Finally beating this game in honor of my older brother who died in a car crash last year. He was a huge souls fan
Sorry for your loss
😢
Good luck man, my condolences
❤
“I’ll just drink this delicious black berry tea while they die of poison.” That got me lol. Also congrats on quitting smoking! Keep up the great work dude.
I like the fact you have J C Denton as your avatar :) props dude
Best way to kill the archers is by running up and should pushing them off
And it made me want to try blackberry tea!
Grats to quitting smoking and i agree about those archers they are a pain the ass!
Honestly, blackberry tea sounds pretty delicious. I never tried it but I might get me some.
5:40 “A Shinobi knows the difference between honor and victory”. Cowboy was way, way ahead all of us all this time.
"No Hesitation"
Sekiro !
Him : "so the arrows arent actually for sens fortress, they're actually for whats coming up next"
Me who ran out of arrows : "Hm"
How did you get more arrows?
@@muchiosgracias4 I didnt. I just parried the knights
@@foofyknottop6860 They were for the archers lol I don't know how to get more
@@muchiosgracias4 yea, but if you get close to them they pull out their swords. So you can parry. Or sometimes they will just fall off
Same
"I fully admit that this is an incredibly cheesy strat"
An incredibly cheesy strat in which I'll be using 👍
Ingenious right! I played with the bow a bit and always wondered why couldnt somebody just play the entire game with it
The problem is even if you are using that strat they are still a pain in the ass to deal with :/
Fax
Second only to toxic-ing the Super Anor Londo Brothers.
I shot over 100 arrows and still couldn't hit the guy on the right
I played dark souls 3 first so seeing anor londo when it was 'whole' is like being a tourist
Václav Hartinger frfr
Innit
me too =)
Funny thing is when you play online and you get notes where the Anor Londo Bonfire is in DS3
Glad I'm not the only one 👍
Can we cheer this guy on for keeping us entertained by talking the entire time the Londo Archers were poisoned? 😂
If cowboy has taught me anything, it's what a buttress is.
I thought it was a mistress with a huge ass.
Lol works well as a verb as well. To buttress or strengthen and support.
It's technically a flying buttress
I don’t understand why the community has to get mad about silly stuff like cheesing the archers. The game gives you tools to handle things they way YOU want to. It’s not a written rule if the game didn’t want you to have options they would have made a way for you not to be able to do that
Kitten Sin agreed but I think he's mostly just saying that because getting screwed by those archers is an experience ALL new DkS players should have. That being said, fuck those archers. I hope they go to hell and die.
Gan0n007 fair enough I guess it’s a solid thought I didn’t think of
Kitten Sin I agree, the greatest thing about dark souls is the freedom of choice it gives its players, cheese or no cheese.
The worst are the ones who complain about summoning as if summons were some kind of hacking or something.
DrenaTheTrueWoman or the assume you’re ganking bit when you are honestly just doing co op lol. I know personally I’ve invaded groups plenty of times and you can tell when it’s a gank vs a co op group
Never thought I’d see the day someone cheeses the archers, I love you. Lol
I just got really lucky and the Archer on the right just walked off the edge. I took that as a gift from God and ran to get to that Bonfire.
Rubberduck645 i just Two handed tarkus greatshield and Run to that Archer and kept forceing through him and after a moment he falled from the edge and Thats a way to spare Souls
@@MrRubberduck645 i died twice with 15 humanities and was able to recover them everytime and finally get through
Just take off you armour and and run ( trust me it works )
That titanite demon humbled him mad quick. It's crazy that he's not even attempting to block attacks.
i noticed that too. it looks like how my first fight against one went tbh. idk if anyone else has said it here, but it makes more sense to dodge left when they swing at you or else you get caught on the back end of their catchpole - like what kept happening to cowboy here.
@@theexitisthisway6082 Also happens while dodging, or maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't think so
“If you have no regard for fashion... slap on the [Havel] gear, be on your way.”
**Sad rock noises**
Is it cheesing, or is it playing smarter not harder?
I say the second.
Big Boner i think if you're fucking cheese youre technically fondue-ing it
Look. When you put Rotten Pine Resin on a Large Club while invading, I say that from experience, that's cheesing. When you use poison to make one of the hardest non-boss parts of the game ridiculously easy, that's, as you said, playing smart.
I'm with ya. If you can make a part of the game (NOT PvP WISE) easier, you fucking do it. This isn't the Call of Dooty campaign.
whatever turns u on
For those of you that did not buy poison arrows for any reason (was bored to collect enough souls because they are kinda expensive) i found that this works vvvvvery well: equip a heavy shield like the black iron shield, make sure you can at least midroll (you can drop your weapon and some armor if needed, or use havel's ring) and sprint past all the enemies until you reach the "bridge that leads to the mean arrow knights", then rush up the whole bridge and just before you reach the ledge that the knight to your right is standing, raise the shield and sprint towards him (the knight to the right). When you reach him, lock onto him with your shield raised and make sure to stay to the tight corner near him and press yourself to the wall. Eventually, if you keep pushindyourself to the wall while locked onto the knight, he will fall over trying to hit you like the dumb ai he is. After that, forget the other knight and make it past the ledge.
Thanks 🙏
4 years later still the best walkthroughs on the planet shout-out cowboy hope u doing well
Anor Londo is one of the most mesmerizing and gorgeous levels ever made
That titanite demon used to be an adventurer then he took an arrow to the knee
it's a line from skyrim
Xing Xing no shit
Titanite demons can have marriage?
No, you're thinking of andre, the blacksmith.
Apollyon Katastrefia r/wooooosh
Love this series but that "I don't care if it's cheesy, this is bullshit." moment made me subscribe.
lmfao been watching episode one. i just dealt with the archers the hard way and finished watching this episode, but i admit when he said that i scrolled down and finally subbed
if it's in the game, it's legal. I never play the game the way which developers want me to play
Couldn't agree more. Always loved soulsborne games but this is one of the few instances that I think they went past hard/unforgiving but fair, and lost the fair part into cheesy bullshit lol.
Quick tip: If you're having a lot of trouble against the titanite demon, try a tower shield and block his moves.
Your walkthrough got me to buy this game in 2019!!!
I'm trying to play this game as blind as possible, but his ds3 guide was amazing and I honestly copied him strongly by step. Pausing when its safe watching a little then playing exactly like he did. Guys a legend
@@Dawid-zf6sn me too
@@Dawid-zf6sn I am doing the same thing with ds1 right now... It's more fun this way, I don't have to be worried about where to go or what to do and be depressed, I can just do what he did and enjoy the game.
@@23_srinjoy79 I kinda enjoy just finding out for myself without looking at the walkthrough. I was watching for a while in my first playthrough before now but I like it better this way. I can just do what I want. Not like this way isn't valid, I just like having as little help as possible.
me too
Gotta love how he was kindly talking and sipping the tea while archers were slowly dying 😆
You could go to the catacombs before sens fortress and get the skull lantern from killing the necromancers. You get one when patches kicks you over the ledge in tomb of the giants. Then visit snuggly the crow drop him the skull lantern and you get the fog ring which completely trivializes the archers since they won’t see you until your close enough to knock them off.
You can also get fog ring by killing people for the forest protectors. I think after you kill 3 people but I'm not sure.
good tip thanks!
Scott S no problem I hope it helps.
I think that I was the only one that do that.
Heh, basically my strategy, except I get the fog ring from the forest covenant.
This is the first dark souls game I've played, and I've been watching your videos along side. And man, I just gotta say, when you poisoned those archers and sat back with your tea, I thought that was genius and I love your mind set. You're awesome, and I raise my glass of tea with you, cheers!
Honestly you helped me so much, cowboy. Thank you. I have been stuck on the 2 Londo archers you poisoned first in this video for 3 days!!!!! I was literalyl about to give up on the game until i watched your video. Thank you.
YAY YOU STOPPED SMOKING!!!
The random loss of health was from the spirits of the archers you just cheesed 😉
Thanks again for these videos!
I died more times to the archers than any other boss, excluding the Bed of Chaos
Capra is the one so far I've died the most to
@@ingmarfris8175 me who tossed bombs at the other side lol 😂
@@aarondavis8784 I tried but I couldn't get the angle right and I just gave up.
@@ingmarfris8175 capra is easy, just run to the ladder and kill the dogs
Here I am, regretting not buying those fucking poison arrows.
Alternative method for the archers: sprint up to the archer on the right with your shield up. When he hits your shield he'll be recoiled and will fall after a few swings. The archer on the left cant hit you from where he stands. Jolly cooperation
I do this EVERYTIME holding the biggest shield ever get myself inside the left part of the book where he is , sit and wait he stab stab staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa , but seeing this I low-key wanna poison em watch em die and then walk that entire part like a boss
This does not work
@@twall4381 It does, you need a shield with higher gaurd boost or whatever it's called
@@procracksmoker7 i tried and got knocked off so i just used light attacks with a halberd
@@twall4381 halberd, nice
I've been following you since you did a let's play of dark souls 3, I consider you the best guide to souls games because you have a no bullshit attitude and get straight to it, love your guides they're so detailed and please don't ever stop
If anyone is watching this walk through 4 years later, I found that for the titinite deamons if u stay behind their left arm (your right if facing them) by their stumpy missing leg, they can not hit you
THANKYOU bro
@@films2themax582 you just made my day knowing my random comment helped someone!
I love describing the silver knights. "Dealing with these assholes."
And I think poison arrows are perfectly legitimate. This game is for people to discover on their own, and if they think to use the arrows to get through, then more power to them!
Honestly what an absolute legend. This mans just drank tea and it was the best thing I’ve seen in a while
I recently finnished Sekiro second time, decided to tackle souls series after that, and I haven´t played ds1 since 2013, because I thought it was hard as shit, but you got me all the way to anor londo now, so thank you for this series, advice and all that, even if this comes a bit late!
2 years late, but whatever, which one was the hardest: Sekiro or DS1?
@@michaelbulls5872 DS1, I’ve always felt that the controls are stiff at times for some reason, where as in Sekiro it felt like I was floating in the air while fighting bosses most of the time. Though it might be that Sekiro is generally a faster paced game compared to DS1. So I would say DS1 was harder for me
@@wannabepoet9647 Aha, that's refreshing to read. I thought that Sekiro was the hardest game they made, so maybe I can face the seemingly insurmountable challenge then anyways! :D But I kinda get what you mean, I played Bloodborne first and even then it takes a while to get used to DS1.
@@michaelbulls5872 sekiro is definitely harder than ds1
Cheese or be cheesed
Cowboy, I'm 60 years old and thought the Dark Souls series was beyond me. My twitch-reflex heyday was coin-op Galaga in 1980. But your walkthrough gave me hope, and sure enough I learned the way to read timings of mobs and bosses and managed to defeat Sif in a few hours, with your help. Then we came to this. I specifically took the Gargoyle-Uber back to Sen's Funhouse and then to the Old Creepy Lady to buy 30 poisoned arrows, and then came back to the archers with 150 normal and 30 poisoned. I could not get ONE hit with a normal arrow for damage. Not one. Wasted a couple poisoneds. So I had to think of something else. Inspiration came in my spells. I wanted to play a Battlemage, so my INT was already 14 and I had a nice but small selection of spells. Maybe I could ninja-style up to the archers and take them out up close and personal. So I loaded up Hidden Body and Chameleon (turning into a mobile vase is hilarious), and remembered my Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and set out to see what would happen. I used the Ring of Steel Protection (and RFaP, which never comes off) to battle to the ledge beyond the wrought-iron railed angled passage. Then on went the Silence ring and we made ourselves Hidden, then cruised like vapor up to the rightmost archer, who only caught on when it was far too late and perished. Then another application of Hidden, and the leftmost was dispatched. I was thrilled to cheese these bastards in a completely different way!!! So I started to type this message the first time to you... and promptly fell off the ledge to my death. Thanks for assuring someone past his prime that this game is still accessible if you know the intricacies. This game is totally worth it.
I use these videos to figure out if I missed anything after clearing an area. I genuinely love the narration. Mans is a legend
Whoever said too much Cowboy was a bad thing lol. You're awesome Cowboy keep it up!
7:17 "Mr. Stark... I don't feel so good."
"Go in there and beast mode it like the pimp you are".
Absolute gold 😅
This guide has helped me so much. This is the first ever souls game I've played and I find these to be very informational so thank you for the content!
“I’m gonna sit here drinking my blackberry tea while they die of poison”
- FightinCowboy
Love the poisoning of the archers, hilarious stuff man 😅😅😅
Fighting cowboy got me through blight town and now I am back to him again what a legend
These have been a huge help. Since I love to blood-borne so much I wanted to see what Dark Souls was about and I can't say I like the series much but these tutorials are helping me a lot
When you think about it it makes perfect sense that there’s so many mimics in Anor Londo seeing as how everything there is an illusion. They too are just an illusion of a treasure chest
I used all my poison arrows in the fortress... F these damn archers
Update: I ended up going back for poison arrows... with the shortcut in the fortress it wasn't that bad
When you made this I was using your ds3 walk-through still helping me out 3 years later thank you bro 👊
this is why i love cowboy he keeps all of us entertained while showing us the way to the ending i love this man
This cheese strategy for the archers is good... but I think they may have changed something in a patch, because the railings aren’t protecting me while I try to mark them.
Game is like “I know what you’re doing... not allowed!”
It must be patched. The cheese doesn't work anymore ☹️ I've died 4 times trying to get past these archers. I'm gonna take a break and try again later.
Palmeras06, hope you made it past. I cheesed those archers last night with poison arrows. Definitely hard, I kept getting knocked off and lost 14 humanity and a few thousand souls.... but possible. I did the left one first then the right though
This playthrough has been incredibly helpful, however I wasn’t fortunate enough to get the Black Knight Greatsword, so I am now at a point where it seems like my skill is stagnating while you’re getting better due to your use of that weapon. I really wish you would have used the Claymore+10 continuously.
Plenty of other weapons that can match it, I’m sure you found a few friend
@@bladegames2rose813 Nah bro, I was just mad. I beat the game with Claymore. My next playthrough I got Black Knight Halberd though, and that was WOW. Now it’s 3 years later and i’ve beat the game numerous times. So interesting seeing where I was at 3 years ago when I first picked up the game.
I felt this way. But to anybody who still feels this way, we got the dragon king great axe from the Gaping Dragons tail in the depths videos. I am using that instead of the claymore.
I got the black knight sword and black knight great sword I really wanted the Halbred and shield too
I used the zweihander as a substitute for the black knight greatsword since I didn't get it and it's pretty much the same.
Been through the Anor Londo archers a dozen times--never knew I could snipe them like that!!! EPIC!
I’ve played for a while already all 3 games and I never thought of most of the stuff he does and literally it’s right there in ya face ! And to top it off I never have the same build as any of his walkthroughs
I’m surprised so many people in the comments never thought of poisoning the archers
They're just mad because we found the easy way out and they didn't think of it and had to suffer for it.
I never did, will defo try this if steam will actually install it
DBJ I hurt merchant so I can’t get any
@@EChere Idk if you figured this out yet and it's an old comment, but you can go to the tower where you beat the gargoyles and rang the first bell and on the first floor there is an NPC that you can pay I think 20,000 souls to and he'll absolve your sins. This will make any aggressive NPCs that you accidentally attacked reset to being non-aggressive.
DangerDan Seriously!?! It would be so much easier if I done that but I already beat the game anyway thanks for the tips
I call estus Cool Juice and just talk about cool juice when fighting.
It’s my solution to coping with the stress of dark souls.
Gatsmen how is this not a thing?? I will be calling it cool juice from here on out
@@eduardopalmerin9520 aye aye.. Heres to cool Juice
I'm playing Dark Souls now for the first time and all i can say is your walkthrough has helped me a lot..all cheese strats are smart strats..
I really like this guy is not just his toturial are really helpful but he is also smart in dealing with hard situations in a smart funny way
"... and they not not have moss to get rid of it, do you know how obnoxious that is?" You know what's really obnoxious? Large Club with Rotten Pine Resin. Once I invaded a chugger who got through his 20 Estus before dying. He gobbled down over 15 Purple Moss Clump and *still* died of poison when he tried to run away and pop a Humanity.
You're one of the best at this, and we all appreciate it!
But HOLY SHIT, I wish you'd made a little bigger deal about getting poison arrows. I must've missed you mention them during the first watch, and didn't get some until I saw you use them in Sen's. Now that I'm at the archers, I have none and Christ, it's a long way back to a merchant that sells them! I know it's on me, but it's soooo farrrr hahaha. Thanks for the best walkthroughs in the game, of the game.
Terrific opening summary. Told me everything I needed to know, thanks so much!
Playing this game again, solo and offline while using this as a step by step guide. I am bossing this game now. Thx FC
Your my favorite You Tuber man keep up the good work, shits funny as hell.
Ended up beating the Titanite Demon with pyromancy. My health bar was practically empty. That guy was ROUGH.
Yeah my weapons do nothing against him
Im watching your walkthough after completing a game. Im so proud of myself that i did not in fact die to those archers even once while proceeding this location without knowing anything.
Just got to Anor Londo recently. Very impressed by how massive it is.
if u wear the ring of fog the archers will b easier to poison
Gratz on quit smoking. I'm on 8+ months and I feel great!
Ive been following this tutorial almost perfect besides the stats and when I reached this point I truly felt like I was a god tier player for not falling off on my first try and walking up to each one after wasting 200+ arrows and lightning spearing them to death, this walkthrough surely has made me a great player and I'm thankful
Yep the arrows don’t work in 2022
Love your stuff bro...ill be watching and playing along with all your walkthroughs
I just finished anor Londo.
Yeah I came here to see any advice for the archers. It works great. They cheese way more than us so they deserve it.
Funny thing I just returned to watch the whole video to see if I missed anything and I laughed when you've said "till the die go pee or smoke" cause it was exactly what I did lol.

The Anor Lando archers segment just earned my sub. That was fucking hilarious
Thank you for your walkthrough of this game. I am currently in Anor Londo, it truly feels like I haven't progressed as a player. This area is fucking insane.
If you don’t have poison arrows for archers, run fast to the right archer. The left won’t continue to attack. Once the right pulls out the sword scoot back. Sometimes the right archer will fall to his death. If not then it was a 3 hit kill when I went head to head

3:40 right there where you were standing Xcelos978 Invaded me and brother, we didn't even know there was archers, we only cared about our pvp swords and got ready for the fight, Mr.Xcelos as soon as the intro frames finished, that red phantom ninja ignored us completely and ran!! ... ran all the way up and then dodged the right knight and went behind him and disappeared
he did it in such a smooth way that i for a sec thought Xcelos was an NPC showing us how to do it
so we did the same we charged, my brother attacked the left one, and i went for the right one, kicked the knight down and there he was,
Mr.Xcelos casting some sonic push bullshit ^^ ....
lost my humanity, me and my brother got separated lool
