I’ve got the shark 2 n 1 as well but without the self emptying feature but thing little guy has been an absolute game changer for my wife and I, with the kids and dogs constantly running in and out of the house our floors stayed dusty looking because there’s just not enough time in the day to always sweep and mop, but now with this we just push a button and slit takes care of all of it I highly recommend this machine

Thank you for this review. I have ruggable rugs and as you know they aren’t cheep. I have had lots of vacuums that were not compatible with them and I will not give up my rugs, especially with 2 kids, 2 dogs, and living on a farm. I was so excited when I saw you had the same rugs. Glad they passed the test.

In the market for a robot while prime I going on but having a hard time picking kinda want one that doesn’t have to have bags for the vaccine. The dream tech was the one I was looking at with spinning heads that empties the water and the vaccine but it takes bags I’m seeing. Are you still happy with this one? You like the mopping feature? Having to fill it?
I have been very happy with this vacuum! The biggest reason I went with this one is that it is self-emptying, and it has been AMAZING! I love this vacuum, it has been life changing for real 👏🏻

Really great review! Thorough and well paced with great photography and editing. I've never seen one of your videos before but did just buy this unit yesterday at the Amazon Prime Day price you note, so the timing is excellent. One very minor comment, though I know the answer because I did my homework: Shark has many, many models and model numbers. You might mention your model number, which I believe to be the AV version and not the previous RV version. Keep up the great work!

It was very quiet on vacuuming. It was super loud on emptying into the bin. She was confused bc it emptied first thing out of the box, but at the end she said how quiet it actually is.

I did find I can start a mopping job for a specific area while on the base then before it leaves base I carry it to specific room. I hit Resume in app and It will then clean the area but you will have to be there to carry back to base or it will try go home after the job is done. But this does work to clean a room that has carpets in the way. Cheers
So far so good - It does a pretty good job in my kitchen, living room, and dining room on pet hair, kibble, and crumbs. I schedule it to vacuum every day at 9 a.m. But what's the best way to also mop? Set a separate schedule for that, or set it to clean manually when I want to mop?
I would personally set it up manually and be present when it mops! Often times I need to move things prior to it mopping, and then move them back into place after its done lol

I don’t not see a mop option on my app. Just clean. Additionally mop pad will not get wet. Are you having these issues?

How do u tell it to switch ti moping mode?
Can you mop different floor ? Vaccum is not a problem, but ive try with mopping and its bugging

I know right?! It definitely exceeded my expectations!
I have the same unit with mapping but without moping ..The problem is it is missing some areas. I re mapped the area at least 3 times and still missing some areas...Not happy with it

I just got mine i love it but was bummed that the mop part dont have self empty have to put the vacume one on
Yay glad you got one! The mop doesn’t require a self empty as it uses the pad for mopping up the liquid 😊
Good review :) One question, in the shark app with the mop attached, is it supposed to still only show a "clean" button or should it say "mop", i only seem to see ultramop on the spot section?

When I mapped my house it left out rooms, which I added but when I try to send to a room it goes somewhere else, it skips areas & then goes to another room or back to where it’s already cleaned. 🤦🏻♀️ I really want it to work but I am getting so frustrated
Hang in there! There’s a bit of a learning curve with this thing for sure. I have fully figured it out now after having it for a month and it has been a total game changer!

I haven’t tried anything besides what they recommend. I believe that might void the warranty though!

Nope! The mopping feature is for hard floors 😊
I have a question. The roller piece keeps coming off. It happens when it goes over thresholds. Did i miss something?
Make sure there is a screw holding on the plastic piece where the roller is housed. Your brush bar shouldn’t easily come unattached unless it isn’t screwed in.

My Shark AI Ultra 2 in 1 Robot, fits under my cabinets, but it doesn't seem to go up close to the bottom of the cabinet. Anyone else have that issue - should I try re-mapping?
Remapping is worth a shot! I have the same issue with the bottom step on my stairs. The vacuum doesn’t get too close to it unfortunately, but it does great along the baseboards. It might just be how the vacuum reacts to kick board type of areas

I want to upgrade to this 2 in 1 model after winning the XL self empty at an auction. It really exceeded my expectations of how well it worked. So, I really want the added mop feature. The thought if both vacuuming & mopping no longer being another time consuming & frustrating task is worth it to me.
One question I have is there any way that this product could work for more than one floor? Would the base have to be moved & map reconfigured each time it changed floors? If not, I would say this is a something I would put in the negative column.

Hi there! I believe you would have to have a second vacuum for a second floor, I am not 100% sure though. I haven’t tried to sync my Shark to our second story.
Hello, I know this is an old post but if you havent gotten one yet and you have the patience to wait till prime day, I was able to get mine for $300. I purchased during Prime day when it was the deal of the day. Hope this helps.

No, I believe you need the app for the vacuum to work

🤔 Hmm, when mine is fully charged the charging icon is greyish, so that is likely. However, you will need to install the app to run the vacuum and set up wifi and all that 😊
Where does the dirty water go? How do you empty?
There is no dirty water tank or anything like that. The pad that does the mopping absorbs all the dirt and water. It does an amazing job!

Is it true it can only map out 1 floor?
I haven’t tried to map a second floor, but I believe they’re meant for one floor. You would probably have to purchase a second one for upstairs

@@kateschwanke i guess in theory, if moved to another level in your house, u could just delete, then remap it, using the upstairs as its stored map.. a bit of a pain, but would probably work

Has anyone tried to save the floor plan configuration on the Matrix or other Shark model from your phone to the hard drive on your lap top or desk top computer( i.e. first floor). Then re-configure a lower level or upstairs plan on the robot by deleteing the first one and then save it as well on the hard drive. Then be able to choose which to re-load back into the robot - allowing both or all three to be mapped so you could switch from one to the other depending on which floor you wanted to vacuum? I understand from the u-tube videos that the robot app can only hold one configuration at a time
