When Trump prefaces something with “Not a lot of people know this ….” It’s because he’s making it all up as he goes along.
“Can you believe it folks”
“Only I can fix it”
“________ is/was/will be perfect”
“In two weeks”
“A big man, strong man; tears in his eyes”
“People walk up to me all the time and say ________”
… just all the -trump- isms really
he seems to pick up one "fact", and gets so excited that it doesn't occur to him to investigate any associated information. that "lincoln was a republican" bit is a good example.
That's a classic response from someone who has a condition that makes them think they are more intelligent than any one else. Just because they just found out something that most people already know. There is a name for this.
Or if hes anywhere close to the truth he was just told it and because he was just given some guidance on a subject its "Nobody knew" translation I didn't know until an hour a go. Usually though he wasn't listening fully and still gets a bit of the information wrong because he doesn't read but get told stuff.

My relatives faught in the battle to take the Baltimore Airport. His diaries said he was pinned down in the Starbucks for two days. Heroic man, i can only imagine
back in those days X was still called Twitter, and helped save millions !
I thought you made up the Baltimore Airport. It exists and we saved it!
I had a distant relative who was decorated in that bloody battle. Pinned down and outnumbered, they held firm in duty free for four days before being forced to surrender. Only after all the supplies of Toblerone bars and bottles of spirits were exhausted, did they finally surrender. So proud!
My ancestor marched all the way from Texas to fight in that battle, he said being pinned down in Starbucks was a lifesaver! His coffee cup is a treasured family heirloom.

I too served in 'nam (Vietnam) (70-71) Rich & was very proud to have served to maintain the freedoms, liberties, & justices all Americans enjoyed.
However, obviously, it will make me an unhappy camper if Agolf Twitler (Adolph Hitler spoof)(Trump) is elected president again with his authoritarian, autocracy, fascist status & ideology for America's future Rich. I feel my tour, in 'nam years later in 2023, was all in vain in '70-71, to come to this fascistic government for America's future. This, of course, is not what my forefathers fought & died for, to easily give away our freedom toard a fascist country for America.
It is obviously, our goal to beat Agolf Twitler in November 2024, to maintain tha freedom all Americans enjoy & to honor those who fought & died, to maintain our freedom that all Americans enjoys!

It's not like books exist, or first hand accounts, or documents, or artefacts, or art... (I do like statues, by the way, but I consider them to be a privilege; Confederate soldiers i.e. defenders of slavery, did not earn it).

Lincoln didn't have a phobia he suffered from depression especially after his son died. After experiencing death on a personal level he felt a personal connection with young soldiers dying in battle and it wore on him
