The less I feel I need to know the more present I am.
Even though Suzanne and other non-duality speakers consistently share that there's nothing to get, I still find myself anticipating an 'aha' moment. It's been like this for over 8 years now so I totally get what the first lady was sharing.
That's the thing though. It is not you that is anticipating anything. That's just happening. Just observe the one that is anticipating, it is not a problem and it is not you. Don't think that the anticipating one is a problem. If anything, it is kind of cute and endearing.

This is about feeling stuff we don’t want to feel, so an aha moment is still based upon the idea that one day you won’t have to feel what you don’t want to feel! Imagine telling a child don’t worry child one day you won’t have to be sad or angry or afraid! This is the message of non duality which I think it struggles to convey across

Angelo repeatedly states in videos and retreats and has an entire chp in his book about trusting your own intuition rather than any teacher-including him-which I really respect. If his “flavor” of pointing is not yours, that’s perfectly fine. But for many of us, profound shifts have happened when applying his pointings. Im very grateful for this, and I also found Suzanne via his repeated endorsement of her. It is really heroic for anyone who is realized to attempt speaking about that which cannot be corralled w words. I’m grateful for every single teacher, book, video along the way.
Generally, my sense is that it is wise to not mention any teacher by name- just “pick a different flavor” and be grateful for whatever was transmitted along the way. ❤

I have been a devoted and deeply grateful follower of Angelos for years. And I have expressed this many times in response To his CZcams clips.
That said, I am honestly troubled by the comments in this thread.
Are we honestly saying now, in a field that’s dedicated to the expression and exploration of truth, that it’s inappropriate for someone following a spiritual teacher to express confusion, or even concern about what that person is teaching? Really?
I found both Marcy and Suzanne’s expression of their experience to be respectful, humble, and wise.
And I would suggest that it’s also “heroic“ to dare to challenge and share a different perspective on the work of a teacher who is as universally loved and respected as Angelo.
So, even as I continue to love and admire Angelo, I have great respect for the integrity and the courage of these two women to speak their truth. And, I would suggest that there is far more value in considering what might be true in their expression than there is to try to get them to keep from saying it.

I just said I like both of them and felt the original comment was highlighting that some people resonate with Angelos style but it's not going to be for everyone. I watched your interview with him and it was really powerful, I hope things are going well for you and maybe if he interviews you again you can share how life is now 😊
I have been searching for a new teacher for so long that I had given up. But when I saw your video titles, I knew this was the type of teaching I’ve been seeking. Many of those titles describe what I have been experiencing. It’s been frustrating and lonely trying to sort this experience out.
Your story is similar to mine. I’ve been seeking answers since I was a child. The need for answers has always been insatiable. I was raised christian but rejected it at a young age in favor of logic and science. As an adult, I even became a scientist for many years, thinking I’d find answers at the cutting edge of research, and when I didn’t, I left my career and moved on to new age circles, yoga, the dao. I was like you, trying on other people’s answers like they were clothes. Only none of them fit. I stopped looking outside myself for answers a few years ago and began to search inward. This is the way. My experience has led me to conclusions similar to yours.
I’m 40, and just the other day I realized some assign me less value for having jobs, but not a career. Yet, few know that it’s been this - this seeking of truth - that has been my life’s work thus far. Nothing else has ever mattered anywhere near as much to me than this.

I will suggest you to watch some of the videos of swami sarvapriyananda on non dualism , he is very different from any other teacher, i had the same experience as you, but he was the one, i or most people would relate with.
His way of explaining things is the best ( in my opinion )
He makes everything so simple to understand with 10 different examples ( 10 different size clothes )
So you can choose which fits you the best.

“Not needing to hide the messiness” ~ Today I just woke up in a funk; I didn’t think about it, but I suddenly felt Angry and YELLED “There’s nothing wrong with me! I’m not guilty!” It just came out of Nowhere and there was quiet clarity. Funny 😏
28:26 Simone, that was an awesome description of this weird liminal space. When it’s clear there’s no need to go do anything to “feel better” it’s obviously about being instead of doing but then doing doesn’t really happen, and there’s no distraction from emotions!
It feels like it’s tricky to try to find the balance between intuitive action and surrender. It feels risky and vulnerable. Like there’s still this sense of grabbing at the wheel and then immediately realizing “oh I’m not driving and I can’t see where I’m going”.
This is a great discussion. For me when I started this journey, spiritual leaders that sounded knowing really spoke to the ‘knowing me’ and one of them was Angelo. But as the journey progressed not everything resonated but I wouldn’t have started this journey without the ‘leaders’ Suzanne included and for them I’ll always be grateful :)

For myself, it seems like I Am doing what’s meant to be happening, time to just be sitting, but doubt, judgement and guilt about it arise, and the uncomfortable sensations. Everyone is different, but I just notice “it’s just what’s happening”. It’s the mental commentary that feels uncomfortable, but that’s just happening, too. We really Don’t have any control 😊 The body will do what it needs to do when it needs to do it 👍

All truths are found in the nothingness of the mind. Nobody owns truth, anyone can find any truth. It's not hiding, it's not going anywhere, truth is a big ocean or pile just sitting there for whoever see's it. Whether you see it or not, is still ultimately pointless. You go, oh....that's a truth huh...well okay, now what? Can't do anything with that, can't change it, can't effect or destroy truth. All that happens was a realization. Then you move on to the next pointless truth lol.

This is so wonderful. And timely for me, as I had recently found a new voice with great pointers and a similar energetic sense of knowingness as Angelo, and the me feels excited to be getting something "more" out of that engagement. And that whole experience -- from discovery to resonance to thinking I need to hear more to efforting and trying to see what is being pointed at and feeling like there is a knowing there that isn't here -- all of that, is just a recapitulation of conditioning that you so very beautifully described: "this is how it was when I was born. It was just neutral everywhere; it was all equal and even everywhere, but over time I gave my power to everyone," and "the sense that someone else knows something that I don't know," and the seeking answers from others to create a greater sense of security internally. And... it feels lawful, as Angelo says, to engage eagerly, and at some point notice the familiar pattern, and step back, and see through the conditioning driving the cycle.
I really do just melt into your description of "neutral everywhere, all equal and even" -- so much spacious beingness unlocked when what is is experienced without the layers of thoughts....

Life was meant or designed to be mysterious and to be "figured out". Like going through a maze or playing a game for the ultimate prize. If it were not that way, we would all be bored out of our minds and want to check out as soon as we were born, I believe. We all signed up for this.
Not so much, life is just an experience for the mild amusement of Fate/Reality itself. Same purpose as a dream, brief mild amusement, nothing more, nothing less.
Not everyone likes puzzles or figuring things out, some are opposite so this isn't right.
@@ItApproaches That's a rather subdued and mild way of putting it. Almost as if you're afraid of shining too brightly despite all outward appearances. But I get it that many go through life in an unexcited manner while others view life like an adventure as they seek to indulge in all of the thrills and joys and the emotional roller coasters it provides. Neither approach is wrong or incorrect. It just is. .

Dear Marcy, From what you said it seems you misunderstood what Angelo was pointing to. Angelo is sharing from his direct experiencing of his awakening process.
Awakening is seeing there is No personal identity... to see through the "I". As Angelo and almost all non duality teachers/speakers will tell you "our minds can never understand or get this".
I recommend, if strongly wanting to listen to someone, check out Michael A. Singer. One of the main things he speaks about is our need to Relax. There needs to be a relaxing of the grasping for knowing, for answers, for awakening. This Relaxation is a key to true surrender. This and going within to what is simply here under our thoughts, in our own silence. It's not answers we need, it's dropping the desire and just being. Great showing up for yourself. Wishing you the best, be gentle and kind to yourself as much as possible. Blessings 💞🙏

Your words and your message sound kind, but are you sure there isn’t an element of dismissal beneath the apparent kindness?
To be a bit more specific:
What I notice in Suzanne’s skillful and very tender response is that she does not deny or invalidate Marcy‘s experience. In fact, she encourages her to trust and enter into it more deeply.
By contrast, you suggest that Marcy has “misunderstood“ and steer her toward a different, spiritual teacher, when she has already said in this session that she is “constipated“ with spiritual teachings.
That’s what I mean by a subtle form of dismissal. Suzanne‘s approach calmed and relaxed her deeply. I could certainly be wrong here, but it appears that what you are suggesting is yet another way for her to mistrust, and even deny her own experience.

I heard Marcy's confusion over what she thought she heard Angelo said about the I and was merely pointing out that what she was saying she heard was a misunderstanding of his sharing. Not dismissing anything. I completely support and celebrate all beings inquiring within and finding their own Truth through direct experience. And If listening to pointers helps in this inquiry was supporting her not necessarily dismissing Angelo's pointers just because there is a misunderstanding.
I agree Suzanne is skillful and tender and a reason I appreciate and listen to her pointers.
I appreciate your sensitivity and may we all appreciate and support one another in awakening from our separation and duality.

I'm only at the beginning of the video (very slow internet connection) yet I see Marcie in these few seconds as if I already know her, her conflicts, her life's-preferences and also her sincerity and dedication. Thank you.
This is the second video of yours, Suzanne non-duality, which I'll have watched. I found something you said at the graveyard disturbing. "...had not enough to meet our needs and naturally that lack makes it difficult to let it go...", or something of the sort. I and many I know have long histories of unfulfilled or barely fulfilled needs: (here a long list of conditions). All these people are either involved in finding/discovering/searching for joy regardless of these physically limiting conditions and none necessarily prevent or obviate joy. You might as well have stated the opposite - equally untrue, I feel. My lack of wings doesn't stop me from happiness or force me to want/need to fly.
My son wants financial security. I encourage him to find the joy in his life. Being joyful is of great value especially if one is financially secure but also if not. Bitterly pursuing a goal in life cannot left alone become joyful, for one is practising being bitter.

The wisdom voice is the one that's inside you. Human self has become so conditioned that we forgot how to hear. The "authorities" (all of them) are just temporary expediencies to help clear away some of the larger blocks of confusion; to help reconstitute a certain inner orientation. Yet, once the listening has been reestablished, the need for books, teachers, organizations and authorities is ended.
A sense of unworthiness is just a thought. Life, what you are, cannot be unworthy! That would make no sense. Unworthy to what, for whom? It just is, perfectly as it is.
No disrespect whatsoever, but I have a similar experience Sometimes when listening to “said” teacher. I just Know when I “can’t” listen to that, and it’s been mostly a No for some time. It can have a tendency to create doubt or confusion, just don’t want to go there. Keep it simple 😊

I understand what you and Marcy mean. I think part of it is the difference between the masculine and feminine approach. I find men more have the tendency to mentally break everything down and be focused on disecting all the different stages and practices. It gets tiring and confusing...

The first 6 minutes of this video are priceless, brilliant. The ego and thinking trying to get it, figure this out, desperate! And the stark contrast to Suzanne's responses and the clarity and rest on one hand and anxiety and struggle on the other hand. It's hysterical, poignant. Love it. My thoughts try this too, but when it is seen that is all just crazy mind talking, stillness can be sunk into. Unnecessary thinking and past are becoming more annoying and a burden here. The joke is up. Perhaps the ego comes back and jumps in to some body-minds that have had clarity? If there is a slight whiff of self-satisfaction or self-righteousness in a body-mind, I suspect ego could be at play. Wouldn't sound humbleness be a sign of a more complete letting go/surrender? There are no spiritual authorities, the only authority about your spiritual experiences is you.
Your truth needs to be found, found by the seeker, and will never be delivered to your doorstep, it is all about finding out by experience not about believing.
Other people can shine a light, but you have to do the steps on your very own path.
Rest in the truth that the guru is within and will guide you to the highest truth.
Angelo’s knowing comes from knowing what’s in the way of realization not what the right way is or whats the truth of reality. He repeatedly states this over and over. These conclusions about him are incorrect and are projections of a misunderstanding mind

There is no paradox to those who know their path. I see fear. Two sides of the coin. Do thy will or Deny thyself. The strength is not within ones self to resolve. One who takes it on cannot possibly pass without delusion. Our lives need pillars of strength in our weakest moments. No human can fill that void in perpetuity. In all meekness. In all, be humbled. One can be blessed they were not born into dire circumstances. I hope the sheep be not devoured by the wolf. What you don't believe is possible may be possible. This state of mind I feel is "luke warm". Neither for nor against.

Ah yes, paradox's...love those. Reality is full of them. I always find a new paradox and chuckle, they're cheeky. Early on you go what! That can't be, that contradicts.....and yet it's the truth. Eventually you spot more and they don't bother you, you're just like well, I'm not surprised, there is an infinite amount of paradox's in reality. As reality is perfectly imperfect. That unpleasant feeling is the death of ego. It's suffocation, you are going against the grain, ego is screaming and doing all it can to pull you back towards the bullshit. As for her saying "I want to be dead" well that's a key point right there, in my own journey which was a life time ago, I hit the point of saying out loud, "This feels like it's going to kill me, but if that's the case, SO BE IT, but before it does I will figure out just what the fuck is going on!" People don't realize it doesn't go life then death, it's the other way around, you gotta die, before you can live. Gotta kill that ego, that self, that human character or identity. That suffering is good, it's the radiation that is truth destroying the toxic ego inside. Much like how chemo is used to destroy cancer cells, this suffering is the radiation that destroys the layers of ego. You don't like the suffering due to the conditioning of "waaa suffering is bad" says who??? EGO! Ego doesn't want you to go towards the exit door, that kills the ego. That pain is not a bad thing. Eventually it will end as there is no more layers of ego to burn away. The "older" the person is who goes through this process the longer it takes as they have a thicker more layered ego, like how it's easier to uproot a tree that's only a few years old, but near impossible to uproot a great red oak. Just gotta realize the moment where that unpleasant feeing is gone, is already on the way. Will power is the key to the waking up process. An absolute will power, ego will do all it can to get you to give up, turn back around and run to the safety of belief and untruth, but you must spit in ego's face, reject it at all costs. Anything short of that and the process will never end, you will keep adding more onto the pile to be burned and you will get stuck in a loop. Gotta let the fire burn out, don't be scared of the cold without the fire.

When you say spiritual authorities don't know anything, I both agree and disagree with that. I don't think any spiritual authority should be taken literally, and any honest teacher will make that clear. The thing that spiritual authorities teach can't be expressed in words. There's still SOMETHING that can be expressed though, and you must agree with this, otherwise why are you doing what you do? I do think that spiritual teachers have value, but they are not all equal. An honest teacher who is dedicated to spiritual exploration can give you a lot more wisdom than some hack on the street who just wants your money. But I think the way to judge a spiritual teacher is not based on what they say, but the way they make you feel. And it's not about making you feel good, it's even deeper than that. It's a feeling of realization, which is very difficult to describe, especially in the English language.
Is there a sense of nostalgia there for when "you" felt separate? Do you remember it much?

Anyone who claims to be a master/guru/expert is a phony. Waking up/enlightenment doesn't even have anything to do with spirituality lol. People always get that all tangled up. Enlightenment is simply truth realization. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not about bliss, or saving you from suffering or getting to a higher consciousness, or zen or meditation or any of that. It's simply seeking truth, as in just what the hell is going on, in terms of "reality" what is happening, what is going on.
As Rupert Spira would say a cup of tea is more exotic than realisation 😂

I didn’t like the part where you said the more knowing the more you can’t trust.
I think what you should say instead is, the more knowing a person has, the more information will come out, and if the inner discernment is shaken as it clearly for client here, then it will be more of a challenge for her navigate through the info given, so she can take what is for her to find clarity, and leave the rest.
First I would help her recognize that clarity is a need for her otherwise she becomes lost and discernment is out of reach. I know it because I see the same in me. Once a person understands their needs, then they can learn to meet them and how to get them met and that establishes a bond with the self.

@2Snakes I think she's living outside of her head more than anything. Though at face value I can totally get why it probably seems the exact opposite to some. She fully acknowledges that life is infinitely larger than her, and that rather than drowning in the chaos, all she really has to do is exist. Imo that's the foundation to living a life of contentment
