- The entire internet is seeing iBDW's iconic reverse pop off against me that happened after our set at GOML 2022. Fans of moistcritikal and all over CZcams's trending are seeing it, but lets me explain what you don't know. Here I'll analyze every moment leading up to it and WHY it happened.
If you created the original drawing of the thumbnail or know who did, please let me know! I looked everywhere to find the original artist but was unable to so I could work with and credit them for the base of this video's thumbnail.

The one day I couldn't make it to the GOML venue, I missed one of the most legendary moments in gaming history.
I thought the delivery was weak but the idea itself was amazing. No one can rival Hbox's popoff but Cody's effort was commendable 💯

This is my favorite melee moment in history, it transcends the physical limitations of not only the game itself, but time and space. The pre-reverse pop-off, the new nickname for hbox, the gentle caress of the fupa, the slow dance from behind, and ultimately leaning against his nemesis for comfort and support as he is on the verge of fainting.
I could literally just stop watching melee forever, fully content with this as its final scene. Absolute fucking banger. Bravissimo.

The fact that he was going to faint is proof that all "jumping and yelling" he did, was the most exercise IBDW ever got the entire year.
Idk it’s quite possible the guys anemic, I have the same issue if I stand up quickly, or do rigorous things right after coming from a prone/sitting position
By that logic hbox had no exercise for his faint either? Nah. Just so happens that yelling and jumping a lot after sitting down for 10 min will make you light headed - it’s not that deep

Correction: you do not get lightheaded because the blood rushes to your muscles. Instead, popping off like a legend creates a “valsalva” effect, increasing intrathracic pressure (the pressure around your heart). This lowers the amount of blood returning to your heart (pre load), therefore lowering the amount of blood the heart pumps out (cardiac output), causing you to get lightheaded and possibly feint. The Valsalva maneuver involved *holding* ones breath while attempting to force it outwards. It can occur when straining against resistance as well, but I don't know how much it has to do with this. It doesn't necessarily cause any major lightheadedness, either.

The man reverse-popped off infront of the GOAT, and then almost collapsed from the knock-back and needed to use him for support. Proof that you need to practice popping off, just like any skill.

There will never be a player like Hbox. He makes the scene so much more interesting cause there are stories around him. Everyone wants him to lose but he does not, he is like the villain of Melee. This does not mean it is a bad thing it just makes it more entertaining when there is some trash talk and rivalry things get interesting. I am rooting for you HBox.

He was doing a reverse popoff that he planned a while back on stream. It was meant to be some kind of prank for when hbox beats him in bracket. But he definitely over committed to the bit.
This is one of those moments where the dude is trying to be so funny that he plans and pregames, but all that just shows through as obvious comedic tryharding. He tried so hard to be funny that it was cringe.

We have officially transitioned from Villain Juan to anti-hero juan and I love it. IDBW as the villain is something I have wanted for so long. He is one of my least favorite top players. Let me just say I am not a big hbox fan. I don't dislike hbox by any means but I just rarely want him to win. But when its IBDW or Leffen I am the biggest hbox fan. But hbox is so lucky. He keeps having these weird things happen to him and it is so good for his wallet, popularity, and social credit score. Anyways for nostalgia sake I am happy to see hbox win another major.

I thought (based on thumbnail) that you were getting sexually assaulted. But based on your tone, composure, and eventually breakdown to the end, I realized that iBDW was fainting and had no real control of his action.
