    Banking services and debit card provided by The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, N.A.; Members FDIC.
    Eligibility requirements and overdraft limits apply. See chime.com/spotme. In order for the referring Chime member (“Referrer”) to qualify and receive the $100.00 referral reward and $10.00 temporary SpotMe Bonus Limit increase, and for the referred person (“Referred”) to qualify and receive the $100.00 referral reward, all of the following conditions must be satisfied: (1) Referrer meets SpotMe eligibility requirements and is part of the SpotMe Referral Incentive referral reward campaign; (2) Referred has not previously opened a Chime Checking Account (“Account”); (3) Referred opened a new Account between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022; (4) Referred opened the new Account using the Referrer’s unique referral link; (5) Referred received in the new Account a Qualifying Direct Deposit within 45 calendar days of opening the Account; and 6) Referred activated their physical Chime Visa Debit Card within 14 days of receiving a Qualifying Direct Deposit. A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a deposit of $200.00 or more by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) that comes from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer OR a deposit by Original Credit Transaction (OCT) from your gig economy payer. Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash loads or deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions, and any deposit to which Chime deems to not be legitimate are not Qualifying Direct Deposits. Members will not be enrolled in SpotMe automatically. Members must qualify for SpotMe and enroll manually through the Chime App in order to receive the temporary SpotMe Bonus Limit increase referral reward. Members may earn no more than $50.00 in SpotMe Bonus Limit referral increase and may earn no more than $1,000.00 in monetary referral rewards per calendar year (January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023). No member’s SpotMe limit may exceed $200. Any earned SpotMe increases from this referral reward in the Member’s bonus queue (“Bonus Queue”) not yet added to the Member’s SpotMe limit (due to the promotional limit cap) will be added to the Member’s SpotMe limit on a rolling basis as the previously added SpotMe increases from this referral reward expire. Once the temporary SpotMe bonus limit ends, Members may no longer earn SpotMe increases on this referral reward, however the earned SpotMe bonuses in the Member’s Bonus Queue will not be lost. Any Referrer SpotMe Bonus limit increase referral reward will expire 184 calendar days from the Referred receiving a Qualifying Direct Deposit. If an eligible Referrer loses Bonus Limit eligibility, and the Referred completes the above conditions, the Referrer will receive the $10 temporary SpotMe limit increase referral reward only upon regaining Bonus Limit eligibility. Referral rewards will generally be provided within two (2) business days after all the above conditions are met. The Referrer’s account must be in good standing in order to receive the referral reward. Referred individuals acknowledge that payment of any referral reward may result in the Referrer’s knowledge of the Referred’s establishment of a new Account or enrollment in a product. Chime reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of any referral reward offer or terminate a member's eligibility at any time with or without prior notice. Credits of $10 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-INT for new members (Referred). Credits of $600 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-MISC for referring Chime members (Referrers). Banking services are provided by The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, N.A., Members FDIC.

      Hi Fahed! Thanks for reaching out. SpotMe is available to everyone with monthly qualifying single direct deposit of at least $200 from a qualifying source from an employer or payroll provider, gig economy payer, or government benefits payer. All direct deposits must be deposited into the members' Checking Accounts as automated clearing house (ACH) transfers or Original Credit Transactions (OCT).

    Can you divide a direct deposit that is going into an external account, so that you can put $200 direct deposit into Chime? Also, you cannot directly transfer from bank account $200 every month?

    • @Chime
      @Chime  Před měsícem

      Thank you for getting in touch about this. You can make transfers from an external bank account using your Chime routing and account numbers. There are no limits or fees imposed by Chime on these transfers, however other banks may have their own restrictions.
      You can also transfer money from your Checking Account to an external bank account 💸 You can send up to $5,000.00 per day, with a maximum of $25,000.00 per month. You can receive up to $200.00 per day, with a maximum of up to $1,000.00 per month in transfers from an external bank account to your Checking Account. Bank transfers take 3-5 business days to process.

    Why can't you electronically transfer funds from bank account to Chime card?

      Hi Adriana! Thank you for reaching out. Direct deposit is the easiest and most reliable way to deposit funds to your Checking Account, although it is certainly not the only one. We also support ACH transfers, cash deposits, and Mobile Check Deposit.
      And if what you are referring to is wire transfer, we do not currently support wire transfers. Any funds directed to your Chime account via wire transfer will automatically return to the sender. To send or receive funds internationally, we recommend using a third-party service such as TransferWise!

      Hi Tezo, thanks for chiming in! SpotMe covers debit card purchases and cash withdrawals made with your Chime Visa® Debit Card. SpotMe doesn’t cover many non-debit card transactions including direct debits, Chime Checkbook transactions, Pay Anyone transfers, or other transfers (like Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle).

    And can you use when you still have money on you account

    • @Chime
      @Chime  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey Tezo! That's a great question! If your balance is negative, card transactions will still be approved up to your SpotMe limit! For example, if your limit is $20 and your balance is -$5, you still have the ability to make $15 in card purchases. Additionally, SpotMe covers debit card purchases and cash withdrawals made with your Chime Visa® Debit Card. SpotMe doesn’t cover many non-debit card transactions including direct debits, Chime Checkbook transactions, Pay Anyone transfers, or other transfers (like Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle).

      SpotMe is a fee-free service available to Chime members with an active debit card. It lets you spend a little more money than you have in your Chime Checking Account, up to a limit that Chime sets, to pay for things when you're short on funds.
      Also, if you overdraw your account and SpotMe covers you, Chime will deduct the negative balance from your next direct deposit or transfer of funds into your account, whichever comes first.
