Tommy Pham is a gangster give him a 5 year contract
They answered my question đȘ
Iâve been saying for years, even in 2021, the same thing Frank just said about a team full of platoon players. This roster has been stacked with AAAA & bench players that would barely make the cut on most other teams. And the couple of bright spots have been too injured to even matter. Eloy has only played 54% of games since 2021, Luis Robert has only played 59%, and Moncada has only played 65%.
Tommy Ryan here đ
Was a big Ozzie fan until today. Even met him 18 years ago when I was 7 years old and had the picture I took with him up on my wall my whole childhood.
As for my expertise, yes I know what Iâm talking about. I am a professional data scientist. I have a degree in statistics. There was nothing wrong with my question. It wasnât meant to be disrespectful or degrading.
The demonization of information is unbelievable. Analytics in baseball are an attempt to measure what happens on the field. If you think thereâs something you can see that analytics doesnât measure, go create a statistic to measure it. Analytics are constantly evolving and improving, but at the end of the day, ignoring information because you canât do math is irresponsible.
I guess you didnât listen to the entire segment, analytics have their own place in the game, but there is still a human element to player thatâs more important that what numbers show
Good players have good metrics, bad players usually have bad metrics, so the common denominator is human talent, and thatâs includes on field intangibles that canât be put defined by numbers
Itâs about talent, with better talent come better analytics
@@nickskrill2005 how do you know which players are good so you can get them on your team?
that's exactly why I don't like Ozzie Guillen and don't miss him as manager. An uneducated, opinionated, foul-mouthed idiot.
You need to have data as well as guts in this game. Seen both misused. Your question was valid
Ozzie, baseball needs you. Manfred needs to be stopped before he ruins the game completely.
