Joshua Radin - Underwater New Song Live @Brew House, Gothenburg 14 oct.

Joshua played a brand new song called "Underwater". It was the first time he played it to anyone except the band. The sound is bad sometimes, I filmed it with a iPhone 3GS so that's why. The song itself starts at 2:10 minutes into the film, in the beginning he just introduces the song.

    Wow......the ending (which was probably shot in 2008-10) is still relevant now of the tired and exhausted middle managers (millenials and youngest genxers) watching the Genz on their terms and not working as hard and releasing we have to manage ship on both ends.......it may not be applicable in all cases and companies but wherever I've worked I feel the struggle is damn real

    Ed showed how lucky Dr Cox must have felt having J.D. He tried his best for the patient. J.D is a man of many faults. But the love he had for every patient is what made him an excellent doctor. While Ed didn’t even want to help himself. And threw his career away out of pure laziness.

    • @epaminon6196
      @epaminon6196 Před 8 měsíci

      Highly gifted people oftentimes feel the need to give it their all to excel in their field of work/study. Ed did not. So he didn't throw his career away out of laziness. He put in just the amount of work required for him to succeed the way he saw fit for his true self. He may not get the most sought-after, highest paying, most prestigious positions in the future - but he'll be able to make a good living as a doctor without giving up on his life outside of work like so many other gifted medical professionals do. I'm glad that Ed was talented enough to do better than most of his peers whilst also being able to uphold a reasonable work-life balance. Good on him for not carving into toxic peer pressure.

      @@cnote2458 Thanks for the reply. I didn't watch the follow-up. Now that I did, I can see why he got fired. Obsessing over a flipper automat and going out of his way to rub it into his supervisor's nose was just plain moronic of him. But he got flanderized by the writers of the show to highlight how important giving it your best really is. They threw him under the bus by making him a pradody of a lazy student. But that's not how someone like him would behave. He would have faked interest and participation to stay out of his infamously strict instructors way. That's how he would have gotten to 'above average' in the past. In my eyes, that's just sloppy writing.

    • @cnote2458
      @cnote2458 Před 7 měsíci

      @@epaminon6196 I do agree with you they used a very basic formula for his character. And he could have been written a bit better. But I think they wanted to highlight the importance of hard work in a hospital. And just because you have a higher intelligence than a lot of people. Doesn’t mean you don’t have to work equally as hard as everyone else.

    • @epaminon6196
      @epaminon6196 Před 7 měsíci

      @@cnote2458 I partially agree with you. In the showy Dr. Cox was at first bewildered (almost infuriated even) by the idea of a lowly intern having enough spare time to frequent the hospital's break room. That alone is toxic AF. But that's something most interns cannot afford to do. Average or below average interns need to fulfill their standard duties and use their spare time to cram for theoretic exams. If they don't cram hard, they fail the exams. Gifted interns with high aspirations spend their potential time to go the extra mile both in the field as well as in the exams to earn the best work reviews and the best grades to get the best positions and promotions the fastest. Gifted interns with modest aspirations can do their due diligence in the field, learn for a fair amount of time to pass the exams with relative ease and still have time to spare to enjoy their free time. Your thoughts?

    Dr. Cox already knew he was going to fire Ed. It was just a matter of 'when'. Katie was asking to be torn a new one by any veteran staff member for her attitude. Denise is the best in her group, just needs a little help being a bit more empathetic rather than apathetic. I have worked in medical settings, and it is rewarding as it is cutthroat. The patients don't need our drama affecting their care. The personal drama needs to be kept to a bare minimum as the patients expect professional care to help them recover. In turn, they also need to remember that hospitals are staffed with humans, not magical miracle workers.

    I'm grown up now, but I still visit Sesame Street through CZcams. It was a part of my childhood growing up in the '90s. I wasn't born when it first aired in 1969, but I loved it! It was where I first learned my letters and numbers and to be kind to people. I still miss Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert and Ernie, Elmo, and everybody. I love the new Muppets they introduced. Abby Cadaby, Julia, and others. And the songs from Sesame Street including this one, "Sing," and others still spin in my head. So every now and then, I go back to visit everyone on Sesame Street. It takes on a whole new meaning as an adult. I will share the show with my future kids. Great Job Joshua and the cast of "Scrubs for a great cover of my favorite theme from my favorite childhood television show!

    Looking back I wonder what the hell the show runners where thinking when they introduced the new interns. These were supposed to replace JD and we were supposed to like them?! Their characters never became likable and unlike characters like Kelso or Cox they never established why they acted so horribly. We always saw where Cox came from when ranting at JD and when Kelso acted "evil" it was atleast so over the top we could laugh at it when it bit him in the ass later. The best thing that came out of them is the scene where they fired Ed. Which was well deserved but only happend because the actor wanted to be on parks an rec since it was a brand new show while scrubs was ending.
