You may take and put a small piece of thin leather in under your leans and riser that may help or put some Velcro on the leans where the string comes over the receiver for string slap on the leams. I have done both and it has helped me.

Just got my Discovery today. Set it up and shot a few arrows. Only put rubber silincers on and it’s quiter than my Black widow. Love the bow so far. I did get the fiam limbs in 45 lbs.

You are going to love the bow! I really enjoy shooting mine and I think I'm going to order some 40 pound limbs for it specifically for shooting small game and 3D tournaments. Enjoy the bow and have a great summer!

I put brush buttons on mine and velcro up at the limb tips. It really doesn’t sound too bad.

My Discovery isn't as quiet as my wooden longbows either. Like you I have string silencers and calf hair in the string grooves. I think the loudness just goes with the territory of takedown with metal riser.

Hi mate. It has been some time between now and your video and you will have progressed no doubt.
More info for you from youtube experts. 600 spine way too weak. Challenge to get enough arrow weight so we load the front end. GTs do make a 10.3 g per inch as so Beman centreshots aka Eadton Axis. GTs have never been so consistent for me.
Carbons have fadt dynamic spine...they spring back fadter...so can mask incorrect spine. I too shoot full length arriws to gain weight and also forgiveness of arrow. Out of 57lb i use 30.5 inch Centreshots with 340 spine 75instert and 125 tip. 585grains.
Twist string in 3 turn increments then 1 turn and noise will go

I actually am using 400 spine arrows with mine now. I bare shaft tuned them and ended up at about 29.5 inches for the length of them and I'm shooting 200 grains up front. They fly like darts now! Have a wonderful year!

sir have you tried to mess around with your brace height to quiet it down? I am sure you made sure all those screws are snug and all. Ppl been saying arrow weight and brace height big parts in quieting your bow down.
Nonetheless sweet looking bow. I am diggin that muddy oak color. Cheers!

Yes...I have found that 7 3/4 inches is the best brace height for me with this bow. I already shoot pretty heavy arrows with it (about 650 grains) so that's not the issue. This bow really isn't that noisy....I am super pleased with it and it's well worth the price! I think in general take down bows are going to be a little louder than a one piece bow. Have a great year!

@@Retired_Rambler awesome. I am debating on which aluminum riser to get between Hoyt satori with satori limbs or Samick discovery with high end limbs. few ppl were saying discovery wasnt the quietest bow and it kinda bothered me.

@@Retired_Rambler and I saw ppl who had both saying satori is much quieter.

@@moon1993hy I have never shot the Hoyt and I actually pondered getting one instead of the discovery. I have never been around anyone shooting the Hoyt either so I can't give a fair comparison of the two. I will say that when I complain about the noise of the discovery that I'm probably being a little dramatic and I'm comparing it to my one piece wood bows...which are of course going to be quieter just because there are less moving parts. I will also say that the discovery isn't any louder than the Ghost long bow or the black hunter or the samick sage....those are all my take downs and they all are pretty even in the noise department.

@@Retired_Rambler Very true. More parts mean more potential places to make noise. I might just get Discovery and start shooting instead of debating on which one to get.
