I believe it is one of the greatest choral pieces ever written", says Ragnar Bohlin, chief conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Lidholm set parts of Dante's The Divine Comedy to music in 1971-73 for the Swedish Radio Choir and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir.
