Mustafa Kemal Ataturk erased Arabic and Persian words from official Ottoman Turkish. Rural people always spoke real Turkish language unaffected by Arabo-Persian words.
Ottoman Society has basically two Turkish language. Court language with many Arabo-Persian influence, Folk language with lesser elements from Arabo-Persian culture.

The amount of loanwords in spoken Anatolian Turkish throughout the centuries and depending on regions and dialects were between ~10% up to almost ~20%, mainly from Arabic/Arabic words via Persian and Persian proper, Unlike the so called 'High Ottoman (Turkish)" which was the "book language" of the Ottoman Empire that consisted of up to ~80% foreign vocabulary and never had been spoken in daily conversation.
In modern official Turkish, this ratio is around 12-15% depending on context(even if we include pre-islamic Iranic [Scythian/Sarmatian/Sogdian etc.] loanwords).
So in terms of the spoken language, nothing has changed apart from the natural evolution of the language. Turkish society were mostly illiterate before 1920s in anyway. Highest estimates of literacy are no more than 30%( 99% of them being male) in Ottoman Anatolia even in the late 19th century.

Thank you for mentioning Ataturk's research about Turkish people ancestry you are a real non biased historian sir. Mongols and Turks are both altaic people descendants of Huns/Hiong Nu's. Mete Khan (Oghuz Khan sagas) is the son of founder of Hiong Nu empire called Touman (Teoman), who aggressively expanded the Hiong Nu empire and been a big trouble for Han Dynasty of China if im not wrong that they just defined these people exactly the same how Turks and Mongols are defined in Gokturk documents, Mongol documents. Literally the same people i mean they were one nation they didnt differ eachother like you are turk or you are mongolian. Just turkic population was much more than mongol population even can be seen in Mongol Empire.

Dude, it is official. The Turkish State saying that too. Search for Turkish Presidential Logo, you will find this:
The symbol, which is composed of a sun with 8 long and 8 short rays surrounded by 16 stars, is named “the Presidential Seal.” The sun represents the infinity of the Republic of Türkiye and the 16 stars represent the 16 independent great Turkish empires in history. This seal is the Presidential Emblem.
Now search for 16 Great Turkic Empires and you will find on the top of the List Xiongnu or known as the Huns. The creator of the Hunnic Empire is Metehan or known as Oguz Khan, the Forefather of all Turks.
The Turkish Land Forces official foundation year is 203 BC, the Date goes back to Metehan the creator of the Turkish Land Forces.
The West should stop to try to each us our own History. We are saying this since centuries and today with DNA Tests they are giving us right. Even Atatürk said in the early 1900s that Turks and Native Americans are comming from the same Tribe, they are Turks too.
WE KNOW OUR HISTORY and this goes
back more than 40.000 years to the past.

Therefore, Turkic and mongolic are 2 different Altaic ethnicities. 2ndly, The Turks were on the verge of becoming Christians before they were Islamasized. Lets use Turkey as an example; the apostles and many descendants of Jesus did travel to Turkey preaching the gospel. As a result, many Turks did follow Christianity, which explains why there are many churches in the country till this very day.

Turks were not in Anatolia while the christianity was spreading over there. Besides, even if Turks would accept Christianity they would predominantly be of what would be considered heretical by mainstream christians, like Nestorianism. Apart from that, any doctrine arising from settled folk mythologies like polytheism, henotheism, avatarism, tripartide/multipartide godhood etc. does not go hand in hand with some rebellious, free-spirited people worshipping Tengri.
That is one of the cultural reasons that there are Turks who are orthodox christians, but mostly and by majority cultural due to Slavic influence, as there had been "nominally" Bogomilist Turks, most of them without any knowledge neither care of the concept of trinity, even Jehova's Witness Turks but very very rarely catholic or protestant ones

Historically speaking, proto-Turkic dominion on the Eastern Steppe must have ended by proto-para-Mongols taking over them and making the Turks their blacksmith-vassals. It is evident that proto-Turks must have dominated the Eastern Steppe, as evidenced by tremendously disproportionate number of loanwords between proto-Turkic to proto-para-Mongolic and proto-para-Mongolic to Turkic.
