    I'm running the narrow badlands on the front and superswampers on the back and they hook up great for sure.

    good review..I got a stampede 4x4 which i converted to a truggy. I put some 2.8 talon wheels trying to figure out which tread to use and this helped a lot thanks.

    I have talons coming in today and later on imma buy some badlands, badlands rear and talons front, I think that’ll be a great combo

    The talons look like they just suck. The badlands might look good but thats honestly just because they're big heavy wheels, and while the rustler takes off quick with them, they look like they'll cause understeer on the track. I think the wheels with the best balance between grip and slip are the duratrax six packs and the speedtreads tripple threat.

  • @shannonblack527
    @shannonblack527 Před 3 lety +1

    Do you think it would handle better if also put them on the front of the rustler. I know it’s a 2wd, it would look badass. Great video.

    • @wlatproductions8839
      @wlatproductions8839  Před 3 lety +1

      yes and no. when you put bigger tires on it changes the center of gravity making it higher. This makes the car easier to roll over. yes it offers good traction but the end result is more roll overs.

    The video was great and I recently got some duratrax six pack mt’s for my rustler but isn’t this test kind of irrelevant if you aren’t using the whole set? Because some tires may look better than others but how will the front react when steering and taking off and etc.

      The proline trencher is a decent all around choice. For 1/10th scale use they're available in a 2.2" size and they also have 2 different 2.8" sizes.

    • @wlatproductions8839
      @wlatproductions8839  Před 3 lety

      for speed runs use foams. some of the fastest guys in the industry like Philip Jolly and Raz shifrin use foams on their speed run. check out raz shifrin channel he breaks down every part of a car for a speed run.

    I ordered a set of the six packs for my rustler but got the wrong ones 😫
    I’m guessing 2.8 is correct but I’m not sure about offset, can you help?

    • @markoftheus
      @markoftheus Před rokem

      The 2wd rustler uses a different offset in the rear vs. the front. The rears have a much narrower offset because the rear hubs stick out further than the fronts.
      The rear offset is commonly labeled as 2WD electric rear.
      The front offset is commonly labeled as 2WD electric front, 4x4 front/rear, as well as 2WD nitro rear.

    • @markoftheus
      @markoftheus Před rokem

      You may have the wrong tires for where you're running. Another thing you could do to regain some of your traction is to loosen the slipper a bit. I run the slipper in my rustler at a looser setting than stock.

    Hey man, I'm wanting to move off of the stock tires for my kids 2wd Rustler to something bigger. He wants something more clearance etc for bashing. Any recommendations...and will I need to regear it? Running 2S Lipo

    • @wlatproductions8839
      @wlatproductions8839  Před 3 lety +1

      Any bigger tire changes the the center of gravity of the car making it easier to roll. You can cange the height of the car by making adjustments to the location of your screws along the suspension arms. If you do decide to change the tires to the pro line badlands for example you will get more height and you should lower the gearing so you dont burn up your motor. on my rustler i run the duratrax six pack and i love the performance i get out of them. hope this helps and happy bashing.
