    Wow, I just realized you ARE Annie Sloan! I'm been watching you since I decided blend dark purple to light lavender, then pearl glaze it. My first furniture attempt. I did a good job choosing who to learn from, Annie Sloan! lol

    It is gorgeous I could probably paint it on my nails 💅..a lot healthier ingredients for my nails, as it is water based, than any nail varnish that destroyed my nails!

    I love shiny things! On my cottage I decided to use the glaze over pure white to do my 19th century window frame! it's old but yet no signs of wear so why change it? Already did the white and now I am applying lacquer. How much time do you think I should wait before applying the glaze, after the 2nd hand of lacquer had dried?

    Hello Ms.Annie, can pitch black glaze be applied on red chalk paint, and should I apply it with a brush or roller.? P. S. new at this... what kind of effect will it have on the piece? thanks, will appreciate your opinion.

    • @AnnieSloanHome
      @AnnieSloanHome  Před 3 lety

      I don't use tinted glazes (other than my Pearlescent Glaze) on any of my paintwork. In this case I would prefer to use my Black Chalk Paint® Wax instead as I can both adjust the color or look of my piece and seal it at the same time!

    Can I do fabric, curtains with this on its own to get that pearl look?

    • @AnnieSloanHome
      @AnnieSloanHome  Před 3 lety +3

      It's possible, but you might find it makes the fabric a bit stiff. Why not consider hand painting or stenciling a pattern on your curtains using the Pearlescent Glaze.

    • @AnnieSloanHome
      @AnnieSloanHome  Před 4 lety +2

      I didn't. They were painted with the Pearlescent Glaze that had been tinted first with just a bit of paint. I used Florence, Antibes Green, and Aubusson Blue.

      @@AnnieSloanHome Hi Annie, I am definitely interested in this product. You mentioned it was durable and also for interior use only. Do you feel this product is washable? I am a professional painter and looking for a nice finish for my customers' furniture pieces and I think this is it.. Thank you in advance.

    Can polycrylic be used over the pearl glaze?

    • @AnnieSloanHome
      @AnnieSloanHome  Před 2 lety

      Hello Harriett! The Pearlescent Glaze has the same properties as the Lacquer, so there is no need to use a polycrylic over it!

      If you are looking to change the colour of your upholstery then I would not recommend using our Pearlescent Glaze as it has little pigment in it.
