This is a really helpful exposition, thank you!
I'm not so sure about the application that someone's marriage, for example, will be more fruitful because they abide in Christ. There are many people who despise Christ that have apparently fruitful marriages and many who apparently abide in Christ that have marriages disintegrating.
I suppose it depends what we mean by fruit. Someone who is poor and weak in this life may be very fruitful for the kingdom despite their life apparently falling apart.
