Bring him back, The disrespect on David De Gea is a disgrace.
He's so good that he's training at Altrincham
@@spacedoge6540 Better than Onana.
@@user-jc8kh2ny8n c'mon everyone tall is better than this clown
@@spacedoge6540 he is better than onana by miles
@@ROMEO10-10i donât believe that
Despite how Manutd treated him in his finals days, he still rejects any interview request out of respect for the club. Class act really :)
Meanwhile the unintelligent masses: Well he didn't play now, didn't he? No club wants him.
Should have taken the opportunity to blass them and stand up for himself smh
@@shuraamano he was approached by Sevilla, Girona and Some Saudi clubs but he declined
â@@ssjxnpretty sure it was salary issueđ they can't afford him
Yeah it's called signing an NDA, obviously you are underage or unemployed but signing an NDA means you cannot discuss anything about your previous job.
375,000 pounds a week. He deserved every cent. 10 years with the club. His saves earned us at least 15 points every season. One of the worst decisions by the club ever to push him away. Sad,
FFP regulations
Do you forget the fax event?
I can't agree more. There's a reason i never faulted him for his mistakes during his off periods because while they were downright awful at times and easily worth dropping most goalkeepers for he had more than earned the right to have a bad season or two. The sheer amount of times that man has saved shots he had no business stopping in a United shirt is unreal. We had some of the worst defences at times just conceding shot after shot and good chances too not questionable shots from sketchy positions, and De Gea just managed to keep the ball out of the next in some of those seasons
@@shivdmanwii best United player in the past 10 years.
come on, every cent? no player is worth that lmfaooo
Goalkeepers are without a doubt the most disrespected and underrated positions in all of football
As good as he was in the club, he kinda sucked in the national team.
â@@gold9994 I mean, you have to admit everyone kinda sucked in Spanish national team đ€·đœââïž
@@marcysai146 yep, true lol. They peaked at 2012.
De Gea shouldve inherited Casillas' spot in the Spanish team. Idk why the fuck the coaches never called him. He was so goddamn good. Probably still is! Such an underrated goalkeeper.
Well, simply put, he was called up regularly with Spain in his early career, then proceeded to make several game-costing mistakes with the national team match after match (which was and still is quite inexplicable), and never got called again after that.
He was called for spain until he played a world cup where he did a total of 0 saves in 4 full matches. Every single shot was a goal.
@@spanishcrabthatâs factually inaccurate
@@simgarfu you're correct, he continued to be called, but almost didn't play anymore. It was clearly the reason why he stopped being considered as the main goalkeeper
@@spanishcrab he def wasnât at his best for the national team, thatâs for sure. I donât think anyone would disagree with that. In fact, since Casillas, I donât think Spain has had a consistently strong gk
Heâs earned enough money to never work again
But he absolutely has the ability to play again if he chooses to
@@notfunny007 ofc he does but for what? he's been at the top level so he's not going to want to step down to a worse team, even going to saudi or the mls would just be for money which he doesn't seem to care about. There isn't really any spots available for him at any top Champions League teams at the moment so looks like to me he'll retire.
@@garystill1308 same. He's been spending time with his family and will always be a legend
In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, Bastian Schweinsteiger revealed that David de Gea had asked him if he was better than Manuel Neuer. Schweinsteiger responded, âNo, you are not. Itâs a different level.â He explained that Neuer, considered one of the worldâs best goalkeepers with an impressive career and numerous titles, plays at a higher level. De Gea was somewhat upset by this response, but Schweinsteiger stood by his opinion, even after de Geaâs outstanding performances. Additionally, Schweinsteiger criticized Manchester Unitedâs team performances and their then-manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Sounds like sour grapes given Schweinsteiger did not have a good spell at Man utd
Ask the same Schweinsteiger who the best midfielders in the world are, and he'll say Micheal Ballack and Toni Kroos. đ
The thing is, itâs really been exaggerated how âbadâ he is with his feet by everyone. Itâs not THAT bad. Heâs just not that 11th outfielder. Maybe this makes him less desirable for a top team, but there are plenty of top goalkeepers who arenât as good with their feet. Nick Pope was arguably the best in the league last season, and heâs nothing special with the ball at his feet. Areola has been one of the best this season, and heâs a classic shot stopper, too. It doesnât help that De Gea is terrible rushing off of his line as well, so that makes it worse, but I think heâs just been treated this badly cuz he played for United for so long. It was the right time for him to be let go. He made too many mistakes in his last season. Especially shot stopping mistakes, which is where the line was drawn. However, I hope he finds the right team to suit his style, and he continues his career at least into his late 30s. He was still making better saves than any other keeper in the world last season. His reflexes are not human.
Nah his last season was really good, it was the season two seasons before that he wasnât that good.
But he recovered really well, I think the problem is that he just canât get of his line that well, from corners I mean, 1v1 heâs pretty good at.
@@VirkStar321 I agree with the rest of your statement, but his last season was awful. So many mistakes. West Ham, Brentford (I think that's the right team), and Sevilla are just a few examples. He had lost his confidence completely.
@@oscarjenkins7505 him and onana have some Extreme Reflexes like their insane
He is a conundrum
He would fit perfect for bad clubs as a shot stopper
But he wont go there probably
Iâd rather have a great shot stopper than a midfielder play in goal (like Onana). Idk why modern coaches get a hard on for ball playing gkâs who can barely stop a shot. Just put fucking Modric in goal if you want a passer so much.
De Gea was easily one of the best keepers United have ever had. I grew up watching United in the 90s fielding stoppers such as Les Sealey (RIP), Gary Walsh and the great Peter Schmeichel, and all the rest who filled in between then and now (Barthez, Taibi, Bosnich, Van Der Gouw, Howard, Carroll, Romero et al). But De Gea ranks in the top 3 I would say, alongside Schmeichel and Van Der Sar. It's bizarre that he's now a free agent.
Van Der Sar has to be on that list of the top 3 surely
Schmeichel/vd Sar had walls in front of them .. Stepney has a shout .. I agree with de Gea .
These former United players are the end of their former club
Our keeper since I was a kid. Walking into Old Trafford and seeing Onana standing in his place was such a strange sight.
Years of him saving us - and we just let him go. There should have at least been a proper send off for him.
2 main reasons why De Gea left:
1. Harry
2. Maguire
I have been wathcing united over the years and lets just say that de gea doesnt need to play the ball with his feet because united cant play out from the back, however onana who has proved elsewhere he can play with his feet but he doesnt at united and his half the shotstopper de gea is
Agree, itâs not like when we signed Onana this season his ball playing ability actually helped the team. We still had players like McTominay and AWB and Lindelof that just to name a few that actually plays in positions thatâs very important in the build up phase and theyâre are not the best with the ball. It actually made us worse since De Gea is undoubtedly STILL one of the best shot stopper even last season, Onana had been decent recently but he still had a lot of shots he faced that De Gea could easily save and Onana also costed us the UCL knockout qualification
Transfer for a downgrade and same long ball tactic.
brother this is amazing content. subscribed
Super Dave is a United Legend who saved us through the shite post Fergie era! Thank you Mr. De Gea!!! Glory Glory Man United!!!
The disgusting way this United legend was treated by the club is unforgettable. De Gea will remain one of the greatest goalkeepers in the Premier League history. Onana on the other hand is. 28 year old âseasoned ball-playingâ goalkeeper who cant play with his feet not save shots. Horrendous positioning, technique, zero potential growth.
calm down, in a world where Neuer was in his prime, De Gea was never more than the best in england
Dave was the best in the world at shot stopping for a good 3 to 4 years
@@avisen9803 de Gea was not even in the top 3 at shot stopping, and certainly nowhere near the best GK as a whole.
@docburton8923 1 time fifa pro 11 inclusion already nullifies your statement of never ... and you just heard legends like Sir Alex call him best in the world so your and my opinion doesn't even matter! .. i just kw he was the best in that 3 4 yr span watched him week in week out!
If that fax machine did work. Dude could have many fifa pro XI inclusion and UCLs xd
Point to be noted - Madrid never gave a fck about ball playing GKs still doesnt. Get the best shot stopper and win trophies.
Fraud GK he was overhyped
What a great appreciation video to one the goats. Definately missed.
Bro you deserve like a million subs. Such quality content
Much appreciated đȘ

My man đ
I donât understand how de Gea an elite goalkeeper has been without a club for literally a year. Isnât he what 33 years old. I totally forgot about him. The last time he played a competitive game either for club or country was June 3rd 2023 in the FA Cup final for Manchester United which proved to be his last ever game for the club, since then he has been a free agent and there isnât any signs of him finding a new club.
Ever since cristiano did that to him in 2018 he was never the same đą
True man, I was having the same opinion about De Gea. In that 2018 WC Spain vs Cristiano aka Portugal match, Cristiano may have killed that OP GK part of De Gea.
That match broke his confidence
Wrexham adventure would be great for him and the exposure his esports company would get.
The fact that United even had Tom Heaton as a substitute goalkeeper this season and chose to let De Gea go, even without giving him the secondary role is disgrace in itself.
United should bring him back this season, at least he won't cost half of what Antony cost us with his shit
It is silly to just say that De Gea's unemployed status is the result of the "game changing"- as easily as you made the compilation of pundits and players speaking wonders of him, you could make a compilation of his fails and blunders at his last two seasons with United and Spain. He wasn't the same top tier goalkeeper anymore
It is true though, at least for elite teams they can afford to build better back lines that reduce chance quality getting past... and an extra ball player is a massive edge tactically
@@avgaming4093 Keyword being "elite". I don't understand if DeGea is waiting for a big team to call him, his salary aspirations are way too high or overall not even middle table teams want him and he refuses to retire at some low tier league. Probably a mix of all.
So you change a keeper you claim make too many blunders with the goalkeeper that has made the most errors leading to goals for the last five years, 7 in the champions league alone. If you don't make it out of your group that's an error every 4th game. We bought the cat in the bag, he's barely beyond average with his feet, and that's supposed to be his strength.
@@stian56 It might sound weird but, perhaps and just perhaps they changed a unreliable, aging keeper for a young, at that point considered good keeper? Onana is a tremendous flop, but that doesn't make DeGea any better nor younger.
Good with feet will only help in initial stages of a tournament or in league matches. To be good on the line is still the mainstay of goalkeeping. In tight games and in late stages of a high profile tournament like champions league or world cup having a goalkeeper who is good with his foot is rather a curse. It is always the team having the better shot sopping goalkeeper that will have an advantage, not the keeper sweeper.
How is it possible for real to not want this guy to be in the goal for you
He doesn't have much time left as a playwr. Its unbelievable that nobody ahs taken a shot at trying to sign him.
David degea is a stronghold wall in man united and andre onana has lot to learn how to be a good goalkeeper and it has his personal potential.
Ten hag's handling of de gea is one of two reasons i want him sacked by all means.
considering how united have been playing this season iâd say they desperately need him back đ
De Gea is a freaking Legend of the Club. One of the best goalkeepers in the prem period.
But best goalkeeper of the world is a strech. Casillas, Neuer, TerStegen, Courtois, Alisson Ederson have all been on the same or higher level with some of them having better abilities on the ball.
Dave saves ... the best shot stopper the world has ever seen
Bring the man to MLS.
Hot take here but I think De Gea and Juan Mata would make great free signings for McKenna at Ipswich Town, bringing some much needed experience to up the Championship/League One level players game.
Not a bad idea but I donât see Ipswich paying plus at least 200k wages for either player
Right now if de Gea wants to continue, he must go to MLS or LigaMX, in Europe its gonna be hard because his age.
0:55 David De Gea can save the fu**in Titanic.
You state tgat football has changed considerably in the past ten years. That may well be true, but the introduction of a goalkeeper that functions like an extra defender was done in 1974, when Jongbloed became the goalkeeper of the Dutch team as a request of Johan Cruyff, above the legendary and far superior Jan van Beveren, as well as the slightly superior Piet Schrijvers, because of his ability to participate as an extra defender ;).
Later in the 90`s, when he became a manager of Ajax and Barcelona, he always selected goalkeepers that were also good footballers

The best goalkeeper in the world? This guy was played off the park in the FA Cup Final against Man Cities no.2
yes he had his bad days, but !!! In most of the matches he saved the day in last season with United.
"Mucho suerte" Van der Sar tried hard there
He was never the best keeper in the world. He was barley the best keeper in the Premier league. But he was still way too underappreciated.
best shot stopper in the world if he had good skills on the ball he could have won the ballon dor
What happened to the best goalkeeper in the world? His name is Manuel Neuer and he is still playing for Bayern and the German national team. De Gea has never even been close to his level.
Bring him back.erik did not work with onana.david was a leader .he didnt allow shit from his front 4.should of never done what united did to him .he was a leader from the back and went to the midfield and worked up into the rest of the team.
I miss de gea #degeaâ€â€â€
Became very error prone, but he could still have played for a mid table PL team such as wolves or spurs if he cut his wages
He only had issues when Maguire showed up.
I recon soon every player will be asked to rotate in goal.
Not a utd fan but he was a good keeper, and I think he may do well at Newcastle if the move comes, just look at the improvement of Nick Pope with his feet, he is not world class, but he was probably the worst in the league, now he is more comfortable. As you mentioned 33 is a ridiculous age for a keeper of that class to hang up his gloves. As long as he as a stinker against Arsenal I don't care where he goes really, just hope he finds somewhere.
Only 3k views on this video is crazy, super underrated đ„
He was the difference between a European Competition and 8th position đđ
Ah fair play on the clickbait, but thereâs never been a point where De Gea was the best in the world.
He was some time in the World Class. But never the Best in the world.
yea he was probably never no.1 but in the 2010s he was definitely top 3 maybe jus missing out
To answer the question in your title: He's *still* at Liverpool FC. đ
let him take couple of months off the game, reload his mind, spend time with the family and then get back into beast mode
Why tha eff did the owners do him dirty!!!!!!!!? It real pissed off his teammates.
He should join mls
Used to save them so many points
de gea is pretty good coming from a liverpool fan
He certainly didn't make it onto this video's thumbnail đ
Onana can be the back up keeper
job market is tough all around...
Disgraceful how United treated him.
Maybe his 10 drops last season has something to so with it
You have 10 foolish players who canât play the ball properly . But the main issue is not having a keeper that can ??????? Make it make sense
now they have a keeper who can play the ball with his feet but can't save.
Remember when Real Madrid wanted you and you made a fool out of Florentino.
ball playing GKs are overrated. so long as you can play a long ball or simple pass.
Maguire was his cancer
there was no point in degeas career where he was better than neuer.
Roy Keane went from "best goalkeeper in the world" to "most overrated goalkeeper in the world"... That pretty much sums up that fuckin bloke
I wouldn't take anything seriously from anyone wearing a "black lives matter" pin.
He should have fixed that fax machine himself. That was his mistake.
He should play in Spain
Now do a video on the mistakes De Gea made?
I prefer him to Onana though 100%
Harry Maguire happened.
His fax arrived late.

Bring the gladiator back
he can come to birmingham city
i think homeboy is just taking a year off, if i had the money i would too
Damn
He has 50m in the bank. I'm sure he's got other interests ..
Then comes 2018 World Cup. And he conceeded the easiest goals....
Im sure hes been offered contracts but is unrealistic in what he wants to earn
Honestly though i blame him. We all know how good he is yet he clearly has no desire to play again, weak mentality
I was really sad to see him go. He's such a wonderful goal keeper .
Our current goal keeper has been shambles with his antics
Wrexham needs players, and so does Spursđ
the best goalkeeper In the world In ENGLAND
Onana is not as good as De Gea, very sad situation for a goal keeper of his stature and track record
The best keeper in the world is currently playing for Liverpool
Now show all his gaffs
not up to par with alisson in my book but still miles better than onana and way colder in goal, covid fucked this guy over
Do you remember when the question was - Him or Neuer ? - Pepperidge Farm remembers. Never a question, Neuer is the Goat of Goats
English media pundits love to make pompous claims
I think part if the problem is he got greedy with his wafes snd then got lazy
When was he the best keeper? My guy forgot manu neuer.
He is certainly a world-class goalkeeper, but he is certainly not and was not the best goalkeeper in the world.
Dam that suck because not even the small clubs want him
He turned down multiple offers this season. He took a year out.
Nah small clubs want him itâs just his wages.
So, when do you actually start taking about the best goalkeeper in the world?
Alexander?
Excellent keeper, but was never the best goalkeeper in the world and will never be until Neuer retires.
