I attended a memorial for Father Jack most recently. It was a beautiful candlelit service and that godly light was provided by Jack himself with candles sculpted from all his excess earwax

Shame that I havn't been able to watch this since my beloved Grandfather died, he always did the absolute best impressions of father Jack Hacket :) often he could be heard shouting DRINK! as he reached for the brandy, not that he would often pour one. It was his fluffy white head hair that made him so convincing, It seems that now that the pain is a little bit less fresh the good memories more than make up for the bad, how can we have good memories at all without a few bad ones. Suppose we can't let a few bad experiences destroy all the joy that life has to offer.
Commedy is so very undervalued. I bet ww2 would be a different story without Laurel and Heardy or Chaplin
The playing chess memory is arguably my favourite moment in the show.
