For clarification: the allies did not bomb the concentration camps for very significant reasons. 1. They were located in East Germany, Poland, and Czechia. Very far from allied air bases. This means they would have to fly all the way over Germany to reach them. 2. The killings in the death camps peaked in 1943, before the Allies could have bombed the camps. If you look at killings in 1944, they are far, far less (magnitudes less) than the year prior. 3. The allies did not have fighters that could escort bombers all the way to Eastern Europe at the time that bombing would have made sense. Most if not all of the bomber crews would have died in the attack. 4. WWII bombers were very immaculate. They essentially had to target entire cities. For example some bombers accidentally bombed Prague during the attack on Dresden. So, in conclusion: the bombers would not have made it to the camps in 1943. By 1944, it was possible, but they would likely kill more people than they would save. Attempting to end the war as quickly as possible by concentrating attacks on German military production and infrastructure was the tactic that Allies believe would save the most victims of the holocaust.

Nice vid, I personally enjoy learning about WW2 more, but I recently covered WW1. I can't seem to grow at all though, it only has like 77 views or something 😄

@@gallyBeats 😂 well, I do have another channel, which took a year abd 4 months to reach 1k subs abd I had to grind for them. Views are really low so I decided to start this channel as an experiment to see how growth is on a new channel that gets off to a good start in life. Most of the subs just came over from the other channel so only a tiny percentage.
