What made it so intriguing was how well Vigo played the quiet town man until his hand was forced. Should make people think twice about who they disrespect or threaten, you just never know. Great reaction my brother, if you enjoyed this you'd also enjoy Eastern Promises which also stats Vigo Mortensen. Cheers! 👍
This is a fantastic movie, definitely the most conventional film from David Cronenberg who is one of my favorite directors.
What else did he do?
@@solvingpolitics3172 Videodrome, Naked Lunch, The Fly (1986), Crash (1996), Scanners, The Brood, eXistenZ… he’s a master of his craft!
Don’t forget the Dead Zone.
Cool reaction! To one of Cronenberg's very, very best. Quite a unique movie.
I think the sex scene is one of the best ever made. :D It's a) super-primal (like the violence) and b) fascinating character development.
The most realistic, too. It was hard to think they weren't really doing it
My favorite comment from a fan about the Diner scene: “ Too late for them. As they were lying their dying it flashed through their heads that they were nowhere near being the scariest, most dangerous people on the planet .”
"HOW DO YOU **** THAT UP ? "
I think of that scene frequently while watching the news. :D
Almost forgot, not sure if you have ever seen the original GET CARTER (1971) but if you haven't you might want to give it a view.
I've always like this movie overall, but I feel like it's too short. Even at it's run time which is average for movies, it still feels like they could have done more. Had a few more scenes, like 20 minutes more
David Cronenberg has made several movies with Viggo Mortensen, Eastern Promises and a movie that came out this year called Crimes of the Future, which I haven't seen but sounds very... Cronenberg.
An amazing and incredibly underrated movie. Based on a scale of 0-5 from the movie. I give this 4.5 out of 5 “Grudge “F’s” on the stairs!
Please react to Cronenberg's EASTERN PROMISES where Viggio has an epic fight scene(no spoilers).
I second the motion; a film that's always lurked in the background, but it's got heart showing through the red haze.
This movie surprised me. So intense
Good movie, great reaction!
Have you ever watched the animated series Archer? There is a season opening episode that incorporates the beginning of this movie in the beginning of the episode.
Technically, this is a comic book movie.
Awesome reaction, can you please watch a movie called THE FOUNDER.
Where do you rank Never Say Die in the Sabbath catalog?
I feel I'm far to much of a casual enjoyer of their music to attempt to rank their work, but from that album I enjoy "Never say die" , "Shock Wave" and "Air Dance" in particular.
@@ThatIndieGeekGuy Shock Wave rips! Great reaction. If you haven’t seen much Cronenberg, his 2000s work is very interesting. Like you mentioned, he has this reputation for The Fly. Much of his early career was man vs scientific advancements. Around this time he started looking at man vs man. Eastern Promises is his opus from this era but I do enjoy how he operated in the small confines of this film.
Great reaction and video. However, I think this movie is hot garbage that should have never been made. Keep up the good work and thanks for making these videos for us. But this movie fucking sucks
Why? What makes it hot garbage?
Lol
