Our SWEET 16th Anniversary at Vogel State Park!

- This week we celebrate our sweet 16th anniversary at Vogel State Park in Blairsville Georgia. Ever since staying at Vogel State Park last November around Thanksgiving we couldn’t wait to try to get back and see it with the full Autumn colors. And let us just say it did not disappoint at all! Now I think we want to try to come back and experience Vogel State Park in spring, so we might try to book a campsite for spring break this year
We visited with Krag and Susan also with friends who recently moved to Murphy, North Carolina, Terry and Kathy along with making a day trip to Ellijay for the Apple festival and also Helen, Georgia for some Oktoberfest.
We did have one exciting moment coming back from Helen where we had no power in our RV and after an hour of diagnosing and talking to friends we finally figured out the issue was Hall accidentally hit the 12 V battery Killswitch inside the door trying to turn on the lights coming back in. 
The new safe t plus steering stabilizer did awesome on this trip really made the highway driving much more relaxing so we’re super happy with that purchase and I will leave a link here if you’re interested in looking at one.

Happy Anniversary ! My wife I celebrate our wedding anniversary every year since October 16, 1971 in Pigeon Forge and north Ga. Mountains also . We just back home in SE Ga. Nov 5 after rving for 2 weeks .

Well Shoot!!! It looks like a great trip! So beautiful too. I’d like to invite Lisa and I to that trip next Fall, if I may? We totally agree with you on the Fl campgrounds upgrading. Ga has it going on with the WIFI, cable, pull thru’s and Sewer hook ups. It’s like Resort camping up there! Anyways, Happy 16 years to our dear friends. Huge Love to ya’ll from us and don’t forget to give Nikki some scratches and a treat from us.

A couple years ago we stayed 2 weeks at the DeSoto Falls Recreation Area just south of Vogel SP on Hwy 19. It was a tight squeeze getting in with our 36ft MH and toad, but once in, the site was huge. We're FT retirees on a budget and this campground, though lacking the amenities of Vogel was perfect for us at only $10/night during peak season with our America the Beautiful pass. It was perfect for our visit to Helen and Unicoi SP. We don't mind the lack of amenities as we have solar and are set-up to boondock for 2 weeks at a time. There's a free dump station at Unicoi SP that we utilized. Enjoy your trip. Prost!
Wow! We were wondering if any Rv motorhomes or TT camped there! I guess it’s possible then. Good to know! Can’t beat $10! We just love that whole area of north Georgia! Who knows…might make it home when we retire someday!

@AlliChuckAdventures Nothing planned as of yet. We just got back from our 7 day cruise. My son and I camped last weekend with some family that was deer hunting. Had a great time with him while he was on leave. Wife and I may take a day trip to the North this weekend.

We enjoyed our time there. We were down there for a wedding so we stayed in an AirBNB nearby. I will take the camper down there next summer. I think the lesson learned is always make sure you have Mike's phone number. lol. Enjoyed the video.

When we travel to N Georgia from the Tampa area, we stay at Lane Orchards using our Harvest Host membership. It’s one exit south of the Bucees off I-75.

Funny you ask! Tonight’s extra video is us installing a cell booster. But we don’t think they had any WiFi and our signal with T-Mobile was really hit or miss in the park.
