@@Karma-pq9fi 1. We dont know hes 5 yet. 2. Chad got built up only to get defeated to build up a new opponent. Thats how its relating to the Worf effect. 3. This is a reference to the Bleach Abridge.

Aaroniero Arrurueire's Resurrección, Glotonería, is Spanish for "Gluttony."
Cirucci Sanderwicci's Resurrección, Golondrina, is Spanish for "Swallow."
Gantenbainne Mosqueda's Resurrección is Dragra. I couldn't find the Spanish translation, don't know if it's an actual Spanish word, but the Japanese kanji used to spell it can translate to "Dragon Fist."
Bonus:
Uryu's reishi sword, Seele Schneider, is German for "Soul Cutter." A little bit of a German motif.
And Chad's arms, Brazo Derecha de Gigante and Brazo Izquierda del Diablo, as one of you have guessed, is Spanish for "Right Arm of the Giant" and "Left Arm of the Devil." :)

exactly, that wasn't a proper fight. When a character as inconsequential as Di Roy gets oneshotted normally it means that it was weak (which he was). This is the first time Rukia fares against a real challenge, and even then it is the weakest among the Espada.
@@yiledute I mean Di Roy wasnt really weak he was comparable to the rest of the gang, potentially stronger than Rangiku opponent since he was more evolved in his Adjuchas state (before they reverted to Gillian). The reason Rukia washed him is he never got to go into his release state unlike the others, even then he almost one-shot Chad.
@@axelmok4_channel391 But Rangiku and Chad are also weak, most lieutenants are weak, just because they have been the only ones we saw fighting, doesn't mean that they are more impressive than the rest of fighters not involved, I'm pretty sure the strongest lieutenants would defeat Di Roy and the other arrancars with much less effort, and we are not even including the captains and Espada, which is precisely what was shown in episode 158, all these fights meant nothing really, Nnoitra took Chad's strongest attack and made fun of it. And you keep adding to the original argument, Rukia ended Di Roy before he released his power, it wasn't a proper fight.

Id consider the lesser characters that would only qualify as a foot soldiers as weak.
@@axelmok4_channel391 the foot soldiers are not real characters. I would consider weak anyone that couldn't even stand their own ground on their own against at least the lowest of the strongest. Meaning, if they can't really fight the bottom tier of captains or Espada, which themselves could not handle even mid tier quincy, then they are weak.

Yeah man looking back, Chad's luck of running into an Espada ranked above Grimmjow in this arc was terrible luck after he ran into Shunsui, one of the stronger captains back in Soul Society

If it didn't happen more to Worf then I would propose that the Worf Effect is renamed the Chad Effect.
I don’t get how those two chad moments would be the same Chad ran into Shunsui and Shunsui himself opted to not fight at all. This espada went to go face Chad himself and is obviously not a caring person. That’s like saying sasuke retrieval is the same as gaara retrieval because they are trying to save people who were taken by the enemy.
That’s like saying every one piece arc is the same because they go to an island find a bad guy who’s oppressing people then liberate the island.

Maybe it’s because I’ve seen all the fillers, but I remember Chad having more wins under his belt. There was even a cool moment where Ichigo, Uryuu and Chad finished their opponents at the same with their new moves from this arc.

He has 5 manga fights. 3 wins, 2 losses. He's barely involved. Whereas in the anime filler, he has 5 fights just in the Bounts arc, and wins or draws all of them. The animators and filler writers definitely like him more.
@@Fyre11 Hopefully he gets something in the final arc, I can remember almost every role the main group had except for Chad’s. Maybe an anime exclusive fight, a new move, or even the afro Arrancar he fought here could come back as an ally.

@Fyre11 Chad is essentially the Sakura of the Bleach-verse...except that Sakura has more wins than Chad now when I think about it 😂 and this is all Ichigo's fault for jinxing Chad's career! All because, during the Rukia rescue arc, Ichigo says "Chad's Reiatsu has vanished...no! I can't imagine Chad ever losing a fight"

@@dwarer3064 gluttony is one of the 7 original sins. Created by Christians during the middle ages gluttony is associated with food not technology. As I said it is written as "Hollow Eater" emphasis on the water part. Even the command "Devour her" associates with eating
@@dwarer3064 so why use it to describe it? Also in Dantes Inferno the fourth lvl of Hell is Gluttony reserved for sinners who consumed too much.

My favorite Chad moment and his best fight. Also, yeah, Chad has the worst luck fights with one of the strongest captains in the Soul Society and has fought the strongest opponent in Hueco Mundo so far.
All hollows were once alive, including every Menos class that a mash up of hollows, of course they would know what commercials are.

The comedy has definitely not aged well with this show. I mean, I don't remember the comedic scenes being particularly funny back when they first aired, but they seem especially cringey now.
I feel like they’re paying too much attention to the damn subtitles whenever there’s a wrong word instead of listening to the episode. It’s already in English anyway.

Just watch it in parts. The faster they watch, the sooner they can move onto something else. Bleach's quality is so all over the place, it makes more sense to watch it faster so they can usually hit a good episode once a week.
