  • Walt Disney World is home to four different theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. However, that begs the question; which is the best of the bunch? In this video, I'll be ranking these four parks from best to worst.

    My ranking:
    4- animal kingdom. One more good land could put it in SERIOUS contention with the other parks, but for now it’s still slightly lacking in rides and some theming (Dino land) still great park though.
    3- magic kingdom: classic park with classic theming and impossible to hate on. Although the food is VERY weak in my opinion. Although the park is abviously greatly designed and a classic among theme parks.
    2- Hollywood studios- very close to #1, amazing food, rides, and theming. Toy Story land and Star Wars land add so much to the park. It’s insane how much this park has evolved over the last 10 years… still can’t beat #1 tho.
    1- Epcot: I don’t know if any park will ever beat Epcot, the nostalgia, theming, FOOD, layout, it’s incredible. Future world is currently lacking but it has an amazing soundtrack which gives it a nice feel. And world showcase is the best themed area ever created IMO, with world class food.

    It’s kind of wild how relatively recently, Hollywood Studios being the worst Walt Disney World Park among reviewers was a common enough opinion to be almost an objective fact. The company’s investment into that park over the last decade really paid off.

    Great video! My personal ranking:
    4. Animal Kingdom. Excellent theming and food but only a few good rides.
    3. Epcot. World Showcase is amazing, some good rides, Remy’s is underrated imo.
    2. Hollywood Studios. Toy Story, Star Wars, and MMRR are all excellent. Food and theming are both solid. Haven’t ridden RNRC or TOT, which might affect the rankings.
    1. Magic Kingdom. It’s the classic. Good theming in most areas. Some bad rides, but enough great ones to easily fill a day. Definitely the weakest for food, but there are a few good restaurants. The sheer number of good rides is what puts this at #1

    I have EPCOT at 1. I appreciate its vision, even if it has been muddled in recent memory, with IP’s running amok on some of the rides. I just don’t think you can get it anywhere else.
    It annoys me how bad they messed up Test Track. That ride used to be such a classic, and I understand the contractual issues, but the best they could do is force Chevrolet down guests’ throats?

    • @MACMAMI
      @MACMAMI Před 11 měsíci

      EPCOT definitely USED to be #1 in my view as recently as a decade ago, but I definitely consider it the worst park now: primarily because of how dumbed-down it has become and insulting to one's intelligence. The whole point of the park in the first place was to inspire the guest with attractions that aimed to not only educate everyone, but also were open-ended in their theming and narration to impart everyone with the notion of what else is possible whether it be via one's own imagination, making the Earth a better place, agriculture, etc. Now, it's been radically altered with cheap IP tie-ins to Frozen, Guardians Of The Galaxy, etc. that have nothing to do with the original vision and just come across as reinforcing the brand and demanding you buy merchandise.

  • @MACMAMI
    @MACMAMI Před 11 měsíci +4

    EPCOT used to be #1 to me as recently as a decade ago, but I completely agree that they've plunged to dead last now. The original vision of the park has been shamelessly tattered and dumbed down and just isn't worth my time anymore with how much it insults one's intelligence compared to between its opening in 1982 and the beginning off the Iger era. Eisner may have made his share of questionable decisions to say the least himself such as with Journey To Imagination, but the park as a whole still held up remarkably well under his tenure. Now I concede it's damaged beyond repair.
    I'd probably rank Magic Kingdom second personally, but I generally agree with your assessment of Magic Kingdom having lost a bit of its shine. My main gripe with the park is that the excessively long wait times for signature rides as well as the overcrowding and Genie+ aspects make it feel more like a chore to get through compared to decades past. It has gotten to the point where it's essentially a full-time job in its own right planning a trip there which should NEVER be the case for a vacation and it's for that reason why, contrary to most Disney fans I imagine, I don't consider it first.
    I'm choosing Animal Kingdom as my personal favorite for this reason: it's the most DISTINCT Disney park and in large part due to Joe Rohde's brilliance as an imagineer.................the theming of the park is still quite breathtaking even if I concede the counter-argument is its lack of rides by comparison. I sadly won't be the least bit surprised if Iger & Co. cheapens and dumbs it down eventually much like he and Chapek did EPCOT, but as of right now it's my personal favorite among the four parks.

    • @RealSwiggs
      @RealSwiggs Před 11 měsíci +1

      I think u could call HS many things but boring feels like an inaccurate depiction of its purpose. Maybe incoherent? The amount of IP’s in that park almost overwhelm me to be honest. Star Wars, toy story, Indiana Jones, twilight zone, the muppets, Aerosmith, and the Fabulous 5? I would argue the opposite and say there’s too much going on. Maybe the overstimulation bores you? Anyways I agree EPCOT is clearly the best to regulars and is a bit of an acquired taste, even if it has seen better days. Nothing else in the world quite like that park.

    Nice ranking! Here’s mine
    4:Magic kingdom(I feel like it’s feel apart lately. It has great rides and is a classic but the food and their weak rides weigh it down a bit)
    3:Animal kingdom(it has fantastic theming, rides, food, and I’ve always loved it. It’s just plain fun. I feel like it only having 7 rides weigh’s it down a bit.
    2:Hollywood studios(Do I have to explain this? It’s amazing with its rides and decent food offerings but I like one just a bit more)
    1:Epcot(most calming park of the bunch and it’s super fun to visit, sure some of the rides are lacking compared to others but I’ve just enjoyed it the most out of them all)
    As someone who’s going to both universal parks in about one week, I’ve always appreciated it more but Disney still holds a great place in my heart.
