Well he's not saying that he sexually LOVES the person he's singing about in the song, he's saying THANK YOU. It's about appreciation. Its dedicated to his dad who has supported him through his life and career.
My favorite Swedish entry and unfortunately, the only one since 2011 that didn't enter the top 5. This didn't need any gimmicks to impress. The staging was simple. It was just him, his amazing song and voice. Too bad the televoters can't appreciate simplicity.

I’m not swedish, but i went back and watched melodifestivalen 2013 recently (because one of my current favourite artists was there lol) and it was really good. There really were many great songs that year... (well. mostly all of them. not 100% sure about the banana song but it was fun too lol) I think it’s my favourite national final i’ve seen :’D
