      @@Rowsy91 for sure man, you couldn't have said it better. I'm a Packers fan myself. Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald are undeniable and hard not to root for. Those 3 are high character individuals. I'd like to throw Donald Driver in there too. That might be bias though lol

    As a Texans fan from day 1 I think I honestly might shed a tear watching Andre get inducted to the HOF dude was a first class receiver and a first class human being.

      Yup, people truly dont understand how dominant he was. He was basically the freakiest reciever ever before calvin came into the league. Top5 all time without a doubt if he played elsewhere

    The Texans had a Squad for a few years. Andre Johnson. Arian Foster. Watt. Clowney. Cushing. Leech. Even Hopkins. They made a mistake getting rid of Matt Schaub though. He had great chemistry with Andre Johnson.

      @@ericparker163 very true but the window they had was so precious that restarting the chemistry closed that window 🪟. Similar thing happened to my Chargers when they tried to rush in Norv Turner to replace Marty S. But all it did was cost us 3 more years of LTS prime learning a new offensive scheme and that window closed too. I always saw the Texans as a Mirror of the chargers in a way.

    People ignore that Andre Johnson put up a HOF career and he had one long term QB and it was Matt Schaub.
    All the QBs he played with combined have 2 pro bowls under their belt. He is a Hall of Famer

      Compared to his counterparts, Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne, Hines Ward. All who had HOF QBs. All deserve to be in to me. They are all among the all time greats. Boldin very close but just outside. Larry Fitz and Calvin are prolly 1st ballots while everyone else will need to wait

    Since Andre is from my way. I have been watching him his whole career. He's a Miami boy, played for The U!! Was part of Greatness there and in the NFL. Like a lot of greats from The U that made a huge impact in the NFL also.

    My HOF requirement is you had to be one of the best players in the league for 7+ seasons and I think he fits the bill.

      Idk man. He really only had 5 years that fit that bill imo. For a receiver to be considered “one of the best” I think you need to have 1200+ yards at least or on pace barring injury. Andre had a great peak but I think he could not be mentioned and still tell the story.

    Jump ball threat you couldn’t press him at the line either, dude was big, fast and strong, ran the ball with authority, secondary defenders had a real hard time tackling this man, imo he was just a stallion fast and strong with the ball in his hands, great possession receiver but he could do it all so well back shoulder fade jump balls in the end zone, he was FAST too super consistent that’s how I remembered him just wish he would’ve played on a team that had a chance to win a ring

    Anyone saying Dre shouldn’t get in didn’t watch him play consistently. If he had a great QB slinging the ball to him most of his career, dude could’ve been a Top 5 all time receiver. Pristine route running, never dropped balls, and used his size to beat guys to the ball in the air and then truck them on the ground. Hope he gets in, he deserves it.

      As a guy who watched him every game from beginning to end , his skills should've put in the hall of fame but his numbers aren't hof worthy unfortunately. But definitely an all time great player!

      @@dawakat08 So 1062 career reception, 14185 career yd and 70 total td is not HOF worthy? Joe Namath made it with a horrible TD-INT ratio. Terrell Davis made it without even cracking 10000 yard rushing and so did Gale Sayer. He ranks ahead of James Lofton and Steve Largent in both Reception and receiving yards but both are in the Hall of Fame.

      Obviously you didn’t see him play, he was undoubtedly the best WR in the NFL for a couple of years, there was debates about who was better between him and Larry Fitzgerald who played with Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston and also had Kurt Warner throwing him the ball which says a lot about how great Johnson was putting up better numbers than Fitzgerald with guys like David Carr and Matt Shaub throwing him the ball

      @@nonlethalnuke it cant be all about numbers we know that. Andre rolled up a ton of numbers in MEANINGLESS GAMES. Hines Ward put up his stats against the best teams in the biggest games. And that is just one example.
