It's probably a contract reason why Dana isn't pushing Jones/Aspinal. If Jones only has 1 more fight, and he's already signed legally for Stipe, then he has a ton of leverage against Dana to fight Aspinal. It could be that Dana doesn't want to let the fight through because he'd rather not pay Jones a new bid.

Problem is these Russian guys only want to fight 1 time a year and in the middle east only. The champ fights whenever the champ wants and wherever the Cham wants. He earned that right. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought not long ago this fight wss offer to Onkslaev but he turned it down since it wasn't in Abu Dhabi and it wasn't when he wanted to fight. THE reason why Dana is so adamant about Jones has nothing to do with Jones OR Aspinal. It is all about Francis. Francis was the undisputed baddest man, then made a fool of Dana by leaving, and Dana has been trying to make everyone forget ever since. Francis was THE man, but hes gone now, so Jones HAS to be the man because he was supposed to fight Francis. Its all about Danas own ego.
