Shelly was refreshing to hear. I have sold on eBay since the early years. eBay has changed so much. The days of selling an item, waiting for the check to arrive in the snail mail, waiting for it to clear, and then mailing out the item. We had no cell phones with us to check comps. “We have come along way baby!”
Wow! Amazing video! Tip for Shelly - I wear traditional Danskos (the clog type) to the bins & thrifting and they work Wonders to keep my back and knees from hurting. I used to shift my weight all day and now I can work just fine in those shoes!! Love the interview! Great job all around!!

Thank you...this answered a lot of questions that i had about wholesale. I'm an avid thrifter, and a part-time reseller. I just requested to join her FB group, as I'm very interested in becoming a wholesaler.
I would love to buy from a good wholesaler since I live in a thrifting desert. What little can be found is very expensive. $10 tops and more expensive dresses. And anything like Free People or even Vince is marked up to $30-50. I’ve tried a couple of mystery boxes and that was a complete waste of money. So I would think wholesalers could do quite well.

I grew up with my mom and my aunt making extra money selling at flea markets and yard sales. We also made Barbie clothes and I still make clothing as a side income. I’m from Southern Oregon. Would love to know more about her business
Such an amazing and informative video! As a full time 9-5 worker and part time reseller I’ve been trying to figure out how to cut down on my time spent (sourcing, comping, cleaning, photographing, listing, marketing/sharing, etc. 😅). This video has been a godsend! I think I’m completely changing my business model and focusing fully on wholesaling moving forward. Thanks to you and now ALWAYS checking sell through, I’ve seen my business growing and with that knowledge would love to help some others!

Hi I I've in Arizona I know a lot ladies in the bins that do wholesale to sellers from Mexico they pick up a lot of everything, are bins in Phoenix are pretty dry too many people shopping

I looked at your site and at the bottom of the page it says you search and comp every item yet you're selling mystery boxes? If you're really comping every single item is it really that hard to write up a quick manifest?

Hello! If you go to the bottom of the course page there is a section called documents and resources. The live call schedule and links are there. We also have the same thing on the featured posts area on the Facebook group. Calls happen at the same days and times every week.
How do you learn how to wholesale. I have access to massive amounts of items theres no way I can list it all. How do you start?

Is there a market for wholesale of items that need minor cleaning/stain treatment? I ended up with a huge death pile of items with minor flaws and I'm extremely burned out from stain treatment right now.
I also hate dealing with dresses but still managed to amass a big pile of dresses from expensive brands that either need dry cleaning or just need to be steamed. At this point I'm not even 100% sure what all I have but I would be willing to get rid of them at my buy cost which is pretty low since I got a lot of them at the bins.
There's a market for everything. Just have to find the buyer.

Does Shelly do comps? Or is that up to the reseller.
It could be either. Really depends on how the wholesaler wants to setup their business. We always suggest that our wholesalers do comps because they will pickup less that we don't want. Most of them do the research before they go sourcing.
What would a whole seller do if you buy something and they don't take the item. Sell it or take it as a loss
I will ask Shelly what she does specifically but I believe most wholesalers try to find other avenues to sell it.
I do try to sell to others but some of it is a loss. As you get better at sourcing for your buyers the leftovers are less and less.

She runs the wholesaler connections group through FB. Wholesaling is generally done via direct messaging.
As a wholesaler do you have to do a 1099?
A 1099 is something that you get from platforms you sell on. I do report my earnings and pay taxes as with any small business.
Being a wholesaler isn't any different than being a reseller in terms of taxes and being a business owner. Obviously they have a few variables but the entities tend to be the same.

I pay her via PayPal invoicing.
All of my buyers pay me through Paypal.
