    As a native English speaker, it is interesting to find out why our pronunciation changes with the same spelling combinations. I dont remember even studying voiced and unvoiced sounds in school

      Because you didn't need to. It comes naturally to you. But people in the country, where I am now, say Link-ED IN for the job finders social network.
      Which sounds very funny. And you just know it's LINKT. They have to learn this.

      Yeah english can be really hard to pronounce. I'm a native speaker raised in the US so ive never had a problem with it either but even I'm confused as to why that's the case. And stuff like "their" or "raspberry" theres so many confusing pronunciations and spellings. I give mad props to people learning english

    i am on the way to perfect the British accent and it is always a conundrum, until I found this channel, I was so impressed of you narrating and articulating the nuance between sounds, and it's very subtly....yesterday my colleague asked me if I can tell her how to have an English accent and i was so shocked coz it was my first time to make me feel proud of my improvements.       It's a physiological phenomenon; it automatically comes that way. The native speakers of English don't need to know that. The sounds are automatically uttered that way. Lucy studied phonetics and phonology and she can explain such phenomena, which help an ESL learner understand them and thus improve their pronunciation. You're a great teacher, Lucy.
