Such a lovely phrase : "Home is not a place, it's a person".
As an English secondary language speaker I found your teaching methods is extremely useful that teachers don’t teach us at school or even in primary school…
The extent to which I've been improving my pronunciation skills in regard to 'd' and 't' sound with your video was utterly stunning. Thanks a million.

Very clear explanation. Your lesson helped me clear my doubts about the pronunciations of 'ed' sounds in different situations that I would like to know for a long time.

As a native English speaker, it is interesting to find out why our pronunciation changes with the same spelling combinations. I dont remember even studying voiced and unvoiced sounds in school
Me neither!
Because you didn't need to. It comes naturally to you. But people in the country, where I am now, say Link-ED IN for the job finders social network.
Which sounds very funny. And you just know it's LINKT. They have to learn this.
Yeah english can be really hard to pronounce. I'm a native speaker raised in the US so ive never had a problem with it either but even I'm confused as to why that's the case. And stuff like "their" or "raspberry" theres so many confusing pronunciations and spellings. I give mad props to people learning english
@@honey10tionup17 I'm struggling to pronounce phrases with "ed" and "to" like: "managed to" and "manage to"
@@eduardorodrigues3488 managed to is like "man-uh-jd to" while manage is like "man-uh-j to"
I just discovered this channel and it's amazing. Very clear and fun. Thank you, even though I've been speaking English for many year, I still struggle with pronunciation. Subscribed!!

Happy to have such a beautiful teacher to learn English.
i am on the way to perfect the British accent and it is always a conundrum, until I found this channel, I was so impressed of you narrating and articulating the nuance between sounds, and it's very subtly....yesterday my colleague asked me if I can tell her how to have an English accent and i was so shocked coz it was my first time to make me feel proud of my improvements. And so on, thanks to your videos, now I discovered tons of brand new pages to kick off the master of RP as well.
Your story is beautiful. I learned a great deal in your lesson today. I've watched it twice and I intend to re-watch it many times just so the contents get a chance to sink in. Thank you, Lucy. Some teachers do not pronounce the word 'pronunciation' properly. This was the word that helped me decide you would make a good teacher. You are. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best during this virus season. From beautiful springtime Melbourne Down Under.

Thank you Lucy. To make those videos for us who are still learning how to pronounce 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I’m Vietnamese and I really like your video about English
Thank you teacher your video is perfect i learn well.
I feel like every native English speaker automatically knows how to pronounce these
It's a physiological phenomenon; it automatically comes that way. The native speakers of English don't need to know that. The sounds are automatically uttered that way. Lucy studied phonetics and phonology and she can explain such phenomena, which help an ESL learner understand them and thus improve their pronunciation. You're a great teacher, Lucy.
Thank you Lucy for all your lessons! You keep on pushing us forward in trying to master the English language. Once again: THANKS!!!
