And he is taking literally ZERO damage, while in that mode he can't be killed unless he wants to die, and even then he'll let off an even bigger bomb which may bring him back if it kills a grub enemy.
Exactly this! And possibly the best and most skill dependent Vault Hunter in the game that isn't Salvador (high skill floor but low ceiling, so easy mode)!

@@maverick9275 That doesn't mean that Psycho is a bandit though, they are using the term as an encompassing one. Not the actuality of what a npc is. Why is it that all the other NPC's and actual creators call the Pyscho's a Pyscho. Hell even the hyperion quest for the sniper differentiates them.
predalien1413 to me they’re a bandit but a special kind of bandit. Nomads, psychos, arsonists, etc are all bandits just different classes of bandits. Hence why the other npcs refer to a group of psychos, nomads, etc as “bandits” and don’t name their class specifically.
I recently started playing Borderlands 2 through the Handsome Collection, and one of my friends kept telling me not to pick Krieg. I'm so glad I didn't listen.
Yes and no, kriegs "feed the beast" skill is more for people first time playing as krieg, while if you go down his Hell raiser (or Hell fire i havent checked the skill tree) it takes more skill but you literally wont take any damage from each perk that give you health back for how long an enemy is on fire. Plus if you add his bloodlust skill tree with it hes not only immortal but also tiny tinas wonderful dream come true
@@nsenoh4901 It depends on your choice honestly, for me i always go with hell fire cause before the update with kriegs raging retribution it gave him way more diologue as well as every time you were on fire and got hit it sent heat seeking fireballs giving you more of a chance to stay ablaze while lighting enemies on fire signifying the constant health regen. The bloodsplosion is an added bonus which cause more of an elemental nova blast

I said the same thing a few years back. Ended up testing it and it is 12%. But 12% is actually REEEEEEALLY high when every single hit is a 12% chance to hit yourself. My record is three times in a row (but that's when I died so for all I know, it could have kept going). Incidentally that was the reason I decided to test it out.
Nope.. more a big frown of annoyance when an enemy is here, ripe to be finished off, only for me to hit myself 3 times in a row and end up in Fight For Your Life... I still think the risk is well worth the damage though

the only downside (at least for me) is that sometimes it glitches when i'm not the game host so it dosen't play the sounds of hitting things with my buzz axe if i'm joined to someone else's game
Krieg is my absolute favorite character, he is absolutely insane with Admiral Bahroo's "I'M ON FIRE!" build. You can literally run through the game using NO gear whatsoever. And besides, he has THE BEST dialogue of any other character. Well, Handsome Jack has some damned good dialogue, but you'll NEVER hear HIM yell: "I'M THE CONDUCTOR OF THE POOP TRAIN!!!!"
I play Krieg, my spouse plays Maya. They make an amazing team. I like to spec into Mania, getting Release the Beast and Redeem the Soul. My spouse as Maya has Res, so we can instantly revive one another. What happens is whenever Maya goes into FFYL, I instant revive her which puts me into FFYL, then she instant revives me, which puts me right at 33% or less health, so I can trigger Release the Beast, have about 5 seconds of invulnerability to close the gap to the nearest enemy, and the cycle repeats. If she ever goes into FFYL while I'm in Release the Beast, I just revive her, she revives me, and I start it up again. It's just a completely unstoppable duo for mobbing. Unfortunately melee krieg is ineffective against raid bosses but for everything else it's amazing.
Krieg's probably my favorite character to play. Between the trees, there's a ton of synergy. Just got to level 80 and I'm all the way down the Bloodlust and Mania trees. Being able to spam buzz ax rampage and making enemies around me explode when I kill them is just freakin' awesome. The only real weaknesses I've found are encountering large enemies who have no backup for me to feed upon.
The only thing really someone can legitimately claim is an issue with skill Synergy is that all the trees work together to well, so to use him to his absolute fullest you need to break your save to give him everything. I've done this after I was getting burned out in BL2 and OMG it made normal Krieg builds fill 50 lvls under powered.
harold, jackobs shootgun, hyperion shotgun, gatlin gun, droog, lyuda, pimpernel, bitch, ogre, and many more are guns usable with krieg in case theres is a fire resistant ennemi around
@@dollin971 rather not farm for such weapons plus i prefer to use fire and slag mainly slag because theres a chance ill catch on fire then when they damage me i shoot a fire ball at them whilst slagged which is why i will only be farming the slagga maybe ill try the herald but i have a better chance from a torgue machine

I am just too used to the pseudo immortality that Krieg gets when you take the release the beast perk. Instant health gain, ridiculous melee damage, AND I get it back immediately after it's used up? _Keep me signed up!_
jason condon Kreig and Gaige are my two favorite. I play more of Gaige than Kreig so I keep forgetting that I can reload without losing anarchy when I play Kreig since he dosnt have anarchy. When I switch from Kreig to Gaige I have the the problem of reloading and I get a little cocky getting up close because I forget I'm not playing as Kreig.
@@chaseviking5096 you don't want to go Leroy Jenkins with his ultimate early cause you gonna die real fast...unless you want to die with the pull the pin (I think it's called) where you kill enemies around you for huge xp points which can be good at early levels
@@phantomvulpe791 I found that pull the pin or whatever thing to be very useless. I do agree its good for lower levels but after like around 25 30 it just sucks balls. I normally use krieg when playing alone because other wise the way I set him up its annoying as fuck playing with others.
@@chaseviking5096 that's why I prefer doing it at low levels. Makes things a whole lot more easier to level up. Later on, I would focus on release the beast and hellion.
@@phantomvulpe791 I don't remember what all I had set up for him but it was revolving around the Flame of The Firehawk Shield. I would have Grog Nozzle with that shield and set up. The moment that went off it wouldn't stop till a few blast after not doing damage to anyone and I would never run out of health. It made Krieg OP AF against most enemies. But it also makes him annoying while on 2+ player.
When I started playing as Krieg I just didn't get him at all. In fact I *hated* him! It wasn't until level 30, and then level 60, that I truly understood him (he's OP8). And he then became one of my favourite characters. This is why I love Borderlands 2: 6 characters each with 3 skill trees, and an infinite way to play each of them. Tired of melee? Go explosive. Tired of explosive? Try a bit of everything. Etc etc etc. Infinite replayability, in infinite combinations. *I looked into the heart of darkness...and I ate it all!*
Can't forget that he has one of the best heads for trolling people in Co-op, and it is funny as hell to watch a Krieg slowly march into a bunch of mobs with the bane before he either RtT or whips out the dynamite and starts rampaging.
My buddy as Kreig and me as revive/damage Maya was an amazing combination. Because I could revive him from anywhere in line of sight he could go nuts and be as reckless as he wanted. Killer team for sure. Next we're doing Gunzerker and Assassin
@Eli from Ok gunzerker by himself is too powerful to be considered fair. every time I see a list of hard bosses and recommended strategies, I always see 'just use Sal with Grog Nozzle and DPUH, he'll take care of it'. no shit, that combo can take care of literally every enemy in the game. If I'm looking for strategies I'm clearly not using that otherwise I wouldn't need to
My first two playthroughs of bl2 were as gauge first then zero. It was fun to experience the play style of the "sniper" archetype and the whole anarchy thing with gaige. But that's when I watched the Krieg cinematic trailer "a meat bicycle for two". Never in my life have I wanted to replay a game more. It really sets him up in both play style and character.
Though Krieg can be the least gear-dependent, he can also be the most, like trying to go for a clean kill on Terramorphis, which I like a lot, because it's amazing to see how your hard work into farming for the best Krieg gear pays off greatly.

I played tf2 for a long time before my dad bought me borderlands the handsome collection on steam for me to play it with him (he never cared for TF2) Anyway I always played soldier who can rocket jump. So I tried it in borderlands 2. I died. Explain to me please how you rocket jump in borderlands 2
I consider Krieg my main. He's fun and very powerful. But I definitely still have some problems with him. At level 80, no OP, he does great against general enemies. Like, that's fine and dandy. Against bosses, he struggles. Take the Badassasaurus Rex, or the new Hadarax the Invincible, for example. Krieg has good damage, but he just can't deal enough to make a melee fight with these bosses viable. My other issue with Krieg is with the Silence the Voices skill. The problem often isn't actually the damage you deal to yourself (though it can get very high), it's the fact that it takes significantly longer than a normal melee, and you can't do anything while it's happening. If you get really unlucky, and hit yourself three times in a row (which happens more often than you'd think), you're pretty much screwed unless you have some other item (flame of the firehawk or a grenade paired with grog nozzle) that's killing shit and healing you. If you can put up with lots of stupid deaths because Krieg smacked himself over and over... and over again... and you can deal with big health bosses being really tough, play Krieg. It's lots of fun to bloodsplode and oneshot cronies.
Krieg and Gaige are my mains. I like their cons even though they can be crippling in some situations. Idk i feel like the extra challenge makes them fun and makes you adapt and get better. I dont mind the extra weight on Krieg either since he’s a big ball of muscular mayhem, it makes sense. Also Krieg makes awesome Nipple Salads, so he has that over the other Vault Hunters.
Lucas Jimenez with Gaige I typically go anarchy and elemental with the perk that makes your bullets bounce and roll with some form of jakobs shotgun with a small magazine, a hyperion or etech smg, grog/rubi/kitten, and a torgue weapon, magic missile (x4), legendary mechromancer class mod, an amp shield or shield booster shield. That’s if we’re talking after multiple play throughs and after gearing up pretty well. If we’re talking a new game I go anarchy all the way and focus on shotguns and explosive weapons at close range as much as possible and being a little cheap with spamming the contraband sky rocket or x9 bonus package if it drops to rake in the XP in early game.
Remy I main Gaige. I use a shock Tattler while using her many shock and weapon perks (plus a Bee). They make me feel unstoppable. I just shoot near an enemy, with 600 stacks of anarchy, and watch literally everything in the general area die. She sometimes feels easier to play than Salvador in my opinion.
I love krieg. I bought the handsome collection and Krieg was my first character I love him and his whole play style. I find it hard to play other character because I got so used to playing him.
Definitely..I'm around level 8 or so with Athena in TPS and her stupid shield action skill is so boring and useless compared to Krieg's Buzz Axe and especially with Release the Beast.
Definitely the character I've had the most fun with. It think hes probably one of the best characters for mobbing. He absolutely sucks against flying enemies when you're a melee build though. My favorite character to play as though
Well if you have the hunters grotto DLC then you can get the rough rider which is almost as versatile as flame of the fire hawk. That will get the flames out of your face...
Fuel the rampage is useless if you have release the beast. As long as you transform at/under 33% health (there's a ! Next to your health bar when its there) not only do you become a badass psycho that gets a full bar of health after every kill, but when used this way, BAR is literally back as soon as you return to normal. As long as you keep your health low and a long shield restoration, you can literally keep BAR available FOREVER
The "risk" of Feed the beast can be offset by playing with a team-healing Maya. Other player can damage your shields, but gunshots to health = heal (& they can rez you from a distance)
After spending enough time playing around with Krieg and Maya individually, as well as partners it was clear Gearbox made gameplay reflect game trailers for how much they were made for each other.
i love playing as krieg. i found him more fun to play as than zer0 who was my first character. i just find it so much fun to go with his melee and destroy everyone and everything in my path with the buzzaxe. really hope we get to see him in one way or another in borderlands 3
I recommend using the "Mania" skill tree and maxing out Empty the rage, Feed the Meat, Strip the Flesh, Thrill of the Kill, and get Light the Fuse. After doing this, continue spend the skill points you have/get in "Mania" and get Release the Beast as soon as possible. Melee should be used heavily.
Krieg is the Ultimate embodiment of. "If my enemy is behind and point a gun at my back, I'll just point a gun at me and shoot through so I can kill him"
Krieg is a freaking monster. He's got a very high-risk, high-reward playstyle. You're gonna be getting in much closer to your enemies, intentionally taking damage in order to keep rampaging. Once you've got that down pat, Krieg becomes damn near unstoppable. Unlock the "Release the Beast" perk, and it honestly feels like you're cheating.
to me krieg is really really good because of his survivability because when using release the beast you can refill health by activation and killing, but when its done you can use it again when you are under 33%.this is without hellborn
He’s such a well designed character. He plays exactly like how a playable psycho would play from his look down to his mechanics. I don’t think I’ve played a game that allows you to play a character that is completely based off of enemies you fight. He’s my favorite character in the series.
VinylicPuma, I'm very curious about your ballpark number of total hours played..any idea? You are one dedicated dude, man.. Oh, and in my opinion Krieg is definitely a lot of fun, more so after you get to TVHM. Not really a character you'd want to use your first time playing, but a lot of fun for veterans to play with his min/maxing and unique playstyle options.
I completely agree my first play through was as zero and then I played through again with krieg I'm currently on TVHM right after Roland dies and he is an absolute badass if you build him right but I prefer to play him solo because of how he is built

So far I like him . Maybe im spoiled because maya is sooo good at mobbing and zero is not. He hits a single enemy very hard. I want to get all characters to lvl 72. Just got kinda bored of zero
He's the first character I'm using,and currently it's not very difficult to use,I just don't know what to lvl up xD I'm lvl 22 so I don't know what happens after this
Great video on one of my favorite vault hunters. I will agree with another comment in that it is quite annoying in earlier levels to play with Krieg due to his limited timers and cool down but once you obtain the correct class mod like the blister or crunch and invest in the proper skills, you can practically rampage forever.
I just picked him cause he's fun. Did do a save edit on a Krieg playthrough and having every single skill is pretty wild. A bullet so much as touches you and suddenly you're on fire, have a bunch of active perks and fire balls are killing people left and right followed by them exploding. I'm currently starting another Krieg now that I have the handsome collection.
Y'all nay-sayers need to max out Krieg using Gibbed (except for the silence the voices skill, which is terrible), and run him at full power. He is like a god. When you time your rampage ability with your low health, you not only dodge death every time, but you also mutate and become a sheer juggernaut. Combined with the Legendary Psycho class mod, Blood of the Ancients relic, the Fire Storm or Magic Missile grenades, and the Teramorphous shield, Krieg becomes so OP it isn't even fair. He's definitely the most fun character to run.
I love playing as Krieg. I am not using the hellborn build, but pairing the firehawk shield with my rampage has netted me two infinity pistols, a babymaker, and allowed me to trash wilheml
"Krieg is awful with the bee shield" I disagree, as for me it makes a build where I can do a lot of damage with my guns when I have my shield, and when my shield goes down I can go into the rampage mode and wreck then, with this build I have hardly lost a duel with my friends, the only loss I had was my friend going Salvador with dual Harolds due to that one skill.
I think that Release the Beast also deserves a mention, since the boost to his survivabillity and damage output is incredible, and it really makes you feel overpowered during your TVHM playthrough, and makes you happy that you didn's have to get specific survivability gear for UVHM. It's also incredibly satisfying to have almost 100% uptime on your action skill.
I never really enjoyed krieg until i first got to UVHM with him and really dug into his skills and the synergies he has with a lot of gear thats considered bad on most other characters Krieg has some of the most complex combat loops and micromanaging requirements in the game at endgame For me thats what makes him fun to play
Hey Puma, why not make some character build videos? You know like different skills for different builds for every character? Show each skill step by step and explain why each skill benefits the particular build. That would be much appreciated by BL2 noobs like myself and countless others.
I got a chuckle out of the commando video, seeming as he apparently mains Axton? When he said "do you really need to make your turret stick to walls?" about the mag-lock, and then said that longbow wasn't a good idea because it wastes so much time with the turret falling to the ground, it made me eye-roll hard. He simply never pieced together the idea that you can get the quickest deploying turret (that you can, more or less, place anywhere on any but the largest of maps) that is rendered extra-safe and extra-resilient from enemies by having the extra quick deployment of the longbow (and the substantial bonus health) with the instantaneous deployment of the mag-lock. I take it he doesn't play much online? it is nigh-impossible to have not run into the fearsome double-barreled-slag-mag-lock-phalanx-longbow turret pair ( 26/11/26 being the capstone focus of it) because of how insanely good that build focus is.
Every time I try to farm The Rough Rider as Kreig it just won't drop. But every time I play any other character I always get it. excuse me what the fuck
Everything would be fine, if it wasn't UVHM. The closes character is 9 lvl higher, my weapons are meh and my melee build can't be as good when my shield regenerates. It makes using Release the Beast much easier.

Fuel the rampage can let the other players get you less than 1/3 health , so you can use the relese the beast skill then if you go below 3 1/3 health again you can get an infinite buzz axe rampage!

Krieg is my absolute favorite character, he is absolutely insane with Admiral Bahroo's "I'M ON FIRE!" build. You can literally run through the game using NO gear whatsoever. And besides, he has THE BEST dialogue of any other character. Well, Handsome Jack has some damned good dialogue, but you'll NEVER hear HIM yell: "I'M THE CONDUCTOR OF THE POOP TRAIN!!!!"
I play Krieg, my spouse plays Maya. They make an amazing team. I like to spec into Mania, getting Release the Beast and Redeem the Soul. My spouse as Maya has Res, so we can instantly revive one another. What happens is whenever Maya goes into FFYL, I instant revive her which puts me into FFYL, then she instant revives me, which puts me right at 33% or less health, so I can trigger Release the Beast, have about 5 seconds of invulnerability to close the gap to the nearest enemy, and the cycle repeats. If she ever goes into FFYL while I'm in Release the Beast, I just revive her, she revives me, and I start it up again.
It's just a completely unstoppable duo for mobbing. Unfortunately melee krieg is ineffective against raid bosses but for everything else it's amazing.

Maya is the best partner, but sadly Gaige is the worst with just one skill of hers that is useful for literally everyone else.
Krieg's probably my favorite character to play. Between the trees, there's a ton of synergy. Just got to level 80 and I'm all the way down the Bloodlust and Mania trees. Being able to spam buzz ax rampage and making enemies around me explode when I kill them is just freakin' awesome. The only real weaknesses I've found are encountering large enemies who have no backup for me to feed upon.
The only thing really someone can legitimately claim is an issue with skill Synergy is that all the trees work together to well, so to use him to his absolute fullest you need to break your save to give him everything. I've done this after I was getting burned out in BL2 and OMG it made normal Krieg builds fill 50 lvls under powered.

@@dollin971 rather not farm for such weapons plus i prefer to use fire and slag mainly slag because theres a chance ill catch on fire then when they damage me i shoot a fire ball at them whilst slagged which is why i will only be farming the slagga maybe ill try the herald but i have a better chance from a torgue machine

jason condon Kreig and Gaige are my two favorite. I play more of Gaige than Kreig so I keep forgetting that I can reload without losing anarchy when I play Kreig since he dosnt have anarchy. When I switch from Kreig to Gaige I have the the problem of reloading and I get a little cocky getting up close because I forget I'm not playing as Kreig.
@@chaseviking5096 you don't want to go Leroy Jenkins with his ultimate early cause you gonna die real fast...unless you want to die with the pull the pin (I think it's called) where you kill enemies around you for huge xp points which can be good at early levels
@@phantomvulpe791 I found that pull the pin or whatever thing to be very useless. I do agree its good for lower levels but after like around 25 30 it just sucks balls. I normally use krieg when playing alone because other wise the way I set him up its annoying as fuck playing with others.
@@chaseviking5096 that's why I prefer doing it at low levels. Makes things a whole lot more easier to level up. Later on, I would focus on release the beast and hellion.
@@phantomvulpe791 I don't remember what all I had set up for him but it was revolving around the Flame of The Firehawk Shield. I would have Grog Nozzle with that shield and set up. The moment that went off it wouldn't stop till a few blast after not doing damage to anyone and I would never run out of health. It made Krieg OP AF against most enemies. But it also makes him annoying while on 2+ player.
When I started playing as Krieg I just didn't get him at all. In fact I *hated* him! It wasn't until level 30, and then level 60, that I truly understood him (he's OP8). And he then became one of my favourite characters. This is why I love Borderlands 2: 6 characters each with 3 skill trees, and an infinite way to play each of them. Tired of melee? Go explosive. Tired of explosive? Try a bit of everything. Etc etc etc. Infinite replayability, in infinite combinations. *I looked into the heart of darkness...and I ate it all!*
Can't forget that he has one of the best heads for trolling people in Co-op, and it is funny as hell to watch a Krieg slowly march into a bunch of mobs with the bane before he either RtT or whips out the dynamite and starts rampaging.
My buddy as Kreig and me as revive/damage Maya was an amazing combination. Because I could revive him from anywhere in line of sight he could go nuts and be as reckless as he wanted. Killer team for sure. Next we're doing Gunzerker and Assassin

@Eli from Ok gunzerker by himself is too powerful to be considered fair. every time I see a list of hard bosses and recommended strategies, I always see 'just use Sal with Grog Nozzle and DPUH, he'll take care of it'. no shit, that combo can take care of literally every enemy in the game. If I'm looking for strategies I'm clearly not using that otherwise I wouldn't need to
My first two playthroughs of bl2 were as gauge first then zero. It was fun to experience the play style of the "sniper" archetype and the whole anarchy thing with gaige. But that's when I watched the Krieg cinematic trailer "a meat bicycle for two". Never in my life have I wanted to replay a game more. It really sets him up in both play style and character.
Though Krieg can be the least gear-dependent, he can also be the most, like trying to go for a clean kill on Terramorphis, which I like a lot, because it's amazing to see how your hard work into farming for the best Krieg gear pays off greatly.

I consider Krieg my main. He's fun and very powerful. But I definitely still have some problems with him. At level 80, no OP, he does great against general enemies. Like, that's fine and dandy. Against bosses, he struggles. Take the Badassasaurus Rex, or the new Hadarax the Invincible, for example. Krieg has good damage, but he just can't deal enough to make a melee fight with these bosses viable. My other issue with Krieg is with the Silence the Voices skill. The problem often isn't actually the damage you deal to yourself (though it can get very high), it's the fact that it takes significantly longer than a normal melee, and you can't do anything while it's happening. If you get really unlucky, and hit yourself three times in a row (which happens more often than you'd think), you're pretty much screwed unless you have some other item (flame of the firehawk or a grenade paired with grog nozzle) that's killing shit and healing you. If you can put up with lots of stupid deaths because Krieg smacked himself over and over... and over again... and you can deal with big health bosses being really tough, play Krieg. It's lots of fun to bloodsplode and oneshot cronies.

Krieg and Gaige are my mains. I like their cons even though they can be crippling in some situations. Idk i feel like the extra challenge makes them fun and makes you adapt and get better. I dont mind the extra weight on Krieg either since he’s a big ball of muscular mayhem, it makes sense. Also Krieg makes awesome Nipple Salads, so he has that over the other Vault Hunters.
I noticed Kriegs weight when fighting Terramorphous. His blackhole hole move doesnt work unless you stand still.

Lucas Jimenez with Gaige I typically go anarchy and elemental with the perk that makes your bullets bounce and roll with some form of jakobs shotgun with a small magazine, a hyperion or etech smg, grog/rubi/kitten, and a torgue weapon, magic missile (x4), legendary mechromancer class mod, an amp shield or shield booster shield. That’s if we’re talking after multiple play throughs and after gearing up pretty well. If we’re talking a new game I go anarchy all the way and focus on shotguns and explosive weapons at close range as much as possible and being a little cheap with spamming the contraband sky rocket or x9 bonus package if it drops to rake in the XP in early game.

I main Gaige. I use a shock Tattler while using her many shock and weapon perks (plus a Bee). They make me feel unstoppable. I just shoot near an enemy, with 600 stacks of anarchy, and watch literally everything in the general area die. She sometimes feels easier to play than Salvador in my opinion.

Definitely..I'm around level 8 or so with Athena in TPS and her stupid shield action skill is so boring and useless compared to Krieg's Buzz Axe and especially with Release the Beast.

Corrosive damage existis in bl1, and yeah, corrosive dot on enemies give you more damage with other elements in bl1...

Definitely the character I've had the most fun with. It think hes probably one of the best characters for mobbing. He absolutely sucks against flying enemies when you're a melee build though. My favorite character to play as though

Krieg is a fun character, but the constant screen effect on some of his more "potent" build annoy me too much to enjoy him
maybe you could use a roid shield and not spec into STV or you can use the community patch which removes the clutter from stv.

Well if you have the hunters grotto DLC then you can get the rough rider which is almost as versatile as flame of the fire hawk. That will get the flames out of your face...

Fuel the rampage is useless if you have release the beast. As long as you transform at/under 33% health (there's a ! Next to your health bar when its there) not only do you become a badass psycho that gets a full bar of health after every kill, but when used this way, BAR is literally back as soon as you return to normal. As long as you keep your health low and a long shield restoration, you can literally keep BAR available FOREVER

The "risk" of Feed the beast can be offset by playing with a team-healing Maya. Other player can damage your shields, but gunshots to health = heal (& they can rez you from a distance)
After spending enough time playing around with Krieg and Maya individually, as well as partners it was clear Gearbox made gameplay reflect game trailers for how much they were made for each other.
i love playing as krieg. i found him more fun to play as than zer0 who was my first character. i just find it so much fun to go with his melee and destroy everyone and everything in my path with the buzzaxe.

I recommend using the "Mania" skill tree and maxing out Empty the rage, Feed the Meat, Strip the Flesh, Thrill of the Kill, and get Light the Fuse. After doing this, continue spend the skill points you have/get in "Mania" and get Release the Beast as soon as possible. Melee should be used heavily.

Krieg is the Ultimate embodiment of. "If my enemy is behind and point a gun at my back, I'll just point a gun at me and shoot through so I can kill him"
you can also hear his faint voice inside his head talking at times which is very cool
Krieg is a freaking monster. He's got a very high-risk, high-reward playstyle. You're gonna be getting in much closer to your enemies, intentionally taking damage in order to keep rampaging. Once you've got that down pat, Krieg becomes damn near unstoppable. Unlock the "Release the Beast" perk, and it honestly feels like you're cheating.
to me krieg is really really good because of his survivability because when using release the beast you can refill health by activation and killing, but when its done you can use it again when you are under 33%.this is without hellborn

He’s such a well designed character. He plays exactly like how a playable psycho would play from his look down to his mechanics. I don’t think I’ve played a game that allows you to play a character that is completely based off of enemies you fight. He’s my favorite character in the series.

Oh, and in my opinion Krieg is definitely a lot of fun, more so after you get to TVHM. Not really a character you'd want to use your first time playing, but a lot of fun for veterans to play with his min/maxing and unique playstyle options.
I completely agree my first play through was as zero and then I played through again with krieg I'm currently on TVHM right after Roland dies and he is an absolute badass if you build him right but I prefer to play him solo because of how he is built

Great video on one of my favorite vault hunters. I will agree with another comment in that it is quite annoying in earlier levels to play with Krieg due to his limited timers and cool down but once you obtain the correct class mod like the blister or crunch and invest in the proper skills, you can practically rampage forever.
My favorite character in the game. He can destroy all of the raidbosses pretty easily if you're good with him.

I just picked him cause he's fun. Did do a save edit on a Krieg playthrough and having every single skill is pretty wild. A bullet so much as touches you and suddenly you're on fire, have a bunch of active perks and fire balls are killing people left and right followed by them exploding. I'm currently starting another Krieg now that I have the handsome collection.
Y'all nay-sayers need to max out Krieg using Gibbed (except for the silence the voices skill, which is terrible), and run him at full power. He is like a god. When you time your rampage ability with your low health, you not only dodge death every time, but you also mutate and become a sheer juggernaut. Combined with the Legendary Psycho class mod, Blood of the Ancients relic, the Fire Storm or Magic Missile grenades, and the Teramorphous shield, Krieg becomes so OP it isn't even fair. He's definitely the most fun character to run.

I disagree, as for me it makes a build where I can do a lot of damage with my guns when I have my shield, and when my shield goes down I can go into the rampage mode and wreck then, with this build I have hardly lost a duel with my friends, the only loss I had was my friend going Salvador with dual Harolds due to that one skill.

I think that Release the Beast also deserves a mention, since the boost to his survivabillity and damage output is incredible, and it really makes you feel overpowered during your TVHM playthrough, and makes you happy that you didn's have to get specific survivability gear for UVHM. It's also incredibly satisfying to have almost 100% uptime on your action skill.
I never really enjoyed krieg until i first got to UVHM with him and really dug into his skills and the synergies he has with a lot of gear thats considered bad on most other characters
Krieg has some of the most complex combat loops and micromanaging requirements in the game at endgame
For me thats what makes him fun to play

I got a chuckle out of the commando video, seeming as he apparently mains Axton? When he said "do you really need to make your turret stick to walls?" about the mag-lock, and then said that longbow wasn't a good idea because it wastes so much time with the turret falling to the ground, it made me eye-roll hard.
He simply never pieced together the idea that you can get the quickest deploying turret (that you can, more or less, place anywhere on any but the largest of maps) that is rendered extra-safe and extra-resilient from enemies by having the extra quick deployment of the longbow (and the substantial bonus health) with the instantaneous deployment of the mag-lock. I take it he doesn't play much online? it is nigh-impossible to have not run into the fearsome double-barreled-slag-mag-lock-phalanx-longbow turret pair ( 26/11/26 being the capstone focus of it) because of how insanely good that build focus is.

Everything would be fine, if it wasn't UVHM. The closes character is 9 lvl higher, my weapons are meh and my melee build can't be as good when my shield regenerates. It makes using Release the Beast much easier.

Fuel the rampage can let the other players get you less than 1/3 health , so you can use the relese the beast skill then if you go below 3
1/3 health again you can get an infinite buzz axe rampage!
