Getting over nostalgia they are actually in my opinion AMAZING pieces of music. The tracks make you feel any emotion and or tense or soothed. This is the kind of music we should care about.
“What do you do in Minecraft?” “ You punch a tree for wood, then build a house, then find diamonds” Such a small description I told my parents when they asked why I wanted to buy the game, I remember beta, and what I did on it, the cringeworthy now, but the awesome back then songs based on this game. I will always have a relationship with Minecraft, a mixed one, but one I still love.
I understand we all want to go back, but we can't. That's the magic. The nostalgia, the memories are so great. I love this game but we have to keep moving forward. Every now and then I like to make a world on my own and play this soundtrack and just go back to the days before all these servers and new blocks. Minecraft has grown and changed not in a bad way, but these songs make me so happy and sad at the same time. Thank you c418, because without you our beloved game wouldn't be nearly as special in our hearts.
I remember 2012... I didn’t know what Xbox live friends were... I heard of Minecraft from school and begged my parents for it... We went to GameStop and got it for my Xbox 360... I loaded into the tutorial world... Couldn’t figure out how to turn off f5 mode... Exploring the vast tutorial world... 1 year later Struggling to find iron... Building mini games in creative... Trying to find herobrine... 5 years later Got an Xbox one Got Minecraft Played with my sister every once and awhile, not really thinking about it 1 year later Minecraft makes a comeback, I don’t really care, I’ve still been playing it rarely... This reminds me of the original tutorial mode, With the library that had the enchantment table, That one area with the ocelots and dogs that would ALWAYS get loose if you didn't tame them fast enough, That one tall building with beds that I would always run to when 4 zombies and a creeper were chasing me, I remember that creeper boat in the middle of the ocean that had a music disc in the crow's nest, I remember the flaming bow and arrows in that chest at the top of the steps, I remember the huge floating 'MINECRAFT' logo made out of blocks that I would always try to hit with the aforementioned flaming arrows, But most of all, it reminds me of playing it with my friend.
This is so much more than just a game. I can remember playing it around my Grandads, he doesnt care for technology but if the grandkids are happy he is happy. Though when watching me play minecraft he was so drawn in. All the things I would do and make, he clearly realised just how clever it all was. He is an architect so I think theres a certain bit of love for seeing someone make things. Many years later when I popped over he had a copy of it on the side and I asked what it was for, he had bought it for a child in the family. He wasnt asked, on his own choice he of all people bought someone a video game because of the fond memories of watching me play it. It made me smile and likely made someones Christmas. It's amazing just how this game has reached out to people of all backgrounds.
My first house. My first night. My first death... Through good times and bad times... Through fun times and tragic times... I'll never forget you. That's just what this song feels like.
+Bossben Cool why do you despise it I got back into it playing alpha 1.2.1 (or whatever the last alpha was). I suggest you do the same... It's my sorta thing ya know.
Bossben Cool Yeah, that's why I tend to lean away from the community... Only youtube channel I still watch is Ethoslab, someone I genuinely feel is a chemo to the cancerousness of the community nowadays. No idea who "futuristic hub" is though, but I assume it's some sort of youtube channel aimed at monetizing everything to do with minecraft. I think setting objectives for yourself is the point of minecraft; Surviving is. Everything you do in minecraft is aimed to help you survive better and make your life easier, and that's what I feel is what it's all about; making your survival the easiest it could possibly be.
I remember pretty clearly, i would beg my parents for minecraft from time to time, but they would always say no because they thought it was a waste of time. One day, however, i was in my room, and out of nowhere, my dad came in and handed me a copy of minecraft for our playsation 3. It meant the world to me. I will never forget it...
Anybody remember staying up on a warm summers night, on their phone or iPod or whatever, playing minecraft while your parents are asleep, having the sound gently in the background. Those where the time when i was like 9 or 10 and i never cared about what anyone thought about me, or cared how i looked. Stress free. I loved those days. I feel like listening to this song makes me remember that what i enjoy doing now i need to cherish, because in a few years ill look back on it and feel the same way as i do now.
A man by the name of Notch had an idea, a cave game, a sandbox that was seemingly endless. An adventure that had everyone saying "just one more block". This man, that game , those blocks have brought all of you here to celebrate what has become "MINECRAFT".
In essence it's the story of Adam and Eve. God created the ultimate diverse biome, gave man the gift of creativity, a female of the species to grow, explore and take care of the animals on Earth with and his only rule was 'Don't do this thing that would cause you to die by eating from one of the two special trees'. He commanded man to have lots of kids, explore, create, innovate and LIVE in this beautiful place. Minecraft, I personally believe, speaks to that natural programming placed into us for adventure and ever changing challenges and stimuli placed into us by God.
Nilex Mano I wish the same with mine. I just want the old old worlds that I used to play with my cousins and little sister. I just want to explore them one more time.
Simply a name: Minecraft. It has express our feelings to the depth. This song, let's us dive to the bottom of the nostalgical memories. We won't ever forget it. The nostalgia will be reminded when you hear this, even only once. Let us all, re-experience the good old days.
I swear, the first time I heard this song on CZcams, I almost cried. It had been _so_ long since my cousins and I played TU1 on my grandparents' 360. There are so, _so_ many good memories on that Xbox. So many.
I remember being three years old. i first booted up minecraft on our playstation 3. It was probably around 10 in the morning. 2015. Truly a great year for me.
I remember in good old days I was punching my first tree, and this song started. So peaceful, full of story and life, I refused to turn it off. And every now and then, I hear this exact song playing, reminding me of the first time I ever played my favourite game. The nostalgia always gets to me making me teary-eyed at the beauty of this song, in fact, I'm getting a little nostalgic writing this out. A song I'll never forget.
15 days until the 14th anniversary. It’s crazy to think about how far the game has come since the unnamed cave game from 2009. I may have never played the very first version before, but I think the classic browser version has taught me just how much I missed since my first time playing it was only in 2017 on 1.7. I now play constantly and use it to exercise my creativity every day, and here’s to many more years of coming updates
the picrtue in the video, the starts moving but te plain not.. just shows that through time and everything, your old minecrfat wordls will still stay the same, waiting for you. thanks you minecraft c418
Oh man yes. With gold and obsidian. where a base made out of netherrack appeared, items dropped out of the ground and u had to fight against zombie pigmen
"Day 5", you write down. "I found a mineshaft in my set of mineshafts, and found...monsters, cobwebs, and chests. And in it, I found my first diamonds." You brandish your diamond sword. "I also found cocoa beans, and in the walls, I found this weird blue ore. After mining it, I found this thing called "Lapis Lazuli"." You look around. Your house looks well furnished, paintings covering part of the wall. "A creeper almost killed me there, but I heard the hiss and ran away in time. I suffered minor damage, but that's fine." You look at the roof, showing the night sky through the glass. "It's beautiful out here."
After reading all these comments I wish someone would make a server that was hosted in an early version of minecraft, somewhere between late beta and 1.2.5.
aidan hsu I did really like 1.2.5 but I think my favorite update was 1.3 because of the new creative interface. That saved me alot of time when I built stuff.
+The_Quartz_Miner I think b1.6.7 would be the best. I am playing a world on it right now, it seems to have the perfect mix of features and nostalgia. I would totally fund this project.
They used to say the minecraft songs were.. calming, and some were even energetic. Undoubtedly they were correct, and the songs, were energetic calming, or whatever you like to call it. This, is simply the art of C418. You will be remembered forever. Goodbye king. (Context: I said goodbye King because minecraft were taken over by Microsoft and, C418 was replaced so, minecraft music will never be the same.)
When Minecraft wasnt about PvP and minigames. When 6 year olds still didnt rage about Hunger Games, and you could still be bad at Minecraft without getting made fun of... Good times.
Back when the game was full of freedom. Back when creativity was the main perpose. Back when playing vanilla survival with friends was the best feeling
This reminds me of when I first played minecraft. I knew nothing, just exploring getting some wood not even know that you need a pickaxe to mine stone. Then go into a cave die to a creeper, then do it all over again, man I miss the old days.
I remember when I got stuck in a hole and didn't know how to dig out... I remember my first dirt house I made from a witches hut... I remember the first time I crafted a sword... I remember my first time killing the ender dragon... *sigh* I love this song
you hear millions of dying noices of skeleton and zombie...going to the cave you found the earlier...a spawner?...oh i need torches, ill be back. ahhh good times :)
As much as I have the warm and fuzzies of nostalgia, I'm honestly just excited that at its core - minecraft is *still* minecraft. I was a fanboy ever since I got my hands on it back in 2010 or so and, honestly it was just so fun building random stuff, cool simple houses and ideas with an old friend of mine who for the life of me I can't remember the name of. All I remember is us mining, building and getting excited about the new things that were being added. 2023 and now there's a whole new world that I can now dig into with my dad, as we use minecraft as a simple exercise for work related stuff! I can't wait to relearn and learn the new stuff together and to also grow even more with this game. heh. I guess I'm still a gamer after callin' the hardcore quits a decade ago :3
Do you hear that, That's the sounds of tamed cat and wolves waiting for their owners to return That's the sound of villagers needing help That's the sound of vast worlds calling you to explore them, That's the sound of new memories, New friends, New victories, Do you hear it, its calling for you.
I turn on the old, broken down family laptop, fot the first time in months. I grab my USB and plug it in. I search my folder, finally finding the misplaced ".minecraft" folder i hid away after the game stopped working on the old hardware. I go to "saves", and see all my worlds. I look back on all the fond memories i had with them, and smile to myself. One quick operation, and they're all copied and pasted onto my USB stick. I unplug it and turn the laptop off. I turn on my new, beefy gaming computer. I grab my USB and plug it in. I search "%appdata%", and find ".minecarft", then go to "saves", not crowded with worlds after the last cleaning. I ponder on all the fond memories that i may create within this game and its worlds, then open the USB's contents in another window. One quick operation, and the old worlds are moved to "saves". I open up the game, like i always did through the decade of me playing. The launcher starts, and i select Singleplayer. I search the world list. And there, on the very bottom, the old worlds are waiting for me, as if they've been this way forever. I look through them, and select one. The one dearest to me, my first world. The sun is rising over a hilly plains biome. It's the oceanside, with a headland protruding into the blue. On the headland stands a house made of red brick, with a nether brick roof and a balcony supported by stone brick pillars. nearby is a lighthouse, illuminated by controlled lava columns flowing from the top and made mostly of glass. A blocky wooden box, which is actually the mighty pirate ship, sits in the water ashore. In the distance, further into the land, a square castle with a broken moat is visible. Inside, castle's pumpkin-headed mannequin citizens can be seen. My character is standing atop a hill, overlooking all of it. I look around. Nothing has ever changed. It's all here, just as it always has been. And now, it'll never go away. I walk forward, towards my house. I make my way through all of the elaborate mob traps i set up in the past. I'm finally in my garden, with trees and flowers around me. I hear a soft "Meow!" and turn around to see him. It's Lucifer the Black Cat, my first ever minecraft pet and a loyal companion. I smile. "Hey, little guy. What were we supposed to do today..? Oh, that's right, a library enchanting room inside the house! Come on, we have a lot of work to do."
The good ol' days of 2017 all the way up to 2020-2022. I always played minecraft, I was begging for my brother to download me a free one, and he gave me a chance, until he resetted our computer in 2020-2021. I begged for him to download it for me again, but that time, he never did ever again. I was crying and crying because of all the memories I had saved on that singular free Minecraft app. My nice house, my dogs and cats, all of my pets, my villagers, the blocks, the pyramid structure, everything. Oh how I miss playing that good ol' game...
When I listen to Minecrafts tracks, I tear up. All the memories when I used to play it, love it.... The music is so nice and calming. And it makes me remember why I played Mc in the first place.. To have fun, explore and build.
“Welcome to a place, where everything is made of blocks. Where the only limit is your imagination. Let go wherever you want to go. Climb to tallest mountain, venture down the the darkest caves” -original introduction to Minecraft video.
Minecraft music is so iconic, it’s impossible to mistake it for anything else.. it’s also really nostalgic too, especially for anyone who’s been playing since legacy edition or bedrock whatever you wan to call it came out on the xbox 360. I loved that original minecraft way more than what it is now that microsoft took control over it. As a kid I wished there was more and that the worlds went forever but now that all that’s changed I wish I could go back to when it was more simple
I think their just trolling or they accidentally hit it. Although I have some soulless friends that completely turned off the music in Minecraft because it's classical and they think its boring or something. It's not like its Mozart, it's classical, but mixed with modern music as well (Moog City is pretty much in the techno genre).
You can unlike a video, then press like, so they're probably just trolling. And no one would look up some video game background music just to dislike the video right? Maybe. Some people probably would.
My oldest memory of this game is playing the tutorial world with the giant staircase. When I was little I didn't know how to get up that staircase and I spent so long trying to get up that staircase and I finally got up when my brother or sister completed the tutorial. Then we would switch it to creative and spend 5 minutes finding Stampy's house so we could recreate his lovely world videos. It was such a happier simpler time back then. You just boot up your Xbox 360 hear that whoosh and insert the disk. The memories were amazing and I wish I could go back in time. Before our Xbox broke and just play Minecraft.
i remember playing minecraft on my ps3 just me my friends and the minecraft world's everyday was a new adventure now listening to this make me want to go. just go back in time to the good days when nothing mattered if anyone wants to know yes i do miss my friends. And I wont see them again but i hope i do.
Yea I remember, my friends had PS3's and I had a 360 without live, so we did not get to play online even, but the best moments were when I would come over and help them build small houses.
yes I remember because I still do building and you and your friends can still do building to this day. I don't even heard about bedwards ans skywards that much.
I owe a good 50% of my childhood to this game. Every time I come back to it, it's like talking to an old friend who I haven't seen in ages. Good memories only...
My first Minecraft experience was at a summer camp, like the lego robotics camp, for but learning to build Minecraft redstone. I remember just clicking 'create world', not knowing I was supposed to be in creative mode for the camp. All I remember happening was spawning in a forest, finding a wolf, trying to pet it, and making it angry. It and 3 others jumped at me, I panicked and jumped into a river. I don't remember what happened after that, but that was my first experience with this game. I'll never forget it, even if it was short and scary for me. Now I look back on this, and realize I had it so good back then. I wish I could go back and relive it, in a time where I didn't know what CZcams was, much less the nonsense that happens on it. I wish I could go back and experience this wonderful game for the first time again. I can't, but that's ok, I can still make new memories, even if they won't feel quite the same.
My childhood was good... But it's gone... Forever... It's only in my head now... Memories... 9 years since I first played minecraft... On my brothers world...
I remember when I was a young child I heard this song when I was watching a redstone piston house. Way before command blocks, before Team Crafted, before mini games, and etc. I didn't play Minecraft, but Minecraft is still nostalgic to me. Hell, I remember hearing this song on a "How to build a TNT cannon" vid. Those were good days (´Д`)
I hear it...I hear it calling me back...into a clam, warm and a comforting embrace. Just these exams..this past 😢 this month of March next year. Ill be back. Trust me. I have never left. Nor I ever will. I still love you Minecraft. ❤❤❤
Every time I listen to this soundtrack I get the weirdest nostalgia that grants me happiness and relaxation. I played this non stop in my younger ages only to loose interest and focus on responsibilites. It seems just like yesterday when I was young and watched as my older brother would hop on the computer and play with our neighbors early in the morning. I watched them every day til the beat the game and shortly grew apart from eachother, so however young u are never ever forget what brings u joy.
It was about 10 years ago when i discovered what Minecraft was from these kids from my school who were obsessed with the game. All they would talk about was Minecraft. Then i searched on youtube what minecraft actually was. From that moment on, Minecraft became a huge part of my life. I played the game almost everyday with my brother, we created so many worlds and made so many memories. Im glad i made those memories, i will always remember how special Minecraft is to me 🥺
This brings memories back to MCraft pocket edition... back when I was 6...back when the game was very new...before nether (at least in Mobile there wasn’t nether) and before the end (again in Mobile at first they didn’t have end). Then I got it on PS3 and me and my cousins played non stop.. the. PS4...and now the switch.... Mojang made a great game that will indeed go down in history
Every time i hear this soundtrack ... Every time Its the classic 2009 Minecraft calling me to play it. Thus when i play i walk in to the green blocky forests, With mysteries to solve with places to Explore, with legends to unfold... Old but good And nostalgic 😓😖
You start a world You build your house You spend the night on the rooftop you watch the stars as they float in the night sky you watch the sun rise you remember what 2012 feels like
How the sound of a new world, the sound of the future.... Became the sound of the past, of nostalgia Minecraft, just a game that entered into your heart
So today I was on CZcams music and found this. Didn't think much of it and thought I should listen to it for a while. After the first notes played I remembered a 4 year old survival world where me and my friend David used to play. David had to leave town and move to the United States and not long after that his phone died and we lost all ways of contacting each other. I haven't seen him online for 2 and a half years, but every day I take away from my time (mostly used for studying) to go get some diamonds and leave them in front of his house. To prevent them from despawning I put them in a double chest and now they piled up to 34 stacks of diamond blocks. Whenever I hear this I think about the good time I used to have with David and how much I miss seeing him or hearing his voice. When I think about the fun we would have building random stuff in our little city I go to bed and just try not to cry, failing most of the time. I just hope he's doing well, wherever he is right now.
When I was younger I got Minecraft on my IPad for free. I would play with my brother and my cousins, and we would always have a great time, Making treehouses and hidden bases in Survival, Constructing massive works of art and machines in Creative. Something funny or amazing would happen every time we played, and I loved it. What happened? Where did it all go? I should start another world with them.
''Pick up your items, Pick them all, you'll need them. Go look for a refuge, it's going to be useful, why? Because it's getting darker, and darker. Lights are turning off, and you REALLY gotta have your personal always turned on light....''
U wake up. Its 2014, its snowing outside. Your mom tells u that theres no school today. U hop onto ur xbox 360 (or ipad or ps3 depending on what u have) and open up ur survival world. U made good progress that day.

This song doesn't just remind me of Minecraft, it reminds me of a bygone era of the Internet.
A man by the name of Notch had an idea, a cave game, a sandbox that was seemingly endless. An adventure that had everyone saying "just one more block". This man, that game , those blocks have brought all of you here to celebrate what has become "MINECRAFT".
The origin
I WANT TO ACTUALLY SOB WTF
It's the most beautiful thing I've ever played
In essence it's the story of Adam and Eve.
God created the ultimate diverse biome, gave man the gift of creativity, a female of the species to grow, explore and take care of the animals on Earth with and his only rule was 'Don't do this thing that would cause you to die by eating from one of the two special trees'. He commanded man to have lots of kids, explore, create, innovate and LIVE in this beautiful place.
Minecraft, I personally believe, speaks to that natural programming placed into us for adventure and ever changing challenges and stimuli placed into us by God.
my cousin showed it to me on his phone and so i downladed it on my moms phone (by buying it while she wasnt looking)
I want my old world back, the old version of mc back, My old world... nothing is going to replace it.

Gather around everyone, let’s take a moment to encourage what we did in the past, don’t be sad, be happy it happened after all the years of Minecraft

Exactly.
This song is in our Hearts...forever
It’s funny how when you posted this is when I was making those memories, the good ol days :(
The Guy yeah, I started Minecraft in mid 2012 when it was summer break. I woked up early to play some Minecraft everyday. Good ol times...
15 days until the 14th anniversary. It’s crazy to think about how far the game has come since the unnamed cave game from 2009. I may have never played the very first version before, but I think the classic browser version has taught me just how much I missed since my first time playing it was only in 2017 on 1.7. I now play constantly and use it to exercise my creativity every day, and here’s to many more years of coming updates

just shows that through time and everything, your old minecrfat wordls will still stay the same, waiting for you.

"Day 5", you write down. "I found a mineshaft in my set of mineshafts, and found...monsters, cobwebs, and chests. And in it, I found my first diamonds."
You brandish your diamond sword.
"I also found cocoa beans, and in the walls, I found this weird blue ore. After mining it, I found this thing called "Lapis Lazuli"."
You look around. Your house looks well furnished, paintings covering part of the wall.
"A creeper almost killed me there, but I heard the hiss and ran away in time. I suffered minor damage, but that's fine."
You look at the roof, showing the night sky through the glass.
"It's beautiful out here."
Seems so, mh? These a amazing! Thank you very much for punching my heart with rocks...
"And although I may be alone, it's alright. It means I'm the first to discover all of this and I am the first to claim it as my own."
Now I'm gonna make books in Minecraft.
I damn well know you didn't get diamonds on your 5th day.
I didn't really understand until the part about looking through your glass ceiling. I had a glass ceiling like that so it hit me hard.
After reading all these comments I wish someone would make a server that was hosted in an early version of minecraft, somewhere between late beta and 1.2.5.
1.2.5 was my favourite update.

I did really like 1.2.5 but I think my favorite update was 1.3 because of the new creative interface. That saved me alot of time when I built stuff.

As much as I have the warm and fuzzies of nostalgia, I'm honestly just excited that at its core - minecraft is *still* minecraft.
I was a fanboy ever since I got my hands on it back in 2010 or so and, honestly it was just so fun building random stuff, cool simple houses and ideas

How can this even HAVE a dislike? How is that even possible?

Yes...

How the sound of a new world, the sound of the future.... Became the sound of the past, of nostalgia
Minecraft, just a game that entered into your heart
"I picked up your stuff so it wouldn't despawn"
"WHERE'S MY STUFF??"
"I DON'T KNOW"
*crying*
"WHERES MY STUFF?????!"
my ender chest:
Wow. I don't know why. Just wow. I remember this, basically the theme of Minecraft. When I first played minecraft, this song was there. Memories...
I appreciate Minecraft more than words can describe.
When I was younger I got Minecraft on my IPad for free. I would play with my brother and my cousins, and we would always have a great time,
Making treehouses and hidden bases in Survival,
Constructing massive works of art and machines in Creative.
Something funny or amazing would happen every time we played, and I loved it.
What happened?
Where did it all go?
I should start another world with them.
