All it does is give a good quarterback time to wait for somebody to come open, because a good quarterback that isn't hurried isn't going to throw the ball until then. Any defensive coordinator who does this should not be allowed on the bus back to the airport. (I am not an Auburn fan, but as soon as I saw a 2 man rush, I gave Alabama a better than 50% chance of winning.)
