I love how she mentioned "people on the spectrum" instead of saying "People with Disabilities" because these people aren't disabled. They have special abilities that could touch the hearts of others. Genuine and true to her core. I'm gonna be honest, she is not my favorite to win the crown but with what she has shown in this video, she has what it takes to clinch the crown. Just a little bit of personality development and walk training, and she's good to go! Way to go, MMD! You are impressive.

Just to clarify, 'to be on the spectrum' refers specifically to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It's not a general term encompassing ALL mental health conditions according to te DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition).
Hence, if you have other conditions than ASD, for instance Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), you aren't on the spectrum. I'm on the spectrum myself.
Moreover, the DSM is an official medical document that professionally refers to mental health conditions as 'mental disorders' too. 'Mental disorders' is an official term used in professional contexts and isn't meant to sound derogatory. In fact, a lot of neurodivergent conditions are officially named a 'disorder', e.g. General Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) etc. Hardly any professional renames them to sound 'more respectful'. Those are just the official terms according to the DSM.
Just spreading some education and clarifying possible misunderstandings here. No hate. ❤

So happy she won MUPH 2023! I love that her advocacy is autism awareness. I'm not on the spectrum, but I was diagnosed with ADHD, and I say this is a big win for neurodivergent people! I'm not really a pageant fan, but I'm now a big fan of MMD's! Excited for the Miss Universe pageant because I'm proud of who's representing the Philippines! ❤🇵🇭

I like that she included her brothers. I met Michelle and her family first time in Utah at her sister's wedding. I see a lot of transformation in her. She used to be timid and could be easily misunderstood.
I love it that she is speaking more in this video as compared to have a narration only. After watching this, I’ve learned so much about her, that she is Sporty, artistic, down to earth, loving sister, god-fearing, businesswoman strong, intelligent, inspiring driven. This video is the perfect marriage of knowing Michelle and on how Makati has played a role on her life.

I watched all of the videos posted in the HER STORY category and so far this is the best video. My bet to win is Emmanuel Vera tbh but this video is really something. It is authentic, relatable, and accurate.
You don't need to promote the place you are representing but you should take us to where you started, where you go, what you do and what makes your story unique and shocks Michelle gave us that.

Based on Miss Universe 2022 results (pattern of selection), she should win Miss Universe Philippines this year. Her story (advocacy), her abilities (eloquence, confidence, knowledge, pasarela etc), her personality, her physique could land her to top 5 of Miss Universe. My unsolicited advise: better styling. Her figure deserves the very best (better fitted bodice please, everything should be impeccable. Come on Philippines, our next Miss Philippines should be helped by everyone to win. :)
