@@melpineda7635well, you can build your own frame at any time for anything in the world. However you still need bearings, a seat, steering, tires, etc. The person in the video just showing how one would go about putting the most basic necessities together for it to work properly. Everything else you would like to add is all optional, but these things are a must have for it to not malfunction.
if he would have gone for that steering wheel with BMW logo, I would have taken a loan and bought a 72'' TV to watch this video because what am using right now is an understatement to the skills he has.
It is fantastic. One exception: the floor needs more support. It relies only in a couple of screws. You need to reinforce it, especially for your off-road adventures. All the best!
Need more screws ? Are you kidding ? Did you see how many screws he used on each side of that floor panel ? It looked like every one to two inches !! And that floor panel looked plenty heavy !!
@@davidlewis620 I wasn't talking about the screw number. That go-kart needs at least another piece of tubing in the middle of the floor, front to back, to add more support to that floor. The screws he used are not thick enough to make it in off-road conditions like he was doing in the video. In the end, it is up to him whether he wants to consider my advice or not. No offence there!

Im not sure about the Komatsu machine, but the rest of his workshop you might be able to get for $5,000-$10,000 (not including the building, its his house i guess) in Vietnam which is where he lives lol.
Its a awesome development i remember doing a similar project as my final year mechanical engineering project designing and fabricated a compact car with a auto engine on is back... But your project is a bit cooler but the only flaw i found that the lack of differential unit for the rear wheel set only one wheel is powered which will not do you any good if you use this on a uneven surface bro... Also equip the front brakes as well

Most people start something like this like "I have a spare engine and a welder lets do this" this guy is like I have a spare engine, frame, hardware, bearings, a couple different choices of wheels and steering wheels, Full suspension, rack and pinion steering fully assembled...
Just my suggestion, but I would have added an angled cross bar from rear upper frame near rear shocks to the bottom of the upright for added support for that assembly the shocks are bolted to. After awhile those welds are going to break or bars bend without those angled supports.
When I was a kid, my brother and I got a mini-bike. 3HP engine (Tecumseh) and a centrifigal clutch.....but we were never told about greasing the bearing, and sometimes it would 'gall' and grab... I would often take the little dipstick out of the crankcase and drop a few drops of oil onto the housing of the clutch so I could at least ride it. My dad was never any help and we knew no one who could explain what was going on.,...Now I see these YT video guys who have all the parts that one would ever need, all the tools, and no worries at all. And they wonder why we don't follow their channel. It's just like a corporate-sponsored fantasy land... The truly sad thing is that they have the nerve to calls this a "TUTORIAL".....Yeah, right...it's a tutorial, when all the parts are already made available to you and all you're doing is just assembling them. There is no craftsmanship here, just a bunch of chinese-made parts filling the shelves and being brought out one at a time to assemble something. Period. ...and they have the nerve to call this the "Creative Channel" ... What a joke.
ok apart from the huge parts store, this guy works in a totally different way from how I work (I build race cars) , my design is complete before I start, he has the design in his head and assembles/ fabricates all mixed up. my comment on design: 1 the rear frame carrying top of rear dampers needs a diagonal brace. 2. it needs a brake that works! its very heavy, all that 6 mm steel plate must weigh 25 kgs. apart from that, he is a talented fabricator and I would give him a job !

That rear end suspension is not going to last long. There’s no angular bracing for the top of the rear struts bracket to go against the upward dynamic force. It flexed when he welded the top struts brackets and bounced when he was hopping in it. Accident waiting to happen.
i know absolutely nothing about engineering welding or build motorized karts but this would have to be the Internets best video of how NOT to build a Go Kart

Его задумка - это существенно более мощный и продвинутый карт, если конечно это можно ещё назвать картом. Кажется, это нечто похожее на Formula 3. Я бы тоже хотел что-то такое сделать, но нет знаний, опыта и пространства для такого проекта. Не понятно даже с чего начать, разве что купить готовый карт и попытаться воспроизвести самостоятельно.
This might look easy. But it’s much harder than u think, plus these go karts are cheap to maintain unlike a 4 by 4 rock crawler that is bigger than a car.
What is so hard to understand? It's frankly straightforward. He made the simplest design you can come up with... I don't see how you can still wonder what to do, everything is detailed from the frame to the pedals' installation.

Come on, the design have big flaws (mainly rigidity and driving position) and the welds are just okay. Most DIYers with these parts and a MIG welder can do as good.

Nice project. But, the heading should be something along the lines of, "Build a 250cc go cart at home......" "Ahhh...At my home....." "Ahhh...at my home next to the warehouse where they store everything you could possibly need to build, restore or construct anything with wheels from 1900- The Foreseeable Future that is gas powered, electric powered or foot powered". Wait, that's almost as long as the total ad time for this go cart! Still, nice project.

I like the proportions. Tuned predator 212s are used in cyclekarts all the time. This motor is stock power which matches this kart PERFECTLY.

The reason for one wheel drive is for a differential effect, one wheel can spin faster than the other for steering

Come on, the design have big flaws (mainly rigidity and driving position) and the welds are just okay.
Most DIYers with these parts and a MIG welder can do as good.

@@jamesp7351 I did and they are impressive, they built the crosscart and I must say its nice. And I also watch rather be welding and red beards garage. I watch all these to give me ideas to build my off-road go-kart.

Yeah those rear welds on the top that the rear suspension is mounted too are going to break. You can literally see them bending when you sit on it.

Nice project. But, the heading should be something along the lines of, "Build a 250cc go cart at home......" "Ahhh...At my home....." "Ahhh...at my home next to the warehouse where they store everything you could possibly need to build, restore or construct anything with wheels from 1900- The Foreseeable Future that is gas powered, electric powered or foot powered". Wait, that's almost as long as the total ad time for this go cart! Still, nice project.
Most millennial's can't even change a car tire and are devoid of any skill. Watching this kid brought a tear to my eye. Great job dad.
