So lucky to have reeps one
mix of fear and amazement and inspiration it gave me chills when it started to create a sort of rhythmic pattern
Hit like if u want this on netflix
This is completely revolutionary! Combining AI with something auditory, like voices and beat patterns, enables people to understand AI so much better. Was really interesting to see what happened when he used that rhythmic template, or 'style transfer technique' to force it to adapt to a tempo! Good stuff Reeps keep up the innovation
Bro it's on CZcams for free... Why you you want to pay for something you already have access to free of charge
@@pineneedlehermit6158 hmmmm..true that...i was wrong😊
*Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa, & ReepsOne.*
Lifetime and X-Arts first collaborative film
4:02 kinda sounds like metal jaw which reeps made over 6 years ago, strange.
Good ear
I love all of these episodes!!! When are more coming guys???
Love this research ❤
I already watched the other episodes, and turns out, I, now want to continue beatboxing as a part of me.
It's a long long way to go for beatboxers through technology and....idk.... Maybe soon they might become an important genre in music...like of u agree!!
Following beatbox scene since 2005, and my god it's totally different story this days, implementing loop station for creating songs put it on next level.Whole community is like family. Keep up good work @swissbeatbox
This is insane, literally being able to witness the studies and research that reeps has done so far, is phenomenal. It's so sick to see how far something as what some say is "random sounds from your mouth", can actually push forth something that could be scientifical. Possibly finding further roots of beatboxing/music in the past that could've been less thought of and not ever really mentioned, or even rediscovering even a way that could've been a certain language at one point in history. Being a beatboxer, I can't say much more other than that this is just awesome. Big up Reeps 👍
I could have watched an entire series just off of this video.
I feel like beatboxing is something more than just music
Beatbox is more than just doing things with your mouth. It's even more than music.
Yet another great installment. Good work Harry and everyone else involved
what a beautiful, complex tease of an episode. CHEERS
It's a great doc.
This is great omg
Subtitles are so funny...my Name is reap Swan xD Great episode like always! TY
Stupid subtitles lol :D
Cj Carr says it's up to humans to be conscious and compassionate enough to use technology for the advancement of our species, rather than its destruction. Great sentiment, but the inherent difficulties are pointed to just minutes later when Reeps speaks to his own feeling of discomfort or unease despite having made a point about that very response from people.
If a person as conscious as Harry is dealing with mental stumbling blocks and "a challenge", in his words, where does that put the GP?
The crux is not technology, of course, but human psychology and conditioned philosophy. Specifically, the idea of power over one's fellow man. Those exploiting it are casual killers; uncaring, egocentric, willing to allow profound suffering for the sake of their continued entertainment, which it must be, as the need for sustenance or satisfying requirements for survival would have long since been passed. On the other side of the coin there are those who fear being exploited, or having power exerted over them. A rational fear, as most of us have experienced that circumstance, but one whose roots take hold and stretch to inhabit all corners of the mind. Some yearn for the opportunity to gain power themselves and thereby exploit others as they have been exploited, continuing the cycle of trauma down through generations; others develop neurosis, become withdrawn, addicted to substance or meaningless content for escape. Some resolve not to perpetuate the behaviors which are socially undermining us, or perhaps personally damning, but the temptation is always there, beckoning from the other side of a flawed equation: Seize for oneself and be fulfilled.
It is the mentality of a child that screams for satisfaction, that refuses to share, that wants what it demands provided immediately. Unfortunately, in America at the least, that mentality is indoctrinated. Education is withheld despite statistics pointing to most social ills stemming from its lack. Popular culture feeds a "me-first" approach, playing every possible emotional note in order to sustain sales of ultimately superfluous product. Image is everything even as the mental health of a nation fails, dialogue breaks down, politics polarize, and economic disparity increases. Not to mention climate threat.
We are profoundly unhealthy, but that is not the end of the process, or a condition that we must endure. It is not necessary to win the lottery of life, being one of a lucky few born into wealth, or developing one's personal talents to a degree that they are prepared for presentation on the world stage. What is necessary is a conditioning of those things which will see us to a new level of social and individual consciousness. A response to the systematic mental slavery wrought by a bureaucracy that pays lip service to its citizens as it sends them to die in wars or allows them to starve while billions of dollars of food are discarded every year.
These things as I see them are: Long-term thinking, coupled with holism. Sympathy for the other. A swallowing of pride and regurgitation of laughter. The willingness to co-operate. The ability to see past our own bias. Inclusion, rather than exclusion. Adaptiveness, assuming the roles dictated by context rather than fixation. And as is evidenced by Reeps in this video and countless other successes AND failures in the world- a desire to rise to challenge, to willingly choose the more difficult path, to pursue rather than flee, not because we possess the predator's "killer instinct" but because we embody the scientist's boundless desire for knowledge.
It's going to be really damn hard to do all that in the current environment, but conveniently, the more people who share common vision and work towards that vision, the easier it becomes. That's why clear purpose and communication is important, it's why relationship building is important, and it's also why we're being taught to fear each other, masturbate our own egos, and live largely in seclusion. Social media has not proven to be the solution to building community, and there likely is no one grandiose fix, but beatbox by all appearances can be an avenue to greater things by way of its inclusive, supportive culture that pushes one another to be better while sharing an experience that is without doubt one of the most enjoyable activities people can do. Let's keep pushing, and never lose sight of our families; beatbox family, birth family, human family. Thanks swissbeatbox, thanks Reeps, thanks everyone working for the common good.

Holy f* I did use Reeps art (drawing though) as input while experimenting with convnets some years ago, and also had the idea to do it with beatbox inputs. Glad it has been done, really nice work ! 🔥👊
Here's someone you may know in - sort of - a style you might have already seen just in case twitter.com/GoldenPipaul/status/675665138515623936 (Not really the result I aimed for but I only had few samples back in the dayz)

I’m confused - is this new technology supposed to clone us?
We designed something to replicate Cobain's voice, then when it replicated Cobain's voice we were all shocked 😂😂😂
