Oh yeah, i live in Victoria we know all about Reena Virk here. Unfortunately our legal system really has not given her justice.
I have a daughter the same age as Virk would be and used to live in the area, but fortunately we moved away to a suburb near Vancouver before this tragedy occurred. It was big news back then. I remember that Ellard was totally unapologetic and unremorseful, and she beat up a woman in a park over a phone while out on parole. I also remember her self-serving "... you're gonna convict me anyway..." boohoo speech. She had no empathy for Reena or her family whatsoever. Never bought her lies. Glowatski on the other hand was repentant. I can't get over the compassion shown toward him by Virk's family despite his role in Reena's death.
That makes me even more disgusted than that evil killing witch was set free after a tiny bit of time in jail ,just sickening .She went back because she wanted to kill someone and they took 3 trials to convict after a bunch of bull crap and then let her walk out, with barely any time in . I talk all the time about how crappy the system is here in the US but damm ,that's messed up too
As a Canadian girl born in the 90’s… this case and the case of Holly Jones has always stayed with me. Especially since Holly was my age. May Holly and Reena Rip 💕
I remember holly jones. My grandmas house was close by. Extremely heart breaking
I am currently watching this show because I saw that Lily was in it. It's extremely good and I have already researched everything about the case. Chilling and heartbreaking and also makes me just makes me have so many questions about why this sort of things would ever happen. Humans can be so evil especially when they are in groups.
The psychopath that murdered Reena got a slap on the wrist. She should be sitting the rest of her life in prison with no parole.
Riley Keough and Lily Gladstone in the same show? Yes, please! I'm looking forward to checking it out, especially since I'd never heard about this tragic murder. My sympathy goes out to Reena Virk and her family and friends. 😢
Canada ,seriously disgusting that that witch is free ,what kind of justice is that for a dead young girl ,I'm aware it won't bring her back but it's a horrible injustice ,the punishment does not come close to fitting the crime .She went back because she wanted to murder a girl ,how much more psychotic can someone get and it makes me sick to think about her walking free, she didn't even do real jail time and had children while supposedly being locked up and fought it in every way possible to stay out of jail completely ,what the hell was the purpose of three trials if she was just going to hop right out of jail in a minute ,sickening and if that was my daughter ,well I'd pray for the day U walked out of prison and gladly do the time after .
I started watching this. Very well done.
Reena was really different. Going against her family and lying on her father sent her right in the arms of the people who hated her the most.
I read a true crime book about this that I couldn’t put down. I’m slightly interested in watching this series.
I feel bad for Virk. And the idea of an unconscious person being drowned makes me really squeamish. Uggh. Poor Virk. She didn’t deserve that.
The miniseries would be better if it stuck to the real story & did not add fictitious elements.
the girl shouldn’t of lied and spread rumors about people but definitely paying for it with her life is extreme and shouldn’t of happened. they could’ve just left her beat up. sad across the board
Beating someone up (especially when there's multiple attackers) can also lead to the victim dying. What those kids did to Reena was wrong and utterly evil. Period.
@@TheMrHavish i meant whoever she initially wronged, obviously i don’t advocate for putting your hands on anybody unless they touched you first
I looked up how Suman died. She choked to death. It’s so sad.
Little sheep have no business hanging with wolves. Poor kid 😢
I guess i won't, but anyways, have a happy wednesday afternoon, Rebecca. Take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Started watching because of this post....sad
I've been watching it. So good, and hard to believe it's a true story.
Read the book the series is based upon. Very sad story.
Jesus Christ people can be so fucked up of what they did to her.
is there any way to find these interviews?
I don’t understand why make Rebecca Godfrey lesbian? She isn’t a lesbian or bisexual in real life. She had a husband and daughter. Why change a real person lifestyle? It’s weird
It's TV man 😂
Again, blame the Jehovah's Witness parents or church for whatever problems their children or family have. Like 99% of most families, religous or not, have really major problems with their kids. At least realistically portray the religious group involved. Too bad J.W.s view these portrayals as insignificant. They should really sue these lazy, crappy portrayals.
Now I know what this series is about I'm not going to watch it because I found the real story absolutely chilling and upsetting
‼️‼️💔 was watching but had to stop it was making so mad and uneasy .
jesus christ, the show makes me hate reena as much as her "friends".
‼️‼️ had to stop watching like how can you be so cruel to your parents
Seriously, if she was anything like what the show suggests then my... she was a real piece of work, herself... 😑
I mean, laying a false complaint of SA against your own father??!
Man that is messed up on every level... 😑
@@BrendanAsivo55 no seriously 😠
Edit : this is not victim blaming obliviously she was still young but my goodness to go to that extreme to fit in just to be killed by the very people. This story is insane
@@BrendanAsivo55 yea the show isn't exactly painting her as the victim
@@jp23x maybe not painting her as a saint* but she was the victim of murder. point blank.
just watch the current episode and highly doubt these teenagers were every remorseful. can't wait for the last episode. hope the family no longer lives there.
Hindus, being a diverse group, may have varying beliefs and practices, but here are some festivities that Hindus generally do not celebrate:
1. Christmas (December 25): A Christian holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
2. Eid-al-Fitr (dates vary): A Muslim celebration marking the end of Ramadan.
3. Easter Sunday (dates vary): A Christian holiday celebrating Jesus' resurrection.
4. Halloween (October 31): A Western festival with pagan roots, not part of Hindu tradition.
5. Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday of November in the US): A secular American holiday.
6. Hanukkah (dates vary): A Jewish festival of light, not observed by Hindus.
7. Yom Kippur (dates vary): A Jewish day of atonement, not part of Hindu tradition.
Keep in mind that individual Hindus may choose to participate in or respect these festivities as a gesture of cultural exchange or inclusivity. However, they are not inherently part of Hindu religious or cultural practices.
Watchmojo, is that strict too ?
Hey! I’m sorry, Most Hindus are open minded, they do celebrate it. Especially the famous holidays like Christmas and Halloween and I’m saying this as someone from India.
@@torilovato9500 period😂
Her story is just so sad..
I am watching it now.
How sad!!
2 kids in jail; wow
I won't say the incident is irrelevant but Victoria has had seven stabbings just in the month of April 2024 so it's not as if violent crime never happens here despite the image and publicity the capital prefers to emphasize.
This is really well made but I think all of these characters are horrible people, especially the writer protagonist, who manipulates and exploits these children.
Hey Ms Mogo, u are spreading false narrative by saying “ enforcing strict rule “ that’s not true. Everyone has free will, everyone. But as witnesses we have principles and standards. As do any religion. Please be careful with how u word things.
