For me, I make the mistake to taunt against someone whose been playing the game since 64 days, so I end up getting *completely* destroy by that person. Note: They were training me at the time when Ultimate just came out. I'll never forget those words: "Never taunt especially when your opponent is better than you."
Anytime someone taunts I usually just assume it's lighthearted because I refuse to believe that anyone would take unranked friendlies that seriously. I don't consider myself to be that good but I do go 3-2 pretty consistently at my locals and if someone is better than me and still taunts it's just sad honestly because that means they are usually pretty good and are probably known within their local communities and have people that look up to them. If you decide to taunt in tourney that's gutsy, but if you taunt in UNRANKED all you're doing is flexing your small fragile little ego in a 20+ year old party game in a match that has literally no significant meaning and the funniest part about it is that they too also lose to other toxic players on unranked who also do the same thing to them. This community needs to do better if we want to attract new players and this toxic shit needs to go.
i think taunting in unranked is pretty funny and not toxic at all and shouldn't be taken very seriously (btw i am very nice and never taunt and always SD for people and i always say ggs well played that was fun after every match)
