Best Modern Rustic Art by far!!!!!! It seems that the Cohesion of the lines on the Perimeter force the viewer's eyes towards the middle where it is broken by the accent pieces which in all good sense do not make sense but they are by far the what captivates the viewer... Without the accent pieces, it is just a ho-hum wall hanging, they attend to mess one's mind by make one want to figure out what one is seeing and can not!!!!!!!!! Great decision !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job King Scott!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well thank you Stan. Yes, I knew it needed the accent pieces. Sometimes all it takes is a few accents to save the art from Hohumdum!!! Now, all there is left to do is think up a great name......I'll be working on it!!!
The cat caught my eye. Great tutorial, thank you. You have a great eye to see ahead into a project. I’m glad I found your channel. New subscriber here.
Thank you so much, Professor Scott! I very much appreciate your explanation of your art creation process, and how you make decisions as you proceed. This wall hanging is yet again, something new, and you never fail to inspire & motivate. I continue to learn much about this particular art genre by watching your videos. One more time: Thank you so very much!
Thanks for watching Paul :) I'm learning as I'm going along too, it seems like woodworking is a never ending learning experience. I think there's something that each project can teach and I try to figure things out along the way.
A truly lovely piece Scott, which would grace any wall! I like the use of just one type of wood, it ties the whole thing together. A great team effort, special thanks to "Me" for the camera work!
"Me" had a little trouble with the camera (on the iphone) overheating in the hot sun on this project. He had to make sure it was in the shade as much as possible and sometimes had to stop shooting to let it cool down but he did a great job anyway and got the shots we needed :)
Scott you're the best. I sometimes ask myself why does Scott wants to add more when the art piece already looks great and you prove me wrong and always come up with something even better.
Thanks Luis. Yea, I was looking at the artwork without the accents and I liked it but then I thought to myself that the three simple accents could add a lot to the piece. Even though they added a few hours to the project, I'm really glad I put them in there. I've always like the saying "less is more" and sometimes that's true, but in this case I think more is more :)
I was going to say the frame is the best part, I love it, but then the small pieces you added to the centre really lifted it to another level. You are very creative. ilona
Thanks. Yes, it took a few extra hours to add the three accent pieces but I really felt they were needed to make the whole piece work the way I wanted it to.
Please Scott, develop some pieces that are not rectangles but others shapes.... I thought at first the idea of the accent pieces were going to be on top of the center pieces and giving it the layer look the frame is two levels and the center would have two.....The clear Miniwax Polycrylic protective finish water base.... very clear but shiny......but here again a piece worth being on the wall in any home / office whether is it is rustic or very modern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scotty have you ever considered using garden pot pebbles and or beach glass for the occasional accent extras ? John Thailand PS as gordon ramsey would say, Good job !
I've used beach glass to accent driftwood pieces that I've built many years ago but haven't used any in a long time. I may do it again at some point but only if I feel like it'll really add to the piece.
I hope that you are able to sell your work. At this time, I see that 3 people didn't like your video. WTF, What's not to like, even if you don't like the end result, IMO you need to admire the fact that this person, took the time & energy to shot the video. I'm an OLD fart and I have made a lot of money getting snippets of ideas from many far afield sources. Everyone might take a moment and take that into account when you watch CZcams videos, you never know when some small bit of a video will trigger something that could lead to a great adventure or some monetary gain. OR both Keep an open mind :o)
I remember when I first started shooting videos and getting thumbs down I would wonder why. At this point I don't worry about thumbs down too much any more. I assume most of the people leaving the thumbs down probably don't shoot videos so they don't appreciate the effort that goes into making them. But yes, like you when I watch youtube videos on making things I usually find snippets here and there to get ideas from them. I think its well worth watching a 15 or 20 minute video for just a small idea or two.
Nice wall hanging. The sanded ageing wood left nice groves,to make the art special.
Скотт очень здорово получилось. Выкладывай по чаще свои видео.
I sure enjoyed watching this. The close up on the wood when all put together is incredible.
Thanks Dad. Glad you enjoyed it :)
We hadn’t seen this one yet, Ana enjoyed seeing the kitty walk across! Love. Your team of helpers!
Yes, the kitty knew the camera was on and stole the show. Sure do miss that little guy :)

Keep watching the same video, such great natural art, you"re amazing Scott.
Thanks Luis!
I agree about the 3 inside pieces. Your “eye” for aesthetics amazes me. You know just what to add. Love watching your artistic process.
Yes, I really felt like this piece needed an "eye" for aesthetics :)
So beautiful antique frame,,,,again thanks a lot sir on ur video,,, sure I do one of that.... Amazzzzzing
This is amazing.Very good skills. From nothing to very beautiful piece of art. Liked and Subscribed!

Love your haircut. You look 15 years younger. The Framed art came out wonderful. I love your additions to it and I love the bare wood. Great job.
Thanks :)

Scott красавчик!))
Que pasaria si en las esquinanas le pones unos soportes y lo separas del muro 4 pulgadas, asi como le pusistes alambres ,pero con tarugos
Good for headboard
Yes,, it would definitely work for that :)

Очень красиво! А какое дерево использовали?
What kind of gun is that you’re using to attach the wire to the back?
It's a Senco staple gun.
Your wire wheel looks like tan plastic. It is ?metal?
