing every piece of rock being occupied by a growing coral and waters around crowded by fish cheers my heart and thats in contrast to some of the reefs nearby hotels in Egypt which due to more intense human activity are not that astonishing (unless you go deeper where typical tourists do not have acces to)
Man, watching your documentaries brings back my memories of watching blue planet with my dad and marveling at the wonders of the ocean. You have honestly, single-handedly, pretty much revived my forgotten love of the Ocean and the life that live underneath. Keep up the good work!
That was a masterful and very emotional trailer. A mix of awe, wonder and a touch of melancholia. Felt like a beautiful tribute but also a goodbye to those treasures of the earth. Eat your heart out BBC Earth! This is how you become intimate with the natural world.

since first time I watched one of your clips, I couldn't stop watching them. you became the next marine life storytelling legend.
I stumbled onto your channel by complete accident watching funny animal videos but it instantly won me over. It may sound weird but it feels like watching National Geographics when I was a kid, so fascinating, almost magical. I've never been a big fan of marine life, I was almost always either scared of or grossed out with deep sea creatures. But your videos made me change my perspective. The production quality, your calming voice, the scripting, the overall atmosphere - literally everything is so professional and high-level, it really feels like watching a world class nature documentary. And you're so young! You have a great future in marine biology for sure. Thank you for your hard work Leo 🤍
