- Amazing cover by Joshua Radin. Hope he doesn't mind me putting this up here.
From scrubs episode "My ABC"
"Joshua Radin covering the Sesame Street theme"
Everything belongs to ABC, I just put this up here so people can enjoy Joshua's Song.
I Really Want to Thank ABC for not taking this video down. - Hudba
JD's character growth is so fantastic.
There’s a scene early on where JD says he admires Dr Cox after Dr Cox was still taking a patients death hard after all these years being a doctor. And here we see JD 8 years into being a doctor still crying over patients
I think that's why this show never leaves my mind.
This scene is so, so true. As a child, you see "Sesame Street" as a fun show that just teaches you your 123s and ABCs. It isn't until you grow up and look back on it that you realize it went much deeper than that and, for many of us, it represents an innocent time in our lives that we all inevitably pass through. We have to, it's part of growing up, but for the rest of our lives, there's that part of us that secretly always wants to return to it.
In short, we're all left asking, "Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?"
Here here! Well said!
Best comment ever
I heard a quote once that went along the lines of “you learn long term life skills in kindergarten” and idk this episode hits hard on my memory of hearing that. ❤️
Spot on my friend!....Spot on
I turn 30 in just a few days and I am still waiting for someone to answer that question. I’ll probably be waiting for the rest of my life.
scrubs taught me it's always OK to cry
"That beer tasted great"- Don't cry, don't cry.... aaaahhhhhhhhhhh
WhoLetThemIn mr valentine
"Make your last thought a good one.
Even if it's the taste of an ice, cold beer."
Reasons why Scrubs was and is in my opinion one of the best drama/comedy series and obviosly the best doctor serie (stay away with Grey's Anatomy)
It's very funny but sometimes sad and serious too
Gotta watch it again someday...
I don't know man.. i like grey's anatomy. But i prefer Scrubs. Truly one amazing show. Many life lessons. By far the best drama/comedy focused on lives of doctors
MASH?
Rameen S. By far the best medical drama goes to House and then Scrubs.
My friends mom has been a nurse for over 30 years. She said this is the most accurate representation of life in a hospital
@@joeyfortney5685 Dr.House is the story of a guy who uses a cane for walking that breaks every single hospital/medical rule ever conceived for the sake of curing the weirdest diseases and Grey's anatomy...is tons of romances and dramas while being in a hospital...
This show is a treasure. It mixed comedy, drama, music, and medical stories. Wonderful character growth.
and best of all after it ended it only had one season of zombie show syndrome, so its legacy remains intact.
@@rustyshackelford312season 9 has its moments, no Carla was oddly a plus for me and I always found her unlikable (although that was kinda her role), love Judy Reyes though
@@dowkinners4106 Season 9 was never Scrubs. Even Bill Lawrence the creator says though. It was just marketed as Scrubs because ABC wanted to cash in on the popularity.
Had to come watch this scene again after hearing the news today that Caroll Spinney, the puppeteer and voices of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, passed away. Once we reach adulthood, we spend the rest of our lives trying to get back to the innocence of Sesame Street. Thanks for helping us try to find the way, Mr. Spinney. Rest in peace and blessed be.
as a medical student, I could learn everything i needed from scrubs.
+szolnicska i hope not
:) I mean I could learn everything my heart needed to be a good doctor and not go crazy :)
although this show is suprisingly accurate medicine-wise. Sometimes the pronounciation is a little off, but the medical stuff is mostly spot on, not like in grey's anatomy, or even House MD.
its funny you say that, one of my closest friends is finishing his last year of med school and a lot of the doctors hes worked with say the scrubs is the most accurate/realistic of all the doctor shows when it comes down to the serious moments
You cant compare them. House is a drama. Scrubs is just...amazing. House is amazing in which it does what its supposed to, which is to create suspense. Scrubs is just out there to deliver a message through comedy and tragedy. It is just awe inspiring.
This moment, this song, and this show is so underrated. I come back to this probably every year to relive it all.
I just watched this, only this. And the tears keep streaming. This show was so good. Even short scenes like this are so strong they can move me. That and the fact that i miss this show.
It’s crazy that of the three JD, Elliot, and Cox took under their wings, the only one that made it to JD’s finale was Denise. He’s gonna do a great job as a Residency Director.
Zach Braff's Acting is so awesome
Scenes like this is why I always tell people he's one of my all time favorite actors.
I dont like season 9, but i love 8 seasons of scrubs. It's one of the best series by far
+Adhi N
This song is one of the few bright spots of Season 9. But yea, Scrubs ended with Season 8. Season 9 should be taken off of Netflix.
+FavreianVengeance This was S8, not S9
+Adhi N S9 wasn't even supposed to be the 9th season.
It was intended as sort of a reboot.
Season 5 was the best!
Then don't watch it. But other people did like it.
the writers of this show are AMAZING! I mean, how many writers out there would have been able to put sesame street, a doctor show, comedy, and drmama all together in one show in 30 minutes? They rock!
One of the best scenes...
Isn't it amazing to realize JD's incredible transformation from the first day? Wow. I miss watching the transition, and I wish the show had gone on from season 7.
I'm grown up now, but I still visit Sesame Street through CZcams. It was a part of my childhood growing up in the '90s. I wasn't born when it first aired in 1969, but I loved it! It was where I first learned my letters and numbers and to be kind to people. I still miss Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert and Ernie, Elmo, and everybody. I love the new Muppets they introduced. Abby Cadaby, Julia, and others. And the songs from Sesame Street including this one, "Sing," and others still spin in my head. So every now and then, I go back to visit everyone on Sesame Street. It takes on a whole new meaning as an adult. I will share the show with my future kids. Great Job Joshua and the cast of "Scrubs for a great cover of my favorite theme from my favorite childhood television show!
Scrubs is a rare gem. It can make you cry because of the funny, as well as touching moments like these.
At 1:58 I so expected him to say through his tears to Jo, “Get out of my sight.” Just calmly telling her. Not yelling. Just let the passion drive her away.
I would have wished for somwthing like that. Or just a quiet but determined "Go".
I just watched this episode and thought so too. It would‘ve had even more impact.
Season 8 was brilliant...
It's a shame Scrubs will be getting another season, I think it ended so perfect!
Man this comment right here
I am a time traveller from 11 years in the future, I can tell you that yes, it was very much a shame that Scrubs got another season.
If anybody farther in the future comes across this comment, please let me know if things ever get better for Scrubs. Also, transport me to the future, 2020 is not particularly fun, and I would really like to meet some extra-terrestrials or travel faster than light. Peace
@@SuperLamarrio64DS in fairness though 2020 did bring Fake Doctors Real Friends, so... there’s something?
12 years later and you are still right.
@@SuperLamarrio64DS 2023 here, there's talks of a Scrubs movie at some point, so things are looking good.
Zach Braff is the prefect actor for this - he can do amzing comedy and slapstick, but when needed most, he can pull of these beautifully emotional scenes that just make me want to cry and cry. Just the image of him with tears in his eyes as he watches them makes me tear up :(
Hes amazing.
This song is so good ... I love this moment :)
Out of those two, Ben's death for sure. But, I think other moments such as Dr. Cox's breakdown in My Lunch or even this ending in My ABCs give it a run for its money.
Ben's death was such a whiplash, since the episode does its damnest to convince you he's still alive while giving you obvious hints in retrospect that he really isn't. That wham line "Where do you think we are?" made the whole episode.
A wonderful expose of how we've changed since most of us were kids watching Sesame St--and what we've become. And what's considered normal now.
one of the most touching scenes I have seen in a TV show.
There Will never EVER be a show like this.
It goes from comedy to drama with such perfection 🫶
I really hope Joshua Radin can release this song someday.

I have to admit that after losing my mother to cancer last summer a lot of whats in this season's episodes strikes a chord with me. I think the hardest words I have ever heard anyone say to me was 'there is nothing more we can do for her.'
It makes it hard to gauge if this season is really good or I am just feeling it personally.
I absolutely love this song and to hear it sung like this i love it more
"And even, it's ok to cry."
Beautiful.
Scene is so good.
It even plays on jd losing his own dad.
Damn this show was awesome.
Scrubs rules, and this episode is definitely one of the best!!!
Thanks man, I didn't expect to be able to find this; you lightened up my morning
This video sums up why the follow up they tried to do with Scrubs failed. Those interns were fucking terrible
In a show full of meaningful moments, this is one of my favorites. It is right. Sesame Street taught us, and it continues to teach important life lessons.
Got 2 love Ed. He is awesome
"No can do, other Indian guy. 'Bout to go get me some pizza!"
:)
his was such an amazing episode. its such a perfect mix of comedy and drama. and the sesame street theme song playing was a great touch.
I'm glad the Indian intern was talented enough to do better than most of his peers whilst also being able to uphold a reasonable work-life balance. Good on him for not carving into toxic peer pressure.
I cant explain, but when I first heard this version of the song I wanted to cry. Maybe it was my messed up lonely childhood or the fact that I watched alot of Sesame Street with my little brother when he was a baby which was seven years ago. This song takes me back to happier times.
The thematic content in this show is so amazing. The Sesame Street episode is fantastic, but my favorite is the Wizard of Oz episode.
this touches me so much the whole thing it brings out the kid in me who says why dont you rember this stuff its always nice to hear its ok to cry its a shame we hide how we fill becaus were scared of what others may think
Scrubs 💖💖💖 Lets pretend like season 9 never happened 😁
what season 9? book of love by peter gabriel was it's ending
@@priscillaz7993 what is this season 9 you're talking about because there is no season 9 only 8
Kinzi Fariq exactly!👍🏽
Darn it how can you have a happy song get so haunting. What a combo though sesame street, scrubs and joshua radin.
I don't watch Scrubs that often, but I saw this episode this summer with my cousin, and was amazed at the range it had. Most of the episode was incredibly funny, with the Sesame Street characters randomly popping up, but then it suddenly leads to this heartbreaking finale. Who would have guessed that the theme song for one of the greatest children's shows ever could be performed in such a sad yet moving way?
loving this song..
one of the saddest episodes
One of the saddest scenes EVER. I cried my eyes out the first time I saw it, and I'm still crying my eyes out
Thank you for the kind words. Enjoy the blessings of the people you have in your life and take the time to enjoy their company.
Scrubs is just an all around great show and I am glad they were able to come back.
so sweet how JD got all teary. brings tears to my eyes :'(
I never watched Scrubs, but I might.
Ryan Gallagher you won't regret it. Such an amazing show
You definitely should! It's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time
First episode of Scrubs I ever watched. First time I shed tears over a T.V show.
god, Zach Braff's expression at 1:44...chills!
Great episode :] Fav of Season 8 by far
YEP! I forgot about that one. I can agree with that. That was a tear jerker.
I honestly think Scrubs is one of the best shows of all time… nothing has made me feel like this show. The characters seem so real
JD crying breaks my heart
sesame street, making from something funny and goofy something absolutely brilliant
I wish this song was on spotify😢
Scrubs is the best TV show I've ever watched...
Still gets me.
yes!
Thanks for letting me be apart of your lives, sorta ish.
a combination of 2 great great shows.
being a medical student is hard as is....i like these short clips that kinda give me a little bit of relief....its overwhelming all the time :(
LOVE this song. Watched the end of this ep like 5 times today already (saddo i know lol) So need to get it if he ever releases it
never thought i'd cry listening to sesame street :(
I like my last words with george
Number 3 on my top 10 favorite scrubs episodes
Thank goodness they had this playing at the end. This episode did not have a nice fow until the end.
Wow......the ending (which was probably shot in 2008-10) is still relevant now of the tired and exhausted middle managers (millenials and youngest genxers) watching the Genz on their terms and not working as hard and releasing we have to manage ship on both ends.......it may not be applicable in all cases and companies but wherever I've worked I feel the struggle is damn real
God that version chokes me up!
I love this version of this song!! Can I buy it anywhere?? Love it xx
Finally, It's on his myspace! :D
i miss scrubs so much it hurts sometimes
"I will tell you how to get
How to get to Sesame Street."
I love scrubs and sesame street!!
I can see 1.58 so many times, but everytime i have goosebumps.
I watched this the day I left for college. It took me ten minutes to even get out of my chair since I was crying way too much to move.
Great Song.
Aww... JD at 1:58.
He is just so adorable.
Yea like every song is perfect ... No one can hate the music its just Great
I love scrubs ! :) Its ammazzzinnnggg :D
so basically you can learn all you need as a kid by watching sesame street, then grow up and learn all you need to know from scrubs. awesome
me too :( best show ever!
still one of my favourite Scrubs scenes.
I wish we had gotten one episode where Joe had an emotional connection with one character and we could see her breakdown.
No show had a better soundtrack
Joshua Radin is amazing
i almost cried at this part
It’s OK to cry is more of a Mr. Rodgers lesson, but in the 80’s those two shows came on back-to-back on PBS, so everything’s OK by me.
Why not? This is vintage season 1 Scrubs(my favorite of the previous 7) the only hing missing is the hospital background noise and we have our great series back. The past seasons have just been Family guy clones this series has character devolpment, real jokes, and great stories.
it was so sad it made me cry :(
Scrubs is the greatest Show i know. Its so emotional and funny. i love it. They always pick the best songs to play like this and Coldplay, exct. God how to explain this show its really hard but idk whatch it everyday soo woooo!
I never thought the Sesame Street theme would make me sad.
Yeah me too. But i hope they don't remove it. It's a nice vid :)
lets get Josh to release the song!!!!!! I really want it on my ipod
i dont know about someone dying from Cancer but i fell pain in these Scrubs episode. I am very sorry for your lose. May your mother R.I.P.
Omfg I'm glad there's other people in the word who ALSO wondered what the name of this song is!!!!!:)
It's hard to tell that JD was crying, you can't see the tears.(This makes me appreciate my TV even more. xP )
