Some Ozark Mountain Super Shifters from the starting line for First Round of Eliminations during the 2017 Eddyville Night of Fire race at Eddyville Raceway Park.
I started going to this track to spectate in the very early 80's when I was 15 years old, hitching a ride with some local gear heads that were much older than I at the time (still friends with some of them today). When I was still occasionally going to watch at this track in the late 80's, Super Pro cars were running around the 6.80s. Good grief has technology ever changed things!
@@ronyoung6054 You must not have been around in the 70's to watch the hemi cudas through the air for two gears. And even at that time running 10's. They are fast all over the track.

Eddyville is one of my favorite tracks in the country, and one of the nicest 1/8th mile facilities as well. Thanks for watching!
Sounds like the intro to rascal flatts life is a highway lol
Good to see the stick shifts. Wish there was "another" 1/8th mile at the end of the track tho.
yep, I cant stand 1/8th mile dragracing for real cars.....its cool for junior dragsters but not for grown men in real racecars.👍
Not much shifting in 1/8 mile
Hemi's just start running at the eighth, probably why people like half track racing

@@fredc8346 born in 64, I was about 10 year's old at Milan. I run a SS/AH dart stick, 8:60s car. So I know how they look and drive lol 👍
Rather have a few clutch parts littering the track than a couple gallons of atf
You got that right. Anybody can run an automatic down the track.
Will you be at Topeka ks this weekend for the double race? I will be there
Some of these guys need to hook a delay box to a micro switch.
