I worked for several years in the garden department of a Major Home Improvement Retailer, and I never, not once, heard that tip about rose bush growth. Never.
Pee is high in nitrogen. But it should go around the plants that like nitrogen not on the leaves as it could burn the leaves.

My orthodontist had my dentist pull all my wisdom teeth plus 2 permanent molars when I was in my early teens, because he said my mouth wasn't big enough for all my teeth. That orthodontist was the one and only person in my life that ever thought that.

At first I thought why would I want to watch a video about junk and old buildings. And then I started watching and more than junk in old buildings it’s your personality that got my attention. Love my vegemite. Tip for beginners, treat it like a teaspoon of salt. Don't spread it on thickly like you might other spreads. On toast or fresh bread goes best with plenty of butter and you only need a teaspoons worth spread across the buttery top. (Everything is better with butter ) Leave the thick spread Vegemite for us lifers.

Thank you for posting about the dental surgery. I myself am going to have to have this done in a few months time. And I am SO dreading it. Yikes! Vegimite is Salty but tasty! I had it in Austraila 20 years ago! Very much an Acquired taste! Also Fred looks Happy your around now for awhile! The Yard looks great! Sorry about your tooth! I winced as you talked about your tooth extraction, because I had the same thing done recently. My periodontist used IV sedation for the procedure, thankfully. I have too much dental anxiety to go through what you went through! It does take a while to heal. Keep up the good dental hygiene. Your Easter outfit is so adorable, and it's great to see you, even if you are stuck at home for a bit!

..Yard looks great also , before you showed it I was thinking desert scape,, seemed to be the rage seen when I've been through there...Plum trees producing already is good sign , probably full size next year ... surprised not to see any type of cactus ...anyhow ,,take time to heal and discovering the interesting finds for adventures.....

I was a dental assistant a million years ago and in one of the professional dental journals my boss subscribed to, there was a great cartoon once I'll never forget: It was of a man gettan extraction but when the dentist was pulling the tooth from his mouth, his entire skull was coming with it! The caption was something to the effect, "What the patient imagines is happening." I've often wished I'd made a copy of that thing. . . Btw, I'm glad you had this rather complex procedure done in the US. I've heard some truly horrifying stories of some necessary re-dos from my dental pals still in field. That's not to say all Mexican dentists are questionable but there are still some risks involved in some quickie, el cheapo places. And don't get me started on scary stories from my friends who had their M to F re-assignment bottom surgery done in Mexico . . .
Including the uncontrolable urge to follow chickens across the road... lol

Good job, it looks nice. Been working on my yards as well, like the minimal idea, a lot less to take care of especially when you are gone for long periods of time. So again, the yard looks great!
My youngest daughter did a study abroad semester in Australia and my other daughter and I went to visit her. The way she learned to eat Tim Tams was to bite a corner off 2 opposite ends and suck some milk through it. Then the Tim Tam tastes all soft and creamy when you eat it. Not sure if that is the norm, but we liked it. We brought home Tim Tams for all our family and friends!
This is true , we call it a Tim Tam bomb. Best with a cup of tea or coffee. It just melts in your mouth !!

Happy Easter Sarah Jane! Loved the video and all the fun stuff in the mail. Your yard looks great and low maintenance. I was surprised to find that roses grow well in the desert as long as they are the right variety. Hopefully you have an irrigation system to do the watering. I live in Yuma by Algadonez and it's amazing how many people come down and stay a few days to a few weeks to have dental work done. I don't think the Mexican doctors are so concerned about the follow up appointments like the ones in the US. So you are probably safer with the Dentist you have for better after care.

Got my first Madera shot waiting for second one now my arm got sore for about two days . Happy Easter be safe have had dental implant for over twenty years ago in Army . They last as long as you keep them clean and get cleaning's every six month . Hope your tooth implant works for you .God Bless one and all be safe wear a mask thank you all.

Yard looks great. We go to Palomas Mexico for dental. It is a 1.5 hour drive but generally 1/4 the price and do all they can in 1 visit.

After getting a bill for $258 just to reattach A CROWN that wasn't damaged (the cement holding the crown onto my tooth failed after 11 years), I can understand why people go out of country for minor dental and surgical work!
The only problem is cleanliness. The standards are less consistent abroad.
You don't want to catch a bug because they don't clean the operating room routinely.
Heck, hospitals in the US are the worst places to recover in because you have a better chance of being exposed to diseases from other patients and medical staff.
2 of my friends go to Mexico for dental, it runs about 20 to 25% of US cost, and they LOVE the care they are given and the quality of the work performed.

One of my favorite things when I had to have soft food was canned Chicken ala King and mashed potatoes. I pureed potato salad in my mini blender (that worked good) and I also liked refried beans with lots of melted cheese.

Great video, Wunderhussy. Your dental surgery monologue brought back memories of my own teeth (yes plural, 3) removed in one sitting. “Do you want to be put to sleep”? How much is that? “$500”. Thanks but I’ll gut it out. The assistant put sweet tasting local on the outside of my upper rack, where 2 were coming out. 10 minutes later the doctor comes in to shoot me full of numbness then says, “we better put one here to (in the roof of my mouth). BOY HOWDY!! I felt that. When extracting the teeth I felt like Jack Nicholson in “Little Shop of Horrors “, the first one. When finished he ask,how ya doing?” I’m ok. “Good you’ll be back for more someday “. OMG. AAAAAHHHHH
