AM32 ESC instead of BLHeli_32? Years ago, BLHeli was a novelty, and you had to flash it manually over previous firmware. Let's take a look at a new, open-source AM32 ECS firmware created by AlkaMotors. Does it even work?

I would like to see more of this. I like open source projects.
Please make a video about how to flash to AM32.
I'm also interested
Motors feeling smoother because of erpm related PWM instead of stick related like in blheli. In blheli you need at least 1.8%-2% throttle applied in order to make the motors spin. With am32 they spin at .1% already.
Oh, I am so hyped about this topic! Love to see more about this! Real good video Pavel!
This is very relevant now that blheli is dead! Thank you for all you do for the community!
Exactly I just bought my first am32 stack, the skystars f7 mini I at least have a bl32 f7 fully updated so I'm lucky, it's already got some rust on it though 😢
Pretty interesting, Pawel!!! 😃
Great to see new players in the market! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I agree, competition is important. Happy flying. 🤓
Good job to you Sir!
Interesting Pawel want to hear more 🥳 🇸🇪
Very interesting project. I never really enjoyed how BLHeli controls the Motors, like Kiss much more. If this is more like Kiss but on open Hardware, that would be cool.
I think its a great start. Open source will accelerate the development, at time of posting this comment, there has already been 24 forks of the repository. I can see this in the near future being a real alternative to the closed source blhele32.
Sounds interesting! Will you make a follow up video with blheli with similar motor timing?
You are welcome!!!
While I was watching the introduction I was wondering "what can be better about ESC firmware"? And you kind of answered that question after the flight - power efficiency. I hope you get the time to dig deeper about extended flight time on your Pirx, maybe compare to your previous setup? You got me really curious.
Hope they make hglrc or mamba target!!!
Can't wait to 3d with am32
We have hglrc targets
@@hugochiang1072 really okay i have to check!!! 2020! size too?!
Hi Pawel. Are you using AM32 currently? is it safe to use daily? I don't want to burn my only 4in1. Thanks.
Yes, I have AM32 in my fav. 3" quad. Works like a charm
Anything new about the AM32?
He only rolls to the left, and makes mostly left-hand turns
when is 2.6 coming :)
👍👀🇭🇷
curious to know you setting on the AM32 .
Im gonna try:
Bi directionnal activate
Timing advanced 22.5
motor kv 20 (wondering if i should put 1800kv here?)
motors poles (2207 motors so 14 magnets...??)
startup power 50
PW frequency 48
what do you think? Not so many option to configure
I would try it with stock startup power and leave variable Pwm on.
BLheli32 Takko32 escs on 6 inch badger quad I'm getting bad frames in BLheli32 config on each esc no matter what esc protocol I use. What's causing this.
too long cables, too much electrical noise in the setup, poor soldering. Something around those areas
@@FPVUniversity Thank you for replying! So having any bad frames in BLheli32 config is not good at all?
@@FPVUniversity it's the AIO Kakutef7 HDV board. Not sure if that's just the problem
What news about this now ?
I bought skystar 20x20 am32 and this is not smooth !!! 🤣
Jaka wg pana jest najlepsza aparatura do dronów?
zależy od budżetu i oczekiwań. Nie ma jednej odpowiedzi

Isn't a kiss a competition to BLHeli?
kiss is very far from open source and tightly related to their hardware
@@FPVUniversity yeah, from that perspective you are right
It only supports like 3 models of ESCs right now, lol
Most _32 designs are supported by one of the targets. More names will be added!
looking forward to it! Also, please make a wiki page on flashing bootloader
@@FPVUniversity Same here, really excited to see more innovations in this area. Especially more diagnosis features
