Thank you! All 21 minutes was packed full of great information from beginning to end❤
That's interesting that the base works with some FOs and not others! I wonder what the component is in the FO THAT makes it not work? I'd be interested in comparing the SDS sheets to see! 🤔
enjoyed this video I wanted to know how to make small size amount to test thank you for showing us about the cloudy parts that was the number one problem everyone was having.
Thank you for doing the deep dive on good and safe products for us! You must be successful in this as the base was sold out when I went to look for it! thanks again for another good video!
Thank you! Yes, the first time I tried to order this base it was sold out as well! I hope they restock soon for you!
Beautiful video.
Can one simply use perfumers alcohol and fragrance of essential oil? Of would the high levels of alcohol cause the oils to dissipate too quickly?
And with the water and poly80
Would an anti bacterial agent be needed?
I typically use perfumers alcohol and oil for room spray and perfume.
I also like using bases from makesy for linen and body sprays.
Update: sorry for the questions. I asked as I was watching so I would not forget then you answered my question after I keep watching 🥰
Videos like this help beginners from making very costly and fine consuming mistakes.
Your hard work and experience is very valuable.
You are welcome! Thank you for watching!
It should also have a preservative so it doesn’t grow bacteria. I use poly 20 and it works better than poly 80 in my experience
Doesn't poly 20 still have clouding?
Most people say 80 every where I’ve seen in my research
She’s using an alcohol base. The alcohol should be a preservative and itself, and she saying she doesn’t like the polysorbates because it makes it one oily and two larger droplets to keep the area.
Wow this is all great info, thank you!
Thank you for this. I wanted to add room spray to my business and I order from Rustic Escentuals so I will def but this in my cart!
You are welcome! You will really like it!
You always do such an thorough and amazing job!!
Thanks for the awesome and thorough explanation.
Thank you for all of the valuable information!🥰
Looking forward to making some.
If you put oil with water it won’t mix also will it stain fabric.
Since the RE base has alcohol do we need to have a license from the TTB to sell our room sprays if we use this?
Thank you so much for the great info and the demos, so so helpful. I was wondering, do you know of a base that does not contain Benzophenone? It appears to be on the prop 65 list. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the great info!
Do you have dog spray creme recipes ?
Thank you so much big help
Would you know how much propylene glycol to add to alcohol to make perfumers alcohol? Asking because perfumers alcohol is not available in my country
You should also be using a preservative I use poly 20 , sorbic acid, distilled water & fragrance
This is an alcohol base, no need for preservatives 😊
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany with your first example, I should have stated that , that’s how I make mine and they do not leave water behind or staining , I also use matte black & white bottles so as long as the recipe works well a little cloudiness is normal
@@Soulful_Spirit_Candle_Co yes, water and oil combos always need preservative.
Hi. do you also put ethanol?
@@syaraathirah7461 who are you asking ? If me no , there is no need for alcohol in the room spray that I make ☺️
When you be stocking this spray in your etsy store?
What is the recipe/rations of using the base you like in a 2oz bottle? Just 95% base to 5% oil?
Cory, Do you still use the catalina perfumers alcohol? I just recieved my gallon in the mail and am planning to make body sprays with it. Is this RE mostly linen, room and closet type spray. I have been using the body spray I bought from you and it has been great and no irritation so just wondering if I need this RE to make body sprays, and maybe linen sprays?
Yes I still use it and love it! The base from Catalina is for body sprays. The one featured in this video is a rustic escentuals base used for room spray.
Why not Polysorbate 20, instead of the 80?
Technically, you can use poly 20 but it doesn't have as much solubilizing power, so you need to use much more of it. It often times is just not strong enough and the oils fall out of solution with the rest of the formula, leaving a ring of floating oils which need to be shaken up before every use.
Just like somebody else had asked - I am curious about the alcohol. I've read you can not ship alcohol based products with USPS, is this true? How do you ship?
I have shipped alcohol based body sprays through USPS. You just need to abide by the shipping rules. Make sure you package them up so they don't leak. But it is okay to ship, to the best of my knowledge.
Some use salt and distilled water only. Any experience with that?
How do u know the fragrance oil that will not work
You read about it or you test your self 😮
Rustic essentials is out of business?
I see them as a part of wholesale supplies plus now.

Rubbing alcohol has a strong smell. Ick.
21 minutes of nonstop talking to say 6 words. 95% base alcohol, 5% essential oil. Edit: Fragrance oil.
This is not TikTok…and if you were listening you would know I didn’t use essential oils 🙄
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Obviously this is not TikTok and I wasn't going to be mean, but now I am. You have a talent for talking without saying anything.
