Hogwarts Legacy is a huge open world RPG set in the wizarding world that was established in the Harry Potter books in the 1800's. You are a new fifth year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You can see traces of ancient magic that others can't and you must stop a villainous goblin called Ranrok from wielding this magic.

As someone who has never watched harry potter, I avoided this game for a long time. Now here I am, 150+ hours into the game, having every single collectible and done every single side quest. Absolutely loved the game, the story was definitely touching and left an empty feeling when it ended, combat system is amazing too: big variety of spells, combos, strategies and etc. A lot of details, great graphics and many secrets to discover. The game is definitely worth it's price.
As someone who has watched the movies and read the books... only 15 hours into this game (only just got my broom), and just smiling through it all. What an enjoyable experience so far.
Don't forget about the phenomenal soundtrack.

I played Hogwarts Legacy four times to try out each house
1. Male Ravenclaw
2. Female Gryffindor
3. Female Hufflepuff
4. Male Slytherin
My sister and I grew up reading both the books and watch the entire movie series. Playing this game actually allowed me to relive my Harry Potter fantasies. If only there was a Lord of the Rings game, Family Guy game or Game of Thrones game that's similar to Hogwarts Legacy in terms of avatar character concept and maybe gameplay. Or perhaps something similar to that of South Park Stick of Truth.
Hell yes, I would 100% support a Hogwarts Legacy style LOTR and Game of Thrones game...but grittier.

I wish they had quidich and flying combat so dragons could chase you dementers other wizards could attack you then it would be a ten out of ten.going underwater doing trials like goblet of fire would be amazing .dlc maybe .dementers where are you Air combat please

And probably more potions and spells. Like Liquid Luck or you need a Bezoar for something. I thought the game was very limited. Very disappointed. Yeah a great tour through Hogwarts but for that you can better make a game suitable for VR that would be some experience...

if youre going to make such a massive game then why not quidditch and why not even a solo game for it? assuredly everyone is dying to play this.. it cant possibly be that difficult..

Console exclusivity killed this game for me, so much behind an arbitrary barrier in order to prop on systems are inferior in almost every way

How does it make sense that you can't fly over towns? And how does it prevent you from doing so?
A barrier appears when you try to fly over places like Hogsmeade

Just got this for my ps5 it was on sale for $30 and so far it’s exceeded that price, I’m not a Harry Potter fanatic but this is an enjoyable game, if you can get passed the voice acting

The Witcher 3 and all DLCs, Tears Of The Kingdom, Monster Hunter RISE and many more look insanely good on switch, but it is surprising we haven’t seen a gameplay of HL on switch yet…

thank you, your review has convinced me not to buy Hogwarts Legacy on the steam sale until it comes down further in price.
Probably don't buy it. I feel I wasted a lot of time doing boring stuff, and I didnt really enjoy it. And by a lot of time, I mean 40 stupid hours. This was over the span of 2 months, and I was so bored playing it. You may enjoy it, but it's basically the same 5 missions over and over and over again. I deleted it the moment I was done with the story, and I usually go for all achievements, but this game was so boring, I just didn't.
Lol.. I felt the same way... until last night. I found it for Xbox series X for $28.99 (Black Friday sale..lol) so I gave in.

@bearpoop720 it's literally on sale, and just because yoy didn't like it doesn't mean other people won't like the story and won't like the aspect of exploration and puzzle solving. Is this a 60 dollar game no, is it a 20 dollar game yes. Is it alright yes, it's an exploration game if you don't like exploration games and puzzles don't play it.
Of course, it is worth it. Play the game and decide for yourself the pros and cons.
The game is like unseasoned chicken there’s no spice it’s bland there’s no immersion the whole game is basically hey random new kid do this favor me for me dialogue is boring story boring they didn’t even add the ability to go to sleep I noticed when one quest requires you to take a class in the morning no attention to detail you can’t fly over mountains for some odd reason only thing that kept me playing was the combat they nailed that this game this game is not worth 70$
Indeed and what about common room. Yeah every common room has a team but besides turning some globes and filling cup of tea there is nothing to do. Even not realistic because there were almost no bathrooms throughout the school. And almost no lessons to attend.

If you played serveral good games and read Harry Potter again and watch the movies. You certainly get disappointed to the game. graphic are good but not great. The world is big that is a plus but the character interaction and movements are bad. Even with the best graphics and smoothest settings it is like a game you would expect made in 2014 instead of 2023... You played Jedi, Horizon or Assin creed your standards about graphics and movement are higher therefore I was really disappointed and sold Hogwarts after a month ... If you want to be a magister but with a better storyline and same graphics but a bigger world, play Dragon Age Inquistion.

Ni no kuni 1 it's still amazing
Hogwarts Legacy is coming to the Nintendo Switch on 14th November so we wanted to create a review in time for the release based on our experiences playing the game on the PS5 and downgraded PS4 versions (sadly, we don't get pre-release review copies of games).
I love Ni No Kuni too but the channel isn't a dedicated Ni No Kuni channel, we try to be diverse...but stay tuned, I do have some NNK vids planned for the future 😁 - Heather

Sadly, I've heard that Mirage isn't that good but I've not played it myself yet. As someone who sucks at stealth and loved the reboot games, I don't think I'll like Mirage! 😅

I played Mirage and that was the worst assassins creed game I played in forever. Horrible story, no character development, boring dialogue, terrible combat mechanics, customization and weapon variety was extremely lacking as well. Finished the game once and deleted it and even on my one playthrough i was waiting for the game to end the whole time
